The best and worst of Stephen King movies

Best:
1. Although not technically a movie, it would be "The Stand" for me. Great opening sequence and use of music. Well cast. Not a big fan of the ending, but the entire mini series was entertaining.

2. "It". Another well cast miniseries with parallels to "Stand by Me" in my opinion.

Worst:
1. Silver Bullet. Although one of the few Steven King books I've read, but the movie just didn't hold my interest.

i've only seen the green mile and shawshank redemption and they were great! and i'll be adding secret window to my list on friday hopefully...

Gotta go with "The Green Mile" as the best with honorable mentions to both "Shawshank Redemption" and "The Dark Half".

Worst was definitely "Tommyknockers". "It" really bugged me because it only slightly resembled an excellent novel.

ITA! The Stand is one of my favorites.

Hey, what about Salem's Lot? Cheesy by today's standards, but what a scary movie when it came out! That book still wigs me out to this day!

I thought Christopher Walken was perfect in the Dead Zone. Misery was pretty good adaptation too. :)

I will agree with most of these. The Green Mile and The Stand at the top of the list. Also love Stand by Me, Carrie and the Shining.

I like It, until the end, which I hated. And Silver Bullet, YUCK!!!

The BEST - Jack Nicholson in The Shining (Heeeere's Johnny!)
The Worst - The Tommyknockers

I liked Stand By Me & Shawshank- a very, very good movie!

I am not sure about worst....I haven't seen a lot of his movies.

BUT.....Carrie is one of my favorite movies and I still get scared to death at the end......Also Salems lot was my first book I read of his and I could only read it in the daytime.....Cujo was a scarey movie too....Also Christine as a book and the movie was no wheres as frightening
