The bigger Items.

Do most people bring their computer's for any specific reason? I know some probably bring some for personal use, a way to connect with people back home, etc. But is there a reason for it otherwise? If I take the classes, will I need one? Will I need a printer? What are the other big items that most people think that I may not think to bring. Like, tv, etc. Do you bring those are do people normally all go buy one together the day you get there??

Having a computer would be extremely helpful, but I'd suggest investing in a laptop. Much easier to manage.

I'm bringing a printer to hook up for it, also a small TV with my gamecube. Pretty much if it fits in whatever you're taking to get to the program, it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm trying to be space savvy for my roommie and limit myself to two or three boxes of stuff. Perhaps setting a limit would make the choices of what to bring easier. Unfortunately there's no way to know if your roomies will want to get one of those big items together. (Plus that might cause a lot of fights when it's time to move out) so it never hurts to bring your own.

The biggest item I'm bringing is my floor fan. Can't sleep without it

Most people usually bring a computer (or at least, most people that I knew on the CP, anyway). It's just easier then trying to get to the computer labs (which have certain hours they are open). If you take a class, most likely you will need one (I did for mine).

Bringing a printer will be up to you. I just printed my stuff at the Learning Centers at the parks, or at the labs in the clubhouses if they were open.

A tv would also be up to you. We had one in my apartment last summer, but I didn't watch a lot of tv. I was in the parks most of the time. Some other big items would be a radio, kitchen items (coffee machine, toaster, ect).

I never even thought of a fan or a radio. I would be lost without either of them too. ha. Thanks guys!

I'm bringing a 26" LCD TV and a PS3, and they should both fit fine inour bedroom.

The only major electronic device I'm bringing is my laptop. I'm flying down so I can only bring what fits in 2 pieces of luggage that don't go over 50lbs lol. A TV, printer, and fans can't come with me, unfortunately. I think that will be okay for a while. Other than that, I've got my iPod, my iHome, and my portable iPod TV thingy that will be useful for the plane, lol.

I brought my laptop (couldn't live without it!). Only one of my roommates took a Disney class and she did need a printer. One of my other roommates had a printer, but the roommate in the classes went out and bought her own. I brought a tiny tv and a dvd player and a vcr because I cannot miss my favorite shows. If you make sure your tv is tiny enough, then you're less likely on having it be the main tv that is in the living room (selfish, but if I bring a tv for my use, then it's going in my room). One of my roommates went out and bought a bigger tv because she figured she needed one for back home anyways. Another roommate (the one that brought the printer) went out the first day and bought a toaster oven and a mini vacuum. I also brought down a pot and a pan because they don't supply you with much of those and sometimes you will wait days until your roommate cleans out the pot they last used.
