Creepy! If you did come in that costume though, I wonder how long it would take for random people to start lining up for photo ops?

I'm in at 12:30 ... and I have a question for you experienced cruisers. My in-laws are awaiting their passports, so I haven't been able to pick a check-in time for them yet. Since my reservation is linked to theirs, can they just use my boarding time? Also, we'll be driving and they'll be flying in from PA and using Magical Express... so will I have to wait for my whole party to be accounted for before we board?

A linked reservation has more to do with dining time than with boarding, so you shouldn't have to wait for them to arrive at the terminal if your boarding number is called. If you board the ship before they arrive, you can make arrangements to meet somewhere (or they can call you as the "at sea" phone rates won't be in effect while in port.)

That said, if they arrive prior to your number being called just include them in your party as you board. We did this last year and it was not a problem: we had boarding numbers 4 and 8, so we all boarded when 4 was called.

Also, once boarding begins it goes very quickly, so even separated boarding numbers will be on board within a relatively short time. Cruise ships like to get everyone boarded as quickly as possible, but in an orderly manner, so they can depart on time.

Thanks, Banana Man! ;)

You're quite welcome!

You've now forced me to reveal what I'll be wearing at the port.

Its a bright yellow t-shirt that says "Why is the Rum gone?"

It's not a banana, but it is something I can wear during the cruise and afterward without any regrets.

I'm still thinking of the distinctive hat and I've an idea. Its not pink, but certainly easy to spot.

Haha! Love it! I found you a hat...

if you get it, I'll wear it! :cool1:

But I also expect to be compensated with a complimentary adult beverage after we get on the ship! After everyone in the terminal has stared, giggled, or outright laughed at me, I'm going to need something to revitalize me!

:lmao:

You're ON. I suggest we meet on the ship at the Signals BAR on desk 9 before the sail away party for those of us cannot meet at the terminal. I love a fruity drink in my hand when pushing off. The girls make it a point to have a mickey bar.:sail::mickeybar:drinking1

I think the plan right now is 3pm at the promenade lounge

We have our DIS Meet at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge prior to the Lifeboat Drill, but those who want could gather for the Sailaway Party, too. I always enjoy a drink as we leave port.

we havent gotten our passports yet, for that matter havent gotten our flights yet, either. i just put a bs number in so i can check in online so i can get a time. you can always change your info.

From what i read magical express pretty much trumps arrival time anyways.

And, not to forget, that for those who arrive at the terminal before boarding begins and want to, we will try to gather together for an early set of introductions.

I'm not real certain what the rally point will be, but it involves bananas: A giant banana or banana hat, or everyone wears a bunch of bananas (comes in handy while waiting for lunch), or something like that.
