Day 2 Move to Boardwalk Villas, EE for MK then hit MGM....

We get up long before the alarm clock and I have visited the bathroom several times throughout the evening with this rumbley in my tummy...but hey we have people to see, places to go and things to see. I am up quite some time before Greg and decide I will go and get us checked in at the Boardwalk (we rented points from a DVC member! I would highly reccomend this as our new digs were divine and Al Taylor was the best!! The DVC memeber we rented points from. $810.00 for 5 nights in a 1 bedroom villa with a washer/dryer, whirlpool tub and kitchen. I did not have any intensions of using the kitchen exceprt for storing water and pop, but it was there if we needed it). I get us checked in and low and behold our villa was ready at 6:30 in the morning. I am absolutely stunned when I walk in. I am waiting for someone to pinch me just to make sure I am in the right place....but no one was there so I just stood in awe. The bathroom alone was the size of the room at the Dolphin. There was a whilpool tub jsut off of the bedroom, and the "other" bathroom with a shower, sink and toliet off of that. The bedroom was huge with a king bed and an amoire with a television in it. Off of the bedroom was a huge balcony that overlooked the bridge to the front enterance of the hotel. At night you could even see the fireworks from Illuminations. The living room was very comfortable with a big couch and a comfy chair to sit in, also with a balcony. There was also a dining area witha table and 4 chairs right of of the kitchen that was equiped with just about everything one would need....including a dishwasher and dishes to boot. I hurried up back to teh Dolphin to let Greg know we had hit the jackpot of rooms and he was ready to start the day. We were able to express check out of the Dophin and had our luggage brought to our new digs later in teh day. Greg wanted to see the room so we made a quick stop to check it all out then on to MK for ee. I msut tell you, all the people who say the attendance is down... I must disagree. There were people everywhere. We met my mom at MK and had a great start to a funfilled day. We rode Buzz, TTA, the train, Sapce Mountain (just me and Greg) and Buzz one last time then headed ove to MGM tyo meet the rest of the gang.
MGM was just as crowded as MK and the only two accents I heard were Jersey and UK. It was really quite funny. Greg and I laughed as one guy even asked us what we were doing here with our Chicago accents? Too funny. We were able to get a lot accomplished in the morning as we rode the GMR, WWTBAM, The Drew Carey thing (which we all thought was stupid), RNR and ToT. Then it was on to lunch......Prime Time Cafe. Now remeber if you will teh cast of charecters...we were all there...we got sat at two differant tables but somehow mom, dad, stepdad, siter and me all got sat at one table. Our waiter yelled at dad for wearing his hat at the dinner table....and told all of the "parents" to stop bickering. My sister and I just laughed and laughed. At the otehr table were the boys and teh kids. Their waiter let the kids be teh parents and before you know it, Harry was standing in the corner with his nose holding up a packet of sugar on the wall. We all laughed and had a wonderful time. The food was very tasty and portions were big enough to share (which is what me and my sister did.) Lunch for the 7 of us was $120.00 on me and we were off to enjoy the rest of the day. Shortly after lunch my tummy had that darn rubley again. I decided to head back to the room and rest for just a bit. I told Greg he could stay and hag out with everybody if he wanted to and he said NO WAY!!!! I can't say that I blame him. So off to the room we went. I unpacked and got settled in the room. I took off my shoes and on my third toe my blister now had a blister. Go figure.....I had prepared myself withg Thorlo socks and New Balance walking shoes...this should not be happening. We took a little nap and were off to Epcot to see what we could see. We wandered around the International Gateway and there goes that darn tummy again......back to the room for a little rest and relaxation. We sat out on our balcony and watched Illuminations. It was awesome. Then a thought occured to me.....don't drink the water...maybe that was the problem. Greg ran down to the store and stocked our fridge with bottled water and pop. Maybe that would help. We called my mom and step dad to see what their plans were for teh next day as they were going to be leaving the next day. Breakfast plans were made with them. Next I call my sister and we decided that the kids wanted to go to MK so that was the plan for the next day. We got to bed early and had a good night's sleep........can't wait for Mickey to call.......

I loved reading about your reaction to the BWV 1-bedroom unit. They are awesome, aren't they. Very hard to go back to staying in a regular hotel room once you've stayed in one. We never use the kitchen for actual cooking either, but my, it sure is nice having it there!;)

up....I dont' think it was the water......cause I drink it all the time when we were there....maybe a flu bug that crept up on you....hope you feel better fast

This day sounds much better than the first! The Room sounbds fantastic - I think I will look into renting points next year!

I had a few foot issues too last week. Thank God for Moleskin! I hope you got to feeling better! Off to read the next.

I was lucky enough to stay in a one bedroom unit at Old Key West and it was awesome. It was like this beautiful little apartment.

Sounds like you got a great rate too. I would love to stay at BWV someday.

Too bad you had a rumbly tummy :(

Thanks for posting this.
