The Story so far...
Day 0 - All the Fives
Day1 - the day after the night before
Day 2 - Dry times ahead...
Day 3 - Drink Story Mania
Day 4 - IF&WF
Day 5. If you thought yesterday was a wreck - OMG we're off to Universal, and you know what time that makes it - YEAH BABY IT'S 5'o'clock!!!
After our night "in" last night we are up and away from BWV in good time, arriving at RPR at around 9am. We are all checked in and a ground floor room is available, so we opt to take it.
The recent refurbs of the room are nice and it is a pleasant environment. The view is of a lot of foliage, but as we are only here for two nights we don't mind and it makes a nice change. The room is clearly a disabled one with bars everywhere in the bathroom, which may well come in handy after our trip to Margaritaville tonight!
Having checked in, we head over to Citywalk and have a mooch around some of the shops before heading into IoA. The only ride we go on is Spiderman, as neither of us are bothered about any of the others. It is a very pleasant day and we enjoy our amble around the park. Construction on Harry Potter Land (or whatever it's called) is well underway, and judging by the size of the building, it is going to be some sort of ride.
Getting back to Port of Entry, we stop off in the Backwater Bar for a quick cold one, and a very welcome cold one it is too.
After this we decide it is time for lunch and take a trip to Hard Rock. We always enjoy it in here and sit at the bar for a burger and pulled pork sandwich (Deb's was the burger in case you think I had both items). To drink Deb has a Rum Runner and I have a Hurricane to start with, followed by a Bull Blaster (which is an intriguing mix of Jagermeister and Red Bull - different, but a waste of good Jagermeister I think) and a quick Yuengling to finish with.
A most enjoyable diversion and after a look in the shop we have a walk across to Cigarz for me to enjoy a nice Cigar (which I do - a very pleasant Rocky Patel), where we both enjoy a Makers Mark on the rocks.
After this, it is time to head back to the room for a quick rest and to change ready for the evening's activities. On the way, we do stop in the lobby bar for a quick one - Mai Tai for Deb and a Sam Adams for me, now it really is time for us to get back to the rooms and sort ourselves out.
The rest of the evening ends a bit of a blur, but I'll do my best
Upon arrival at Margaritaville, there are no seats at the bar, so we elect to order a drink (always a good start) and see what happens. After a couple of swigs of our drinks (Lone Palm Ale for me and a Chardonnay for Deb) a couple leave their seats, so we are on the seats in a flash. Not long after, my beer is all gone, so it is time to start on the Margaritas.
As I cannot decide on one, I simply elect to start at the top and work down, whereas Deb takes a slightly different approach and has one with each different sort of Tequila. Luckily I managed to make a note of what we have, and it goes something like this...
Me...
Uptown Top Shelf
Desdemona's Raspberry Rita
Italian Margarita
Ruby Red Rita
Patron Rita
Deb...
Cabo Wabo
Tres Generacion
1800 Cuervo
Tres Generacion
As some of mine are frozen, I start get some stick from the bartende4r about drinking girls drinks. He reckons he can make me a Margarita that'll put me on my back - a challenge I am up to. For anyone who's not had one of my margarita's they are pretty strong so I am intrigued to see whether his is as strong as he thinks they are!
Needless to say they are nice and VERY strong, so I have a couple of these and Deb also has one.
It is getting late now (I think
) so a Corona to finish off and a Makers Mark on the rocks to go for the walk back!!
I did say it was getting late...
A good night was definitely had, and whilst I cannot remember the walk back to the room I know we did it as we wake up in bed the next morning!
A few more random shots of our night's activities...
My drink problem really starts to kick in...
It was a lot nicer than my face suggests...
Tune in tomorrow to find out how bad our hangovers were
