Love it! I may have to print this out and hang it on my computer at work. 4 10-hour days this week :-/ But then Mickey will probably distract from me checking prescriptions, so that's *probably* not a good idea.

3 Days until we leave.

I'm so excited. I'm even mostly packed!

Our plans have changed a bit since we first booked so I wanted to give the update. Let me know if I have any holes in our plan!

5/10 - 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney Vero Beach. We celebrate my in-laws 65th wedding anniversary with a group of 9 people. (It would have been 10 but Taylor DD19 won't join us until after she gets her first class under her belt). We have dinner reservations at Sonya's on the 12th. I ordered the cake to be delivered then. On Saturday morning, we have breakfast with Goofy booked. I cannot believe we will NOT be there for the Pirates party. OH - I hope Jon remembers the 13th is Mothers Day. I know I gave him the number to the Vero spa back in December!

5/14 - 1 Bedroom Villa at Old Key West. That evening, we booked the Pirates and Pals voyage to watch Wishes from the lake in front of the Magic Kingdom (this was supposed to be a secret but I slipped - Mackenzie DD10 still doesn't know though)

5/16 - Taylor joins us at Disney!

5/18 - We board and meet you fine people.

5/23 - Kidani Village for the "extra" day. I have the EPCOT Illuminations cruise booked for this evening but I'm not sure if we'll do it. Then on the 24th before we fly home, I booked the 1900 at Floridian lunch. Taylor loves Alice in Wonderland (even before the Tim Burton version) so it should be great for her.

Am I missing anything? "MostlyMellessMay" here at work. My brain is already on vacation.

Sounds like a lot of fun and a great 2 weeks!! We're at Kidani after the cruise too... I sent you back my contact info so gimme a shout and maybe we can meet up for one last hurrah before you head home!

Sooooooooo need a vacation. My flight to chicago was delayed an hour and when we finally started to board United somehow cancelled my reservations so a big red light flashed and i had to sit and stress out for 25 min while they fixed it, then i finally get to the hotel and my idiot roomate deadbolts the door and goes to sleep so i cant get in my room no matter how hard i pound on the door.

so i'm in a temp room for the night and i'm going to beat him tomorrow. Great way to start a training class! AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!

DVC Jen: I just saw your post about love bugs. I completely forgot about those things and that May is prime time for them! ICK! The first time we saw them was late Sept/early Oct. We were at Coronado Springs, and I looked them up on Wikipedia on my phone... just to find a picture of the same bench we were sitting on as an example of how bad they infest the area!

I hope they're not too bad for our trip!

Has anyone taken a look at the weather so far since we're 10 days out?? I went on accuweather and it looks like rain on the 18th in Port Canaveral...I'm hoping for sunny skies in Key West the next day!! keeping our fingers crossed!

We've gone to Disney World 3 times in May, (4 after the cruise) and they have never been that bad. We've stayed at CSR everytime we go. Hope this helps.

Crossing my fingers for sunny weather for the trip. We've had a ton of rain and below average temps here in Chicagoland. I'm ready for sun and warmth!

I hope so too. I have heard about people sailing around the same time as us last year having the sail away party cancelled and not being allowed on the verandahs until they were at sea. It would be SUCH a bummer. But hey - if it happens it happens. Nothing we can do about it. An inside sail away is better than no sail away.

I wouldn't put much faith into a weather forecast that far out. So many things can change. Also it rains a little almost every afternoon that time of the year so even if it does stay in the forecast it may only be a brief passing shower. Crossing fingers here.

So, is there going to be a place we check to make certain no cabins have changed? I know sometimes people will upgrade at port - should we have a sheet somewhere (on someones door) that people can indicate any potential changes?

Promenade Lounge at 3pm. Just a short meet and greet, and to make any updates with regards to room changes.

We're also going to meet up in the Terminal prior to boarding. I'm the mobile meeting point: I'll have on a YELLOW shirt saying "Why is all the rum gone?" and a very huge (and I do mean HUGE) green Mad Hatter hat. Not sure when I'll be arriving; depends on how fast I can get my family up and out of the hotel.

Oh no! I wouldn't go out after that either! At least down there the water's clear(er)... if you've ever been to Myrtle Beach (AKA the Dirty Myrtle) you'd understand why I don't go in the ocean more than up to my knees.
