The Boathouse, a first meal at DTD's newest restaurant

What amazing pictures you took!! I think we are going to for a drinks and an appetizer on the next trip on one of our off days from the parks. I really want to go out in the amphicar, but only the launch is looks fun, the ride itself seems a little boring.

I've seen 2 different menus for the Boathouse. One has sandwiches/burgers (Lobster Roll in particular) and the other does not. Is the sandwich menu only offered certain times? Also, with a reservation, can you eat outside near the bar?

Sandwich menu is the lunch menu. There's lots of bar seating available for folks without reservations. And the night we were there, the high-top bar tables were also first-come, first-served.

We stopped in for lunch at The Boathouse this past Saturday and it WAS GREAT. The waiter we had, Billy, was fantastic and provided us exceptional service. The food was very good. The seafood and raw bar options were really good. The Boathouse is owned by The Gibson Group, which is a great steakhouse in Chicago. Billy told us that the steaks they serve are the same high quality steaks they serve in Chicago. We can't wait to go back and made reservations for our trips on December and again in February.

TIP: If you can't get a reservation on the Disney Dining Reservation web site, try OpenTable or call the restaurant directly to get a table.

We're doing lunch in Nov on our departure day. Thought it would be a good way to try it and end the trip!
