The Can I Coupon the Family to Disney World

Yay!! Welcome! Piggy had some trouble with sticky fingers. You know candy money but she's hanging in there. We're going to sell some toys at my son's school's flea market for more spending money.

The kids love coloring in the charts. I also made them travel books with everything we're going to do in there. I'm going to post pics and an update soon.

Loving the report!! MORE, MORE, MORE!!! lol

I hope you post pics of the rental house, I have always wondered how nice they actually are!

Totally used to people dropping out! The WHOLE extended family wants to go until payment time!

That's right. It's all OOOOoo we want to go then. Uh, you mean you need the money now.:headache: uh, now, yes. Then it's oh I don't have it right now maybe next time. And my response, okay. (in my head, uh-huh sure :rolleyes1)

Hey,
So I bet you're wondering about the title. The kids, shoot, Nita too decided that they only want to Disney. So no Universal Studios. Mom says woohoo :cool1: more savings for us. So once again, the schedule has changed. :headache: So here it is with dining plans. Sorta.

Arrival day: DTD no parks
Day 2: MK day breakfast @ CP before the park opens. :dance3: But were they happy? Oh no, I get complaints that we're on vacay and there's no early mornings on vacation. heh, I told y'all gon get up and we're going to be there on time. Or someone will die. Also Sugah Mama and Wellster are doing the Pirate League. So you know, I'll be posting pics.
Day 3: AK and lunch at RFC. This is a late start from home.
Day 4:Ohana and Epcot: This is my first special treat to myself. I'm doing the Behind the Seeds Tour. I'm a big beginner gardener and really I just want to see the Mickey shaped tomato.

Day 4:Ohana and Epcot: This is my first special treat to myself. I'm doing the Behind the Seeds Tour. I'm a big beginner gardener and really, I just want to see the Mickey shaped tomato.

Day 5: HS and FW. We're taking the kids to the Campfire and sing-a-long and they can watch the Electric Water Parade. We'll be buying our S'more stuff before we get there. Mom says, we will NOT be paying anything for a stick. We can just go get a free one off the ground. I said, we'll ship a couple from the backyard. Hey I got like 3 trees in the backyard any way. Mom says "We are surrounded by trees. I'm not buying nair (sp?) stick with all them trees around. Disney's not using them. Only an idiot buys sticks when they're sticks all around on the ground for free.

So here's the plan: since Monday is HS Night EMH, we'll leave the car at HS go to FW and when we're finished hop on the bus and get the car.

Ok, you're probably saying, com'on girl, the title, what about the title? Hold on it's coming. I want to lay out the schedule and you'll understand the title.

So, Day 6: MK again and WCC for lunch. This is a wing it day.
Day 7:Epoct and Girl's day. I'm treating Sugah Mama to tea at the Grand Floridian. And Segway Tour for me. I'm making them get up because there's no way, I'm paying $50 for a cab to go anywhere.
Day 8: :sad1:Our departure day, and another whatever day. We're in the air at 7:40 so we have all day.

So as I going through the menus and finding the best places to eat and a great price; and what do they ask for. Com'on guess.

Too many places right? GOLDEN CORRAL. You heard me, Golden Corral. I'm telling this to mom as I'm banging my head against the desk. And what does she say? " You know this trip would be different if we were going by ourselves." :laughing:Yeah I know, mom. I just can't figure out how to leave them yet. Thanks Mom.

So what are our offsite eats:
Steak n shake
Golden Corral
Perkins
Mc Donalds
Joe's Crab Shack (maybe)
I want good Mexican not Disney.

Oh and trying for T-rex. Devin says he doesn't want to do any extras he just wants to show Eli the fun of Disney.

Til next time.

Hi, I'm here from my PTR. I think it's a great idea that you're staying offsite and saving money!! We always stay offsite (except for one time, this past Christmas, and I couldn't believe how tiny ASM was, compared to some offsite places). In addition, most offsite places have a fridge & microwave!

How scary is that fake Minnie??!!! :lmao:

And I love your ideas for saving, especially the piggy bank. I have what I call the "budget bucket". Mostly every day, I empty all of my change in there and will roll it all up, to use on the trip. Every little bit helps!!! I try not to use change, so I can put it all in there. Even if I go somewhere and make a purchase for ,say $1.05, I pay with $2, so I can bring my change home & save it. So far, I think I have rolled almost $50 to go toward our trip.

Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks for joining.:yay: We tried the piggy. The kids run around the city looking for change on the ground. Now we've moved on to gift cards for food purchases. This is our first time staying offsite and I feel like I'm gonna miss EMH. But we are excited about the house.

I've found another way to save money. I'm going to add pages to their travel books for autographs. KaChing! $12 savings each.

Do you ever wish you were an only child?

Today I do. So we've officially made the 45 day mark today.:cool1: And I've yet to receive any money from my sister. She got her tax refund in March and was supposed to give me $1000 towards Disney. So what did she do with it? She spent it. The whole thing.:sad2: She's been telling mom that she gave me $500. Like mom wasn't going to talk to me. Really. Come on, we did not fall off the stupid tree. So I asked Nita what in God's name did she spend it on. and you know what she said. "Everything." (this is in the pitiful voice) "I didn't have a job so I used my tax refund to get by." Okay, I know you're thinking that was pretty smart. She used the money to tide her over until she found another job. right? Wrong! If you call spending $300 on a birthday party for Wellster, when he only wanted cupcakes for him and his classmates at the daycare. Hair done, and we're talking $100 for hair and then paying for it to get done plus clothes and other stupid things. Liquor for Channy's birthday party (you know she got be the baller) and no Channy doesn't have a job, nor is she looking. There are jobs in Philly, even our broke school district is still hiring for some positions. So she really wasn't using it for getting by at all. She lives with mom so her rent is super low.

