Here's my first trip report! Don't know if this will fit on one post. If not, I'll make a Part 2.

Party consisted of: Me, DH and DS4
Dates: 10/25-11/1/06
Resort: Pop Century 50's bldg room 1139
DDP: Yes

DH left on 10/21 for CBR to attend an annual business conference. He was there until 10/25.

Wednesday, the 25th arrives. After I get ready, I get the camcorder to record our DS4's reaction to going to Disney. I go into his room to get him up and wouldn't you know it, the camcorder was only getting audio and no video :furious:. Since my son wasn't getting up, I decided to go into my bedroom to figure out what is wrong with the camcorder and then try again. Well, Joey (DS) comes into my room cranky and furious that I woke him up <sigh>. I tell him he's not going to school and we are not picking up Daddy from the airport. We are going to fly down to meet up with Daddy and go to Disney World! You would assume that he would instantly wake up! Nope! He cried and said, "I wanna go back to sleep!" :sad2: I think it started to sink in as he was slowly waking up.

Well, I finally got the camcorder working and it was set up in time for his 7:30 am call from The Mouse (Disney Enchanted Call)! The call comes in and I put the phone on speaker so I can record everything. Joey is standing there listening and focusing on what Mickey Mouse is saying. Suddenly, I see a smile start to form on his face and he gets excited when Mickey says, "I'll see you real soon!" He looks up at me and asked if we can do it again, then starts to jump up and down asking again. I told him we can't. It was a special call from Mickey Mouse. Ok, so the wake up part didn't go as I had hoped, but the Disney Enchanted Call did <phew!>

Flight from Islip, NY to MCO was no problem and we got there a few minutes early. We checked in at the DME desk and proceded to board the bus (what a hike from the SouthWest terminal!). Pop Century was the first stop <Yeah!>. It worked out perfectly, too. I was back & forth on the cell with my DH so we could meet up. He just got done checking us in when our bus pulled up. We got settled in the room and found a small dog towel animal waiting for us in the window. The room was fine and we had no problems. After getting settled in, we went and had lunch at Everything Pop then headed to Downtown Disney via bus transportation.

We walked around Downtown for a bit. Joey loved the toy store (of course) and the Lego area as well. We had dinner reservations at Planet Hollywood for 6:10. The food was good and it was very crowded. I would say it was a good place to eat, but without a young child. The music volume was too loud for Joey and it bothered his ears. However, he did manage to fall asleep on the booth seat :confused3.

10/26 & 10/27: Epcot Day 1, Day 2 was a 1/2 a day
Boy has it changed since 1993! I actually forgot my way around in Future World. We started with The Land first and got a FP for Soarin. While waiting for our time window we decided to do the boat ride. I have to admit, the previous times I went on it, it was very boring for me. However, I acatually enjoyed it this time around and the new audio track was fine. Joey loved seeing the food growing down as well as the size of them. And we all especially loved the pumpkins that were being grown in the shape of Mickey Heads (we got a kick out of the names for the small ones - mouseketeers). The ride comes to an end and the CM tells all of us to wait and not get out yet. We're wondering what was going on. Well, the whole boat were recipients of Disney's YOAMD! We all received Dream FPs :woohoo:! We immediately use our Dream FP for Soarin. We all loved it! Then we head to get drinks and make our "pit stop" before riding Soarin again.

After The Land, we head over to Energy to see if we can do it. Well, that was a bust for the day. The next show was scheduled to start in 12 minutes and was 45 mintues long. Forget that idea, our lunch ADR for Coral Reef was scheduled at 1. Energy would have to wait until tomorrow. Coral Reef was really nice and relaxing. We didn't have a table at the tank, but that was ok. We still enjoyed our meal and our son actually liked the chicken pizza. Joey absolutely loved seeing the huge turtle that passed by a few times!

Lunch is over and we head out to do more of Future World. We tried to do The Living Seas, but the Clam mobile ride wasn't working (but it was on our second day) and we did a quick run through of the first floor. Never got to do the second floor though. We did catch Turtle Talk with Crush on the second day and Joey loved that!

Next we did Journey into Imagination. I was disappointed with it. Disney completely changed it! I miss Dream Finder and I liked it when it was two floors. Nothing is there that I remember except Figment. It's too industrial looking now and not the fun and bright place I remembered it to be. After Imagination, we hit HIStA. Joey got his first Magical Certificate by becoming a Jr. Professor!

After Imagination, we head over to WSC to the left. We had ressies at Mexico, which we loved. After dinner, we take the boat ride there then head out to catch as much of WSC that we can before the fireworks. We did get a good place to watch and I video taped it.

Our second day in Epcot was just catching what we missed the first day and doing the rest of WSC. We left early to get back to the resort for our meeting with Enterprise for a car rental pick up then headed to Medieval Times for dinner. Our son loved it so much. We couldn't get over how into the show he was. Joey was there cheering on our yellow knight and waving his flag.

10/28 continued in next post. I'm back to work and am going to lunch in a few minutes, so I gotta close this one for now.

sounds like a fantastic trip so far. I love Soarin too and can hardly wait to do it again.....I too liked The Land the last few visits .....I think it came with our maturity. But enjoy seeing the upside down plants growing with air......
Thanks so much again for your report

Thanks! I just wish we could have stayed another week :) There were a few things that I wanted to do, but just didn't have the time.

That is the WDW magic, they want you to leave, wanting more. If you want I can merge your reports together, so they stay in one link.
