I am a fellow Disney Vacation Club member and I own at Saratoga Springs. I have used my membership only once before and stayed at Old Key West. In late May, my partner and I are staying at the Boardwalk Villas for the very first time. I am trying to figure out which part of the Boardwalk complex the studio villas are located. I think we requested a preferred view (of the pool or gardens). Also, are there wheelchairs available to rent directly from the Boardwalk resort?

Can't help you on the wheelchair issue but the DVC villas are on the left side of the lobby when you enter from the drive up. Studios can be anywhere. If you have a pool view you would be "inside" sort of. A Boardwalk view would have a view of the boardwalk, lake, Yacht and Beach Club and some Epcot (Spaceship Earth) and some views of the fireworks. The standard views are usually facing the entry and parking lot.

Sometimes the resort will have wheelchairs for use by the guests. But they are on a first come first serve situation. So if you really need a wheelchair at the resort, you'll want to order from an offsite location. Check the disabilities board for help on that.

We used Walker Mobility for an ECV for DMIL on our last trip, they were great to work with!

I can't remember about wheel chairs but there are ECVs available for rent on the boardwalk at the same location as the surrey bike rentals. When we stayed at BLT we rented from Walker Mobility and were very pleased with their service. What view do you have reserved?

It says "deluxe studio garden view". Should I reccomend something different? I have never stayed at BWV so any suggestions are much appreciated.

No, at seven months out (I'm guessing you don't own at BWV), that's the best you can do. You can request Luna Park pool or the leisure (quiet) pool. Or you might try for the Village Green.

We had village green on our stay. We could see illuminations and part of the boardwalk from our balcony, which was huge. I would request village green nd hope for the best.

I've seen a few maps doctored to show the various BWV view types. The link below is an old rendering -- but still valid. The three highlighted areas show the different villa view types. As mentioned earlier, studio units are scattered throughout.

Wow...I forgot about that one. It was my first attempt at "explaining" visually the BWV view categories.

I'm partial to the aerial photo one below, though it still has the building near the top of the back that has since been torn down and replaced with a nice garden area:

We liked the quiet pool view in the "garden" view category. Is that really what Disney is calling this view category now?

Granny -

THANK YOU! I was looking for the version you posted just above but couldn't find it. Glad you joined the thread with the update.

Thx!

So I added the request for a room near "village green". Where are these rooms located and does anyone have pictures of the view?

I believe the "village green" area is right above where the elevators are marked on the picture. In the red/blue area. Facing what is the inner courtyard between the BWV and Boardwalk Inn. Can't help with pictures of the view. I'll bet you could find some videos on youtube.

They would be over the Wyland Gallery if you know where that is located. Facing the grassy area where you can rent the surrey bikes and you catch the boat to Epcot and DHS.
