Chapter Four: 100 Minutes

Frankly, it was very crowded in there. Anxiety was elbowing sadness and fear kept staring at excitement so excitement was whining the whole time.

Haha. THat is great. So did you get the bunk bed? Close to the elevator?

Glad to see you back. Yours was the first trip report I read on DIS. My emotions are taking a roller coaster ride reading this (or is a ToT ride). Sorry for your loss, I hope the rest is all good news and fun for your family.

P.S. We will be at WL for the 1st time next week!!! I can't believe it is almost time to go!!!!

Where's the rest? Anyway, glad to see you're back. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last May and the check in attendant was great. She upgraded us to a Magic Kingdom view. We could see the fireworks from the balcony.

Indeed, if Heaven doesn’t have Tonga Toast, I don’t wanna go.



So good is the Tonga Toast that if I had to choose between Alabama ever scoring another offensive touchdown or having only one more bite of Tonga Toast, I’d probably choose the Toast.

Firstly, I nodded along with you. Of course. Of course. And why wouldn't you? Everyone likes toast.

That was because I am a plagerizer.

Secondly, I quietly shrieked, "Holy HECK!(much stronger word) This chapter was ripping!(less Canadian slang). It rocked me like Space Mountain. But... in a good way."

That was because I am foul-mouthed and hackneyed and, because of not wanting to wake the kitten, considerate.

Great new chapter ZZUB. But, what do I know? Also... I liked the car,too. But what do I know? AGAIN. I'm just an 'ol miss priss, from Canada, with a filthy van and mouth. It sort of makes me real mad.

BTW, former Maryland Governor Schaefer ALSO thinks I'm a plagerizer.

On our first trip when we discovered the "wonders" of on-site due to the DisBoards we fell in with the WL. We got upgraded to a courtyard bear faced room. Hope your stay was as magical as ours was.

If you’ve never had Tonga Toast, never experienced the gastronomic pleasure that exists for one brief period each day, then you’re not properly equipped to understand why people fight in wars to defend our way of life. Tonga Toast. A combination of bananas, cinnamon, bread and other stuff so fantastic you think you died and are banqueting in the halls of Heaven.

True dat, Z. It is REALLY good.

The drive is roughly 100 minutes (if nothing else demonstrates my nerdiness, the fact that I know it’s 100 minutes as opposed to 90 should underline the point).

Does that mean that it's nerdy for me to set my stopwatch when I enter the stand-by line? To see if the wait is ACTUALLY 20 minutes or more like 17? Or that I know that the entrance of Disney World is exactly 369 miles from my house? I've got more...

This was our car for the week. I rented a midsize and had my choice and picked this because it looked nothing like a white Chevy Malibu.

You are correct. It looks NOTHING like a Chevy Malibu. But I give you props because it's shiny black.

I remembered who I was and where I was going. By the time we exited the Turnpike and hopped onto Osceola Parkway, there was palpable anticipation in our car. Like normal again. We were going to Disney World.

That's why we all keep coming back, isn't it? Because whether it's fear and anxiety over the scare you had experienced the night before, or whether it's just the stress of our everyday lives - going to Disney World brings us joy. It gives us a reason to smile. And enjoy our vacation, our family and our blessings.

Thanks for another great installment. I'm excited that you've only just checked in. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest!
