I loved it!! Oh, and I cried, too. I don't normally watch Disney-themed documentaries without my husband, but I just couldn't wait with this one!

My husband came home from work tonight in a mood, so he kind of grumbled when I mentioned The Sherman Brothers. As a matter of fact, he's watching "Die Hard" right now. Yikes. He's promised that tomorrow he'll give The Sherman Brothers his full attention.

Next up in my Netflix queue is Walt and El Grupo. :goodvibes

I've started it on streaming tonight! I can't wait to finish-DH has taken over the tv with the PS3, though, so I'll have to finish it tomorrow. I like it so far, and I think it will help me, in some ways, understand my grandmother's relationship with her siblings. In the interview, their sons were talking about how that generation doesn't feel the need to work things out, and I'm thinking that's likely a big part of her family, if that makes any sense.

:thumbsup2 It makes perfect sense to me. My grandmother and her siblings were the same way.

My DW and I watched it and Walt & El Grupo on Netflix instant. We thoroughly enjoyed both and it gave me a deeper appreciation of that era of Disney. We both also LOVED Waking Sleeping Beauty, which isn't available on instant, but is worth watching -- even our 8yo DD liked that one.

:thumbsup2 We watched Waking Sleeping Beauty last week (Our kids, too - 12 & 8) and we all loved it!

Just finished The Boys.
I am so glad that the sons of the boys made this documentary about their fathers. Very well done. Good to learn the story behind the music.

I'm so glad it wasn't just me that cried when I watched The Boys!

For me, it made me think a lot about my brother and I. We're not close at all - we don't fight really, but we just struggle to communicate. We're just VERY different people. It made me think a lot about ways we do communicate and the small commonalities we do have. Perhaps, like the Shermans, we can find a way to "meet in the music."

I'm adding Walt and El Groupo to my NetFlix instant queue! I think I'm going to purchase WSB - haven't seen it since it was in theaters and I definitely want to give it another viewing.

I just noticed that The Boys is available "instantly" on NetFlix via the Wii streaming disc I have. Woohoo!

The extras from The Boys kept me up late last night. I really like extras!
I saved the jukebox of their songs to listen to today.

They really were a talented team. So interesting to learn their personal story. I hope the cousins will be able to reunite the families even if their fathers do not re-connect.

I am so glad that Jeff and Gregg Sherman were able to make this film and share it with the world. Love the film!

I guess I need to start NetFlix back up and get "The Boys"...it sounds great. I got Waking Sleeping Beauty and I loved it.
