So we got in last evening around 5PM and checked in at Grand Californian DVC (We will post a write up a report on the DVC board later)...

Ate at Napa Rose last night (food was awesome)and finished the evening (morning?) at the Uva bar at Downtown Disney. They should not allow people (Rick) to drink at a bar that is within 30 feet of a vinylmation store. We woke up this morning with 14 new vinyl friends! :rotfl: The Bartender had mentioned that his son was a big Woddy fan and all Rick needs is a quest :rotfl2:

Needless to say the bartender went home with a gift for his Son!

This morning it was off to Magic Kindom (they do it so-o-o-o-o much better here, makes you wonder why they did not just build DW the same way... sigh)
I have noticed that there are many more CM's here (maybe twice as many) as compared to DW and of course the attention to detail in all of the attractions is just light years in front of DW (but we have Epcot).

I think we could ride the Haunted Mansion (converted to Nightmare Before Christmas) all day long! It gets better every year.

Disney has all of the local news in MK today doing live shots for the Halloween offerings (got to love mickey head beignets in New Orleans Square).

Nice to see so many of our DIS friends running around here :wizard:

We have Dinner planned at Blue Bayou and then back to the outdoor Uva bar around 8... just look for a pile of vinylmation boxes :confused3

More to follow....

I love Disneyland Park, too! :)

The one thing strange that I noticed in DLR as compared to WDW is that many of the characters don't have handlers. Instead, it was quite common for us to see Snow White forming a line of guests to meet her. That was a little odd.

We rode Haunted Manision 5 more times and once (that is enough) on Raiders of the Lost Ark (better than a deep tissue massage)...

Dinner at Blue Bayou was great as always and we lingered for the Halloween Party (they are not as agressive here in terms of clearing the park)

Side note... we upgarded to the premier pass and I got to tell you I think it has paid for itself in discounts already :thumbsup2 It is 20% off of almost everything...

We went back to the pool and soaked in the hottub with a bunch of new friends (I think 3 bottles of wine were passed around) and ran into a friend from New Orleans in downtown Disney . We closed the night (morning) out with her at the Uva bar and since she was a little worse for wear she stayed over on the sleeper sofa :rotfl:

Did you know that Disney makes Vinylmation pins as well (there are 28 of them on the dresser this morning) I actually think the D-Street is staying open late to take advantage of Rick's shopping habits! We are going to have to dispose of some of these during the cruises (fish extender gifts anyone?)

We are off to find Bloody Marys and meet up with Nancy and her young ladies (Yellow Mickey Ponchos) to see if her temporary tatto (applied at DISpalozza) is still in place! :yay: Should see SF Don today as well....

Today is Gay Days in Magic Kingdom, we will be easy to find (just look for us wearing red shirts) :rotfl2: Actually we will both be wearing about 50 pounds of beads to share with old and new friends..

Always amazes me at how laid back everyone is out here (must be in the water or something) at any rate having a great time and will update later

I wonder if the bank will finance vinylmation acquisitions????? :lmao:

I should have asked on here if there were going to be people around this week. I was at Disneyland and DCA Thursay and Friday by myself. Left the kids and hubby at home because I was doing a conference at the Anaheim convention center. Of course I took advantage of it' s proximity to the DLR and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Haven't had a chance to have a kidless trip in years. I'm rejuvinated. Would have loved to met up with people.

What a day! By total coincidence, we met up with SFBayDon, who was right behind us on the Nemo Submarines. Then, we were notified that we had a noon reservation at Club 33! Sadly, we didn't get to any of the meets I'd planned to attend or the rides we wanted to see. We're resting in the hotel for a bit before returning.

Great trip reports so far! Hope y'all have fun tonight!

:wizard:

We all had a good time seeing you today! It was nice to catch up since the last time Rick touched..... :headache: oh - never mind... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Anyway, we all had fun and I'm glad your vacation has been a success - including the Bag of Doom! :thumbsup2

See you in December!!!
