The best time to fly

Trying to figure out the best time of day to fly from Orlando to San Jose and back

Pretty subjective question...Are you a morning person? Do you favor any airlines? Will you have checked bags?

Westbound travel is easier than eastbound since the time change won't impact you as much. i.e., 6 hours of flying west will only "cost" you 3 hours vs. 9 hours east.

That being said, we generally try to fly east as early as possible. 7am west coast departures arrives 4-5pm local east coast.

Traveling westbound, we tend to book mid-morning to noon east coast departure for mid-afternoon west coast arrival.

You won't get non-stop MCO to SJC. AA stops at DFW, UA in DEN and SWA may have two stops (one in Tx and prob another in Vegas).

In general, it is also better to fly earlier in the day because any delays that may occur tend to compound and impact later flights.

Have to fly delta sens we are using frequent flyer miles

I took another look at the flights and I am thinking leaving at 8:10am and arriving at 7:39 pm

leaving at 6:29am and arriving 10:23pm

what do u all think?
