Well, if we're bumping old threads, could someone please find the one where the neighbors were throwing the brown paper bag into their window every day? Please? I'm sure we'll never get to the bottom of it, but maybe we could come up with our own endings!

I remember that old thread.

If someone is doing this as a joke, then why not bump good old threads. We had a lot of great classic DIS threads, like the "Watch" threads. Remember the "stinking dead body neighbor" thread? That one was hilarious!

I noticed on a couple of the threads that have been bumped on the CB, the person doing the bumping has links to an online store at the bottom of the post. They are for things like video game controllers on a thread about video games, or for cameras on a thread about cell phones. Seems like spamming to me. Maybe he was the "ghost" that bumped that one thread and the mods already removed his post.

I noticed that too. But when I saw it, the person only had a few posts, so they wouldn't have been able to put links in their posts or have much of a signature...seemed they might have just been doing it to up the post count so as to spam all that much better.

I always feel stupid after responding to a thread, and then later someone says something about it being an old thread.

I never look to see when the thread was started, I just don't think to do it. I see a topic I want to say something about, so I read through it, and say what I have to say. I keep telling myself to watch the dates, but I always forget.

You know, there is "Turner Classic Movies" channel. Maybe we need a "Dis Classic Threads" board!!
