I'd love to hear about your favorite GF Disney foods. I have had a lot of good GF meals in Disney and I'm looking forward to more. I have to admit that my favorite was fried chicken at 50s Prime Time. I almost never eat any fast food, but I had to try the chicken as I haven't had fried chicken in over 5 years. It was really good.

I'm looking forward to your responses! Thanks))

I have lots of other allergies besides GF so pretty much everything I eat has to be modified someway. At Ohanas, there was nothing on the regular menu I could eat. Chef Brandon ended up made making me GF ginger-teriyaki chicken, beef, and broccoli with a extra scoop of the sauce on the rice. It was absolutely wonderful.

One of my favorite meals is the make-your-own-pasta bowl at POR. They have GF noodles and a separate cooking area in the back. They also carry tofutti ice cream.

ok going off of GF specially made food, and not naturally GF food, the mickey waffles at kouzzina. i was able to get them to modify the dish with GF waffle's and it comes with whipped mascarpone cheese, honey, and chopped pecans with chicken sausage. the waffles there were cooked to perfection and it was a nice change to the typical maple syrup/butter combo.

i also have to say i am a huge fan of the chicken tenders they serve at CHH.

DD says her favorite GF meal was the fish and chips and onion rings she had at Raglan Road.

Her favorite meal overall was in Germany, but that includes the sausages and the fish the chef brought out for her.

Answering for my celiac DH, who will say that the 2nd best food he's ever eaten in his life, before or after celiac, gluten or gluten free, are the breakfast potatos at 'OHana. :) I believe they're naturally gf and not modified, but they ARE gf, and I agree-they are awesome!!!

I have to agree with the 50's PT fried chicken!

But the macadamia nut pancakes at Kona are a very close second :)

I really liked the shepherd's pie and onion rings at Raglan Road.

The steak breakfast in Cinderellas Royal Table was also much better than I had been lead to expect.

The chicken and "dumplings" at Primetime cafe was pretty good too.

Dd said her favorite entree was the shrimp with teriyaki sauce from O'hanas , and dessert was the flourless chocolate lava cake also from O'hanas.

Chefs de france- the beef dish! MMM

Prime Time Diner- Meatloaf YUM!

Liberty Tavern- they make their my very own rolls and gravy YUM YUM YUM

wait wait wait...

FRIED CHICKEN AT PRIME TIME??

GLUTEN FREE??

Ok I'm going back sooner then I thought.

DH said the GF fried chicken at 50"s prime time and DS loved the fresh clam chowder at Citros and Mickey waffles at Crystal Palace.

The best meals I had were at Flying Fish (the potato crusted fish), Biergarten ( chef Jerry was awesome in hooking me up with dishes and take always), and San Angel Inn (tostadas de Tinga, carne asada and an avocado margarita).

Dinner at California Grill! I had gluten free, melt in your mouth steak with potatoes that was incredible. Dessert was a chocolate creme brulee that was heavenly! Another gluten free favorite was the Kilauea Torte at Ohana and Kona. I may have licked my plate clean after that one lol!:thumbsup2

Others were taken. My 10 year old DD said the Cheeseburgers. I tried the burgers at a couple places around the parks and could not tell a difference in the Bun. That is what really makes a good GF burger, the bun. I do not like many GF buns, but the ones at Disney were awesome!!! Sometimes it is the simple pleasures that make all the difference.

Many people rave about the GF fried chicken at 50's Prime Time. I've heard though that it can take up to an hour to get the chicken. Has anyone had luck with calling ahead to order it so it won't take so long? If so, how far in advance did you call? Who did you speak to? The chef? Is there a direct number to call? We're leaving in 2 weeks & I promised my GF friend that she could have fried chicken. Help!

It's been 4 years, so your mileage may vary, but my ds13 still talks about the homemade gluten/peanut/tree nut free donuts that the chef made for him at tusker house. For LUNCH.
Also, wherever Chef TJ is cooking now, which I THINK is 1900 Park F., you will get treated like royalty. he was at ohana 4 years ago, and ds had some awesome food.
He also got a great steak and potatoes meal at Le Cellier.

The cornbread at hoop de do! I've heard great things about this at whispering canyon too, but I have never eaten there myself.
