Well this is it. We get up early without the help of Mickey and get everything packed and ready to go. I call to get a wakeup call for the next half hour just so I can hear Mickey's voice one last time...he never calls:confused: Oh well. Leaving is a slow, horrible and painful process. I take one last look out off of our balconly and Greg says come on lets go. I tell him I better take one last look and he giggles and and says "Nice try me lady but you have done that 8 times now!" It made me laugh and I made the one last call to the bellman and the vallet who were up to our room in record time with the car waiting. We drove to Pop Century to see what we could see. It looks very interesting. You could not see much from the road but you could see that it is just like the otehr All Star resorts, but quite a bit farther away. One last stop to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We got out and took a looksie and decided this was a very cool place. Off in our little Neon we search for a Starbucks for some coffee. No Starbucks to be found but the hot light is on at Krispy Kreme. We stop and get a few donuts for later and decide Waffle House is the breakfast choice. Don't ask me why I like that place, I really don't know....I think it could be the hasbrowns, but we eat our breakfast, fill up the car with gas and we are off to the airport. The flight home is uneventful and we get home at about 5:00. Our little furry boy Barkley ( West Highland Terrier) is elated to see us and loves the Mickey blankie his daddy got him with his name embroidered at the bottom. (why they do not have a pet store there I will never know becasue they could make a killing just of fof us!) Greg and Barko snuggle up in bed with the blankie and I order a pizza and we call it a night. We had a great trip!!! I am hoping to be able to call Greg me lord soon, as we do have some plans on building that castle.....maybe even in Florida as we have seriously been considering moving. Then we just might have to get the annual passes.... and there could be many more trip reports.....dole whips, pictures with Mickey, Beaver Tails...oh I could go on and on. We had a great time and looking forward to the next trip. Thanks for sharing in our fun!

Thanks for the GREAT trip report! I enjoyed reading about each day. I'm taking my parents for their first trip later this month and hoping it doesn't become a tension filled vacation for any of us!

I total agree about the Disney themed pet store! I would buy the place out for my 2 pugs! I can just imagine Disney themed chew toys, treats, beds, food and water dishes, etc!

:D Thanks so much for posting your trip report! It was very entertaining to read. Hope that blister is better!

your birthday button at the Magic Kindom. Wear it and wear it proudly. Many CM's go out of their way to make sure you have a special day. I wore mine on Tuesday even though my birthday is not until March and really enjoyed all to little extra attention and pixie dust I had received. I got a birthday card from the cast of the Great Movie Ride, was sung to by the CM's making PS resseis at MGM, many cast members wished me a happy birthday, got to ride in front of a monorail and the list goes on and on. It was great fun. Enjoy your trip and your birthday!! I will be looking for your trip report as well.

thanks for posting - sounds like a great trip (family and all)
I went last year on my birthday and it was a ball, I'll be back for another bday celebration in 2003 and will definately get the badge!

I read all of the installments of your trip report and enjoyed each one. What a wonderful dream, building a "castle" in Florida.

This was fun to read, thanks for taking the time to post :)
