Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is the last non-Vacation Club resort that has been built as a part of Walt Disney World and it's a beauty. It recently underwent a name change and is now officially known as Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House.
The entrance is impressive and the 5 story lobby is just amazing. But if you walk to the back of the lobby and down a flight of stairs, you exit onto a viewing area where you can see some of the animals that surround the resort.
I've got to confess that I always linger a bit in the lobby when the purple van is delivering to Jambo House. And if I can spare 5 minutes, I go down the stairs outside to see what animals are out.
And when I head back to the lobby, this is what I see. Isn't it amazing? And the is the BACK door to Jambo House. To get a sense of the scale, you can see a lady who has just walked through the door at the bottom right,
When I was a kid growing up my mom had a small sign on the back door to our house that said "back door guests are best." Maybe Disney should put a sign up like that at Jambo House!
