2. All Pirates of the Caribean Movies

3.All Star Trek Movies

4.Airplane

5. Oceans 11 Oceans 12 and Oceans 13

6. Unstopable

Worst Movies

1. Waterworld

2. The South Park Movie

3. Batman and Robin

4. Dead Man Walking

5.Scary Movie 3

I am a huge Star Trek fan but can't say I'd put ALL of them on the best list. A couple were pretty hokey.

As for worst, I routinely refer to Transformers as 2 hours of my life I'll never get back.

My personal favorites?

Wizard of Oz
Mary Poppins
Sound of Music
Fiddler on the Roof
All of the Harry Potter movies (some better than others but all are up there)
I'm sure there are others but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

Best, "It's a Wonderful Life". No question.

Worst, the list is long - haha. But I would say any of the Austin Powers movies (yuck!) or a movie I just watched yesterday called "The Traveler" with Val Kilmer. I mistakenly thought he was worth watching in anything - I was very WRONG!

I'm looking forward to everyone else's lists!

The best

1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Sixteen Candles
3. Goodfellas
4. Old School
5. Christmas Vacation

the worst
1. The Ice Pirates

Best - Tossup between The Gods Must Be Crazy and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

Worst - Rocketship XM

Was that the police station murder movie with Kilmer? That was pretty bad. A movie that was like nails on a chalkboard for me was what about bob. Hated that movie for some reason. Dh has taken to renting obscure titles from redbox - a few that were so bad we never finished them. I try not to remember the names of them all, but most seem to star wwe personalities. I have forbidden dh to rent without approval :rotfl:

Best:

Original Trilogy Star Wars- Love these the rest are okay

Casablanca- Get's better everytime I see it.

Auntie Mame- With Rosalind Russell

Worst:

Failure to Launch- Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Maconahey. Romantic comedies have gone downhill. Seriously I've seen some bad ones the last couple years.

Pirates 3- Not only did I want my money back. I wanted the hours back that I had wasted on that one. I own the first two and pretend that this one does not exist.:wizard:

Worst is easy.....Beloved. Hands down, by far. Awful.

Also very bad.......Happy Feet. Soooooooooooooo long and boring, followed closely by Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Best........

1. Enchanted. (I saw it 3 times in the theatre. I never do that)

2. Return to Me (loooooooooooove this movie)

3. The Help

4. Mary Poppins

5. Pirates of the Carribbean (the first one)

6. Shawshank Redemption

7. Field of Dreams

best: i love enchanted!!!
sweeney todd (the one with johnny depp)

worst: sex and the city 2
just saw it last night for the first time and still and awestruck at the awefullness! it was like they werent even the same characters they were playing in the tv show

I love too many to pick the best. That would be like a parent picking their favorite kid. But worst is easy: Avatar and Titantic. Both visuallly stunning but too long, boring and predictable.

Best - Field of Dreams, Philadelphia Story, Original 3 SW movies
Worst - Bridges of Madison Co., English Patient

Titantic. Both visuallly stunning but too long, boring and predictable.
You mean you knew the ship would sink?

Sorry, I loved Titanic. Just caught the last part of it on TV on Sunday and watched it just because it was on (even though I own it). That's a movie I can watch over and over in whole or in part, which is really part of my definition of a great movie.

I've seen plenty of movies that I enjoyed but have no burning desire to watch them again. The great ones are the ones I've seen 5 or 10 or 50 times and never tire of.

Best: I guess best is different that favorite, because I don't think Grease would count as the best...

Ok some of the best ones are Forrest Gump, Brokeback Mountain, Say Anything and Almost Famous.

The worst move I have ever seen in the theater was Eyes Wide Shut - that Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman craze fest.

I have many favorite movies, but my all time favorite is The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I also hate a lot of movies, but the first one that comes to mind is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. So much wrong with that movie.

Yup, that's the one! Please avoid it if you can! I agree about letting the man in your life to to the redbox without approval - nothing good can come of it :rotfl:

My favourite schlocky movie is Dracula and Billy the Kid. (Billy the Kid and Dracula?) Saw it on the late, late show years ago. Love the special effects, clearly very low budget--Dracula seems to "pop" in and out of the frame!