Even Devin and Albert are irritated. Devin says leave her of course, just take Joell and Eli. Mom and I are like, uh no, why should she get a free vacation from her kids? We'll take Joell because he worked really hard saving money for Disney. Mom and I did agree that if she came up with $700 by June 11th, Nita can go she would have to pay the rest off in monthly installments.

Okay, on to happier stuff.:cheer2:
Devin's 15th birthday is in 12 days.:cool1: He made it without me killing him. Woohoo!. I told him that he wasn't getting anything for his birthday because he already got a PS3, games and a new phone. But the one thing he wants is a balzac balloon ball that he saw in Disney World six years ago. He still complains how we tricked him out of getting it. So as a surprise I'm getting him one but I'm not giving it to him until we get on the plane. SURPRISE! I know twisted right, but hey that's how I roll.:lmao: Besides he's already costing me more money. I'm mean how dare he work his butt off and pull his grades up and make the football team? It's costs me $200 and then class dues on top of that. Really, really? Seriously I'm super proud of him. The coach is one of the deans, who rubs Dev the wrong way. But he stuck with it and made the team. He even got a "good job" from the coach.
Go Pumas! I'm gonna be a great football mom.:cheer2:

Next, Family Dollar has those kid tough cameras on sale for $20. I'm going to pick one up for Sugah Momma and one for Wellster. They get them before we leave. I had to put away my megapixel snobbery and get them something they can use. AAAANNNNDDDD, they are in my price range.::yes::

So looking on the Disboards I found a definite I'm getting one. A plant from Epcot. OMG it is so cute. I'm gonna have a piece of Disney in my garden. :cool1: Everyone is putting in their orders for suvies. Turkey legs and mugs. Shoot, I'm just going for the pics.

Hey everyone,

I know what you're thinking. Girl it's been a long time since you've posted and here you go with the weird titles again. Well you see, it's my countdown song to Disney and it definitely keeps me running when I'm feeling tired and hurt. The last few lines do a countdown; it goes:

I got ten more miles to go
I got nine, eight, seven, six, eight, six
I got a five more miles to go
Now over the hill just around the bend
Huh although my feet are tired I can't lose my stride.

just change a few words and there you go a disney countdown song. You know where to change the words.

So what's on tap. Well we got the car. I was going to use either mine or mom's discounts but neither saved us any money so we went with Payless car Rental. We got the minivan for 290. Not bad considering.:thumbsup2

Next, Albert may not make it to Disney AGAIN:furious:He got himself into some big trouble that he may just not get out of. So our grand family trip went from 14 to 6/7. Wow it's like the incredible shrinking trip. But hey we'll know tomorrow if Albert can come or not.

So here's something people don't think about, mailing their luggage. Oooh people say they're going to do it because of the airline fee but how many actually do it? Me, me, me.:wave2: That's right, we're mailing the luggage UPS. It saved us $115 whoop whoop! :cool1: :cool1:(don't cha wish there was a kaching smiley) We're shipping them to the same store where we had our tickets shipped from Undercovertourist. Right on Kirkman Rd. And yes we bought the tickets from Undercovertourist right before the rates went up. We moved money around so slick it was like we were playing 3 card Monte.pixiedust:

Now here's our revised schedule for the week:
Thursday: Arrival and DTD
Friday: MK and Breakfast at CP. Pirates League for Sugah Mama and
Wellster
Saturday: AK with lunch at RFC
Sunday: Epcot and Ohana with behind the seeds tour for me
Monday: Beach Day:beach: and Brevard Zoo.
Tuesday: Park hopper day HS/MK with lunch at WCC and Dinner at T-rex
Wednesday: Epcot with afternoon tea but it may change to ice cream at
Beaches and Cream and Segway Tour for me
Thursday: Departure Day.

Wooo right. :faint: I'm still trying to fit in the Chip and Dale and the EWP. Mom says where's the down time? There's no down time in Disney. You sleep when you get home.:rotfl:

On a real life note: I got a forced transfer over the weekend. :worried: In school district language, I still have a job but no school. I had to pick another school. All the really good schools and close to home schools were taken rather quickly; and me, well I was at the bottom of the list and there was of course next to nothing left. But I got an okay school I guess. The woman there actually tried to hold a conversation with me. How was I doing? Really? Did she really want me to answer truthfully or was it a rhetorical question. The words were censored in the head. But I could sign the paper that says I have the right to return if a position is open at my old school. Uummmm Nooo. Clean break. God I'll miss some of my coworkers. Hopefully we'll get to go out for drinks some time. Speaking of which, I will be facebooking drinks from around the world. I got a few that I want to try.

As I say good night, I wanted to leave you with a question. What do you think of this for my TR? Song titles from my MP3 (since I won't get an IPod). Each post will have something to do with a song from my playlist. Since I truly love music :music:and of course I'll tell how our spending goes.

Til Next time! 7 DAYS to Go!!!!party::jumping1:
