I have blatently swiped this idea from another forum

So tell us the best and worst concerts you have ever been to

My best ever concert was the Black Eyed Peas last year at the LG Arena (I was up boogie-ing all evening), closely followed by the Spice Girls reunion concerts at the O2 and the MEN

The worst concerts I've been to were, back in the olden days I saw the Human League in concert. The two girls walked off in a huff when there was a bit of heckling, and more recently we saw Usher, I never knew that man knew so many ballads (boring !!)

The best concert I have ever been to was the Final Wham concert at Wembley Stadium. The atmosphere was amazing, it was a gorgeous sunny day and I was with some great friends. We were also young and crazy and let loose in London on our own for the the first time ever. We had an absolute blast.

The worst .... probably the Lightning Seeds at a really seedy venue in Liverpool. The band were really good and I liked the music but the venue was gross ... the floor was swimming with beer and it was packed, no where to sit down, and I was stuck at the back somewhere and couldn't see a thing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I was also in my 30s, so it may just have been a case of me being a bit too old for that type of student environment. :rotfl2:

These days I prefer to go to concerts where there are seats and preferably in a theatre and I much prefer musical theatre to actual band concerts - definitely a sign of age !!

Best: Tenacious D - with my best friend in Glasgow SECC, right at the front row and singing along to everything!!
Or one of the McFly concerts I've been too - can't really single one out - they are my guilty pleasure :lovestruc

Worst: Oasis - was awful, so boring - walked out about half way through!

Best one was Bruce Springstein in Paris. It was an outdoor concert back in the 80's and everyone was sitting around in shorts and t shirts with a few drinks. He was on for 4 hours and when he needed a break, he'd sit on stage and tell stories about growing up. Absolutely brilliant :goodvibes

The worst one was Van Morrisson in Bournemouth. Didn't sing many songs we knew, wouldn't do an encore and seemed totally peed off :headache:

Best one Ive been to was Bros at Wembly Stadium many moons ago :goodvibes

the worst was a smash hits poll winners party also many moons ago:blush::rotfl:

Hmmmm...I have a three-way tie for the best I've been too if that's okay :lovestruc Firstly, Robbie Williams at Old Trafford Cricket ground and then P!nk at the MEN arena, along with Backstreet Boys in Manchester & Birmingham (many times!)

Worst - has to be one of the X-Factor shows we seen, I think it was the one with Leona, we were so bored. We've never gone to watch another since :lmao:

I don't think I have ever been to a bad concert. I didn't enjoy a concert I went to recently by a guy who was in Pink Floyd. But I only went as DH wanted to, he likes that music and I don't really. I was bored!

The best concert, probably Robbie Williams at Knebsworth. The atmosphere was amazing and we were right at the front so had a great view!

The best was Robbie Williams at Millenium Stadium, Cardiff.....he was fab!!!!

.....mind you I am hoping that seeing Take That this summer will go to the top of my list:thumbsup2

Okay, I'm showing my age ....

Worst - Gordon Lightfoot ... he just sat there on an empty stage and played his guitar and sang.

Best - Queen!

I used to work as an usher back in the 70's at a venue (hockey stadium) that had lots of artists perform. I saw Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Queen, Boston, Kansas, Blue Oster Cult, Beach Boys, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, etc. I remember the night before Queen performed, Kiss had been at the local university and the audience members hearing had not yet returned to normal!!! LOL.

Oh what a great thread, problem is I dont think I have a worse concert, Ive enjoyed every single one I have been to, but my top 3 would be:

3rd- Prince - NIA Arena some years back.

2nd - Big Audio Dynamite - 2 weeks ago in Shepherds Bush, waited 25 years for a reunion tour and it was fantastic.

1st- Placebo- Birmingham NIA last year, Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

If I had to pick a naff one, it probably would have been the Nolans, when I was 17:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:, although they were great at the time:)

Best... Good Charlotte this year at Leeds O2
Worst... Katy B ... Went for a friend but I didn't really know her back then and having to pretend to enjoy it was tough

Going to see David Guetta on Thursday... I'm hoping that is going to be good :thumbsup2

The best concert I went to was a joint Billy Joel and Elton John concert (Piano Man and Rocket Man back to back).

