Can someone tell me if Wine Country Trattoria would be considered a romantic restaurant? Never been.​

It is nice but I wouldn't call it romantic. It's like a really nice Olive Garden. There is a nice romantic (and pricey) restaurant at the Grand Californian. Guy Feuretti had his Christmas special there.

Just so you all know during my trip planning process I'm going to have two separate itineraries. I'm not 100 % positive that my Brother and his family are going to make it, and if that's the case we won't be able to do half the things we'd like to, so there will have to be some rearrangements. So when planning I'll have Plan A. ( Which includes my Brother) and Plan B. (Which does not.)

I hope your brother can join you as you said you needed some bro time. If not I'm sure you'll have a blast with your family.

I think my DS is going to take after his father in the big head department. At his last appointment he was in the 25th percentile for weight 20th for height at 80th for head.

I loved that hat on her....when I looked at that picture the other day it put a big smile on my face.

I loved the picture of the little guy with Stitch! As for hotels/motels I like the Park Vue Inn but the one you chose looks much swankier!

Thanks, I think it's a HYATT of "motels" I actually LOVED the place. Wish more then anything I could stay at Grand Californian, but don't think that will ever happen. I was able to stay at the DL hotel a long time ago when I worked for the airlines. It cost 1/2 price.

I know this is TOTALLY off Topic, but the best thing happened yesterday!!

Jayden took his first steps!!



Today he was trying so hard to stand up on his own and to walk to me. The most he was able to do was 4 steps. He is so happy and proud of himself when he does it.

These milestones are SOOOO bittersweet. ​

Ahhhhhh, those are exciting times & a little sad at the same time!! Way to go Jayden!!

Time is just flying by..... I love seeing how excited and proud of he is of himself everytime he takes a step or two. But I want my baby to be a baby for as long as possible. I want a 3rd but my husband is on the fence about it. So this might be the last time I can experience these "little" firsts with my kids.

It will be here sooner than you think. A good sense of humor, a lot of love, and firm understanding that at this stage of the game we are the parent not the friend goes along way.

My hubby and I still say every stage your kids are in is the 'best stage'. Each has joys and challenges. Just wait till they are driving

I agree..... I say the same thing too... There's never been a stage in either of my kids lives that I haven't enjoyed. As far as driving. I'm terrified. It will be my husbands job to teach them. I'm the kind of person that always has to be driving. I don't care how great of a driver you are, I have panic attacks whenever someone else drives.

I'm a little saddend today. Husband found out that he's taking a huge paycut in January, so now I have to figure out exactly how we're going to pay for our trip. I know that NO matter what we will make it to DLR for our anniversary. I'm hoping our trip will stay as planned, but it might need to be cut short to the point where we just visit DISNEY and cut out the other things we wanted to do in southern California. I'll be sure to keep you updated.
