Mandy (me), Paul (hubby) & Becky (DD16)

Saturday 2nd January '10 ~ High 57F ~ Sunny with a bitterly cold wind

Finally some of the parks were opening at a normal time, so we chose Epcot as Becky wanted to go to the shop in Japan

During our first week, whenever we bought a counter service breakfast, attached to the receipt was a coupon for 20% off which was valid in the main stores in the parks, between 9am & noon, and was valid till 3rd Jan, so we decided that we would use these coupons today in MouseGear

So after riding Test Track (which was blooming freezing on the outside loop), we got some breakfast in the Land, and rode Journey Into Imagination, we then split up and went off on a shopping spree. Becky & Paul went off to buy me some birthday presents for later in the week, and I went to buy some pressies for my friends and for the Secret Exchanges

When we met up, I had saved about $30 and Paul had saved around $50 with the vouchers ~ bargain !!! We then headed towards World Showcase, which was empty and Becky went into the Japan shop

We left Epcot and went back to the Pop, and although it was only 57F, there was a little sun trap by the Computer Pool and it was surprisingly warm enough to sit out. We sat out for a couple of hours and I sorted out some washing too

After chilling for a while, we drove to DownTown Disney as Paul wanted to go to the surf shop at Pleasure Island. I bought him a Fox hoody for his birthday and Bek bought a vest top and shell necklace

After popping into the shops at the Marketplace we were all really hungry, so we called into T-Rex to see how long the wait would be for a table, but they said we could be seated straight away ~ result !! We started with some onion rings to share, I had the Lasagne and Paul & Bek had the Rotisserie Chicken, which once again was delish !

After dinner we went back to our room, and we received a text from Kerry to say that they had landed :yay: An hour later she rang to say that they were in Block 7 (near the Computer Pool too), so we popped over to say hello

After a chat, Kerry and Bex's family went off to get dinner, so we caught the Magic Kingdom bus and took the monorail over to the Contemporary for a couple of cocktails in the Outer Rim

Paul had a couple of Bahama Mamas annd I had a couple of Pommegranate Splash's (Mmm). We then called into the Tambu Lounge for a final drink. While we were there, Paul went outside to take some photos of Wishes that were going off at the Magic Kingdom and headed back to the Pop via the monorail and bus

You do look cold in the Test Track pic. And I could be mistaken but isn't that shot taken before you actually go outside :lmao:

Lovely day and great pictures of Epcot Mandy, I'm guessing they we're taken with Paul's new DSLR?