It was at the Miami Dolphin's stadium in 1995 (I think) and was amazing. Had hoped to do it again when they played Wembley after we returned to the UK but BJ called off sick - still a great concert by Elton though - what a showman!

Can't say I have been to any really bad concerts but definitely the cheesiest concert I went to was Donny Osmond at the SECC a couple of years ago - but great fun though;)

havent really been to a bad concert (then again havent been to that many), but i didnt particularly enjoy bon jovi, i only went because gary wanted to see them but only knew about 3 of the songs in a two hour show. they were very good showmen though, so i give them credit for that.

best concert i've been to has to be hands down - MUSE. fave band and they put on an awesome show, seen them once at the o2 and once at wembley.
not really a concert, but it was at the o2 so i'm going to put it in, loved seeing jeff dunham (american comedian/ventriloquist)

Or one of the McFly concerts I've been too - can't really single one out - they are my guilty pleasure :lovestruc

They are one of my guilty pleasures too - although I haven't been to a concert......yet!

I haven't had a bad concert so far but I guess the one I enjoyed the least was Oasis at Knebworth (1996).

My Fave three would be:

Robbie Williams at Wembley Arena (1999)

Robbie Williams at Croke Park, Dublin (2006)

Knebworth 1990 - which included Pink Floyd, Cliff Richard, Tears for Fears, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Status Quo, Phil Collins/Genesis, Robert Plant.

I am hoping that Take That in June will top the list, especially as I had to sell my tickets & missed The Circus tour. :guilty:

The best concert ever was last year I saw Green Day for my birthday!! They played for almost 3 hours, it was so much fun! They always give a great show, I saw them in 2004 and that was great!! I have to say The Foo Fighters put on a great show as well!

If I have to pick a worst I guess it would be Kansas, went with a friend to a free concert series and I only knew two of their songs but those were good.

Never been disappointed with Meatloaf, amazing live every time we have seen him, 2nd would have to be Kaiser Chiefs. 3rd Beautiful South.

Only concert I have walked out on, Chicago, thankfully it was a free concert last year at Universal Mardi Gras.

I am 99% sure when I eventually get to see Black Eyed Peas they will be up near the top, they are the only CD's I have listed to in my van for over a year, love their stuff.

I am really going to show my age here  but the best concert was Hot Chocolate and the worst was the Boomtown Rats - they were so awful my friend and I walked out.

The best concert I've been too was Gwen Stefani about 3 years ago at the SECC, my friend and I had such an amazing night and we still talk about it today.:) I saw Taylor Swift in March as well and she's definitely in my top 3!

I've never really been to a bad concert, but if I'd have to pick one I'd pick Kylie, she was fantastic, I just felt so unwell that night I hardly remember anything that happened and most of my memories of it I took from all the pictures my mum had taken!

Been very fortunate in that the majority of the gigs I've been to have been superb, the best has to be the Happy Mondays at Elland Road in 1991, The La's, The Farm and Northside all supported and it was probably the high point of the 'Madchester' music scene.

My other favourite would be Kasabian at the O2 in Leeds, the interaction with the crowd was excellent and they played a long set of their best songs from three albums.

I'll whisper the worst gig and hope that my missus doesn't read this, it would definitely have to be Bucks Fizz at Blackpool last year, I went under sufference so that she wouldn't miss out as they were her favourite group from her youth, but I was definitely not in their target audience, and having to spend the day in Blackpool reminded me of how much of a dump it was/is!

Best: P!nk at Newcastle Arena, Nickelback at Sheffield Arena and Goo Goo Dolls at Leeds O2 Academy - all front row/front block! :woohoo:

Worst: Steps - a girl at school convinced me to go with her. I don't remember anything of this show other than there might have been big sunflowers on stage.
The other worst was the very first Pop Idol tour with Will & Gareth at Sheffield Arena - WHY?! :scared1:
