MY WDW STORY
It happened April, 2003. I'm a boy, and I was fourteen and I was leaving alone from CA to FL to see my grandparents in Bradenton. I had an early flight, and my dad took me to the airport.

We used to live in CT for 11 years, and moved out to CA. We had been to WDW so many times, that we didn't settle for the Disney Land. We were thinking about making a trip.

My dad was taking me to the airport, and we spent the ride talking about WDW. It was a great conversation, and I was kinda bummed it had to end when we got to SFO.

I left and arrived at my Grandparents and on the 2nd day I got a call. It was my dad. "Check the mailbox. I sent you a package." I ran to the mailbox and there was a package with a sheet of paper and my official Disney book.

The sheet said that I had to answer 10 questions and if I got them right, I would go to WDW and stay at the Swan. I answered the 10 questions and my dad said that now I had 10 minutes to get the tickets. He said that we had to drive to the Walmart down the road and go to the customer service rep. and tell her my name, and she would give me tickets and instructions. Then he hung up.

We rushed to the Walmart, and I ran in as fast as I could, and my dad was sitting there waiting for me! I though he was 3000 miles away and he was 3 feet in front of me. I hugged him and he said, "Your going to disney world!"

It was the best trip ever. And while I was there, My best friend from CT met us down there! It was awsome! Thats my Disney story. We are both off to the World in July!

If you could maybe post some messages telling my dad just how unbelieveably great he is, I would appreciate it! THANK YOU!!::MickeyMo

I don't think anyone reading this post could come up with any conclusion other than -- "Wow!! What a terrific Disney Dad!" I've run into some people out there who just don't get it, but I truly believe that Disney makes magic happen! I hope you enjoy your trip (I know you will!).

He seems to really know how to make great memories for his kid! Lucky you and good for him! And good for you for appreciating and recognizing how great he is... that's probably the best gift or compliment he could ever receive... is the love and respect and appreciation of his child.

Your dad is awesome!! What a great surprise. That's one of the best stories I've heard. A+++ for your DD. :earsboy:

What a great story and what a wonderful father you have!!!!
I could never pull something like that off, because I would so excited myself that I would have to tell about it.

That is also the perfect answer to people who think their teens are too old for Disney.

It's also nice to see a teen who thinks his dad is great, and isn't embarassed to tell it; kudos to both of you!

That story put a lump in my throat...that's was beautiful! What a great dad you got there, way to go Dad!

Enjoy your next trip!:teeth: :teeth:
