Ill start by saying I'm going to mix things up and keep my trip report to one big thread, when I look at the TR board I just see my own name over and over :O so I'll keep it all to this thread now so make sure you subscribe if you wanna keep up with our travels :)

Pre Trip report.

I can't believe we are only a few days away from being in Disney! In 2 days we will be driving to Sy's parents house to stay overnight before our flight Tuesday morning!

This trip came about last summer. We were sat in my mums house in the summer breeze, my mind was drifting to the place it always does... Florida! So I was surfing the Internet looking at deals to Florida (which happens more often than I would care to admit), when I noticed travel city direct (travel company) had some really cheap fly drive deals, flying on a Tuesday or Sunday it was £415 each for flight and a hire car! Wow. The annual pass that I hadn't yet bought was already burning a hole in my pocket... Some sweet talking to Sy occurred and before you could say Mickey Mouse we'd booked! 2 weeks exactly to make the most of flying on the Tuesday - Tuesday but also due to Sy's annual leave, he needs a lot of our October trip of 25 nights!

We started off by saying we would stay 1 week onsite with our DVC points and 1 week offsite in a budget hotel. Mainly because we are always borrowing points in and nearly running out. At 7 months I managed to book a week in a standard view room at the Boardwalk. We then decided to spend 2 nights at Vero beach with our points, we went for the cheapest room so it hardly cost us anymore points ;) Which then left us with 5 nights at the beginning. Before we knew it we were booked into All Stars...

So that was us all set, 5 nights in All Stars, 2 nights vero and 7 nights Boardwalk. That's how it stayed for quite some time too... Until about 6 weeks ago when netflights had a huge sale on Disney rooms. We swapped from all stars to Coronado Springs, it was about £20 more a night, so £100 for the 5 nights. We thought it was worth that. So much for a cheap week offsite before 1 week DVC hehehe.

As always, featured in this trip report will be me Robyn, and my hubster Sy, I think you know us by now so I'll skip introductions. New on this trip will be a special appearance from our friend Ali who's flying out the same day as us (but a different flight) and coming to Vero beach with us in the middle! She's staying with friends for the first 5 nights and then in Pop after we return from Vero. She's usually a solo traveller but I twisted her arm to come the same time as us ;) she's slightly scared of the weather as she normally travels nearer to Easter, but I keep telling her that's the beauty of air con - if it gets too hot you go inside ;)

Here's our plan as it stands right now, but you know us by now, it's always up for interpretation

Fly home :( boohoo

Well I guess I better get on, 2 days to go and I've not packed a single thing! Oops!

Ttfn <3

Highs and lows

Well we have been home almost a week and I've not really found the enthusiasm to write this. Not because the trip was awful - far from it! But because while I was away my brother was taken ill and died the day we flew home :( we also got the news that my aunt's cancer is back and has spread and has now become terminal. Along with my other aunt who had the same news just before we went (admittedly I'm not as close to that one but still my only 2 aunts). Sy's Nan died shortly before we went away and her partner also died while we were away. So I'm sure you can understand why it's taken me till now to find the head space!

So tbh those are pretty much all the lows right there. A couple of other niggles but nothing I would call a low exactly.

Due to all the stuff going on back home we ended up cancelling a few of our adrs, including the beach club afternoon tea - I'm pretty gutted about that one tbh!

Another little low was understandably I was quite poorly while we were away, just stress related with everything going on. Meant I had to call it a day a few times on the trip.

We had a very meh meal at outback which was a shame. Food wasn't cooked to order and server was a bit rubbish. My chicken was so over cooked I couldn't cut it let alone chew it, but I didn't send it back as we were in a rush. Just won't go back there (other than to get a wallaby darned).

May the 4th weather was rubbish, it poured with rain all day and we froze, we were doing a dapper darlin event so we were all dressed up and freezing lol. But it meant TSM had just 10 mins wait and we rocked up for the Star Wars fireworks 5 mins before they started and got a great view, so every cloud has a silver lining!

Sy bought a DVC Magic band and it was damaged, it took a bit of hassle to get it sorted. They didn't have anymore in the blue so he had to go back over to AK on the last day to get it. Not really a low but a little niggle.

That's the low/niggles list. Now onto the highs.

There are so many!

Spending time with such lovely people, Vicki and Mark, Jackie, Carrie and Mark, Louis, Lea, Debbie and her family. Our American friends Lorraine, Liz and Nicole. Disney foodies Randy and Marranda. A special mention of course for Ali, we had such a great time hanging out together! Feel like I'm missing my right arm now we're home and at opposite ends of the country :(

Vero beach has gotta come pretty high in this list, I LOVED it there! It didn't even matter that they were doing loads of work around the resort. It was stunning. I really cannot wait to go back there. I'm even toying with trying to fit it in when we go in October.

The pirate dinner at vero was very cute too, sad to hear it might be stopping. Goofy and Donald in their pirate outfits posing for pics and having a dance off! What's not to love?

DVC Mother's Day brunch, it was really good! I went not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Though the queue to meet the incredibles was crazy, 45 minutes :O poor frozone had no queue at all. Food was yummy too! The brunch led onto another special moment of the trip. We were told we could take the floral centrepiece from our table but knowing it would die we found a mother to give them to and wished them a happy Mother's Day. I love spreading the joy. Later in the day I went to meet tigger and pooh and when I came out someone had tied a balloon to my scooter (it was a bad health day). It made me cry <3 proof that karma does exist.

We had the BEST meet and greet with the Ugly Sisters. We were periscoping the meet and they went crazy for it! We must have been with them 10 minutes or longer, they were fabulous!

Club villain. I so hope they extend this. I didn't eat anything cause there was nothing i could eat :( but it was still worth it. The Queen of Hearts was something special, she was horrified that I had a white rose in my hair hehehe. I didn't realise there would be a bit of a show as well, the singer and dancers were very good :)

Our first MK day we were chatting with some manager type CM's about what a great day we were having and they gave us some any use Fastpasses so we found some strangers and made their day by taking them on splash with us :)

Getting a dance with Pluto at Garden Grill. I told him he was my favourite and so he danced with me! It was so sweet <3

Being the last people out of MK one night! We had gone into chat with Louis who was working at guest services and when we came out everyone else had left. Never been the last out before so it was pretty special.

Coronado springs, it was a lovely resort I'd have no problem staying there again. We even got 2 towel animals!!! :O DVC never get them...

The Boardwalk, it's such a beautiful resort. Though I did miss staying at AKL, we went for a quick visit on our last day (as I didn't feel like going to a park after the news) and it really felt like going home. All the VIP's for the Invictus Games were staying at the Boardwalk so there was a real buzz around the place.

Getting a signed picture from David Doss! He's a Disney artist who was meeting at the art of Disney store in Epcot. We have a few of his pictures, we both love his style. So I met him and bought another picture to have signed for Sy.

Meeting Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh! It was the little character spot between Canada and the UK that they sometimes open up. There were others there but all that I'd seen before so I ran to rabbit. We dug up some pretend carrots together.

The last night we stopped by the front desk to find out if we could get a late check out. We got talking with the 2 people behind the desk (it was late and no one else around) and I told them about my brother being in hospital and going to die, chatting about his children etc. The next morning we had a message on our phone saying Mickey had left something at the front desk for my niece and nephew. They had left them a plush Mickey and Minnie. As I mentioned that morning he did die so I sobbed when they gave them to me. It was so touching, and not at all expected.

The last high has got to be that we have only 150 days till the next trip in October!

Sad to hear your news :(

Still a sounds like a good trip under the circumstances though.

We saw Inviticus VIPs at AKL and the GF while we were out there too

The day before

Well I've toyed with not doing a trip report for this trip, I've gone back and fourth about it since I came back really. It didn't feel right after what happened somehow, but then I thought what better way than to bring a bit of sunshine into a sad time than talking about our trip to WDW?

The day before

The day before was slightly more relaxed than usual in that Sy had taken the day off work. Usually we fly towards the end of the week with Sy working the day before we fly so I end up doing all the last min jobs that need doing (like last min packing, emptying the bins etc) but this time we were flying on a Tuesday as it was £50 each cheaper and after all, this trip was supposed to be a budget trip ;)

We were both up at 8am too excited to sleep. I even managed to have a shower and wash my hair (I never usually have time to wash my hair the day before, it's a long process lol). We finished the packing and I snapped a quick picture of all the luggage... Some of it was our overnight stuff for tonight and Sy's work laptop but the rest is ours :-/ seems a lot seeing as most of our clothes were already in Orlando with Carrie and Mark!!

We did the last few bits of cleaning up before leaving our house at 2:15 with Tink in tow. We were dropping her at the cattery on the way. She was not impressed with us! She told us off all the way there lol.

(The wind noise was from me holding the camera right in front of the vent)

After dropping Tink off we popped into see my mum as she's only round the corner. I take Tink quite a way from ours because the cattery came highly recommended and it's half a mile from my parents so mum can go in and see her for us while we are away.

We left mum's at 3:30 and made the journey round to Gatwick straight from there, we usually stop in at Sy's parents first but we wanted to just get rid of the cases first. I had a look online and I thought it said we could drop the bags off 24 hours before the flight but I was wrong, it was only from 5pm. And there was already a queue! Never seen it so busy, clearly the trick is to go later in the evening. Twilight took ages cause there was a problem with our seats. We had booked and paid for seat plus, which is basically buying an extra seat in economy so you can spread out a bit. We had been booked into seats but they hadn't blocked off the seat next to us so someone was sat in it. They did eventually move us to further back but because there was no manager there for twilight the girl couldn't permanently block off the extra seat with us, this was a bit annoying! She did give us fast track security for the next day though which was nice of her. We finally left the airport at 5:50. I gave virgin a call from the car to explain the situation and that we were going to have the same problem coming home and they were able to completely block off the extra seats, phew. The ground staff in gatwick aren't official virgin staff so there was only so much she could do.

Still smiling!

We made our way to Sy's parents house which is about 15 mins away on the country roads. At theirs we printed off the last few things we needed, things we had forgotten at ours. Sy's mum made dinner, we had roast chicken and veggies followed by fresh mango and mango sorbet, was yummy! We got an early night soon after finishing as we were having to be up earlier the next morning having been bumped from the later flight to the early one.

*not connected to this trip report but thought I'd share with you my current view while I'm writing this...

Pretty nice huh? It's currently my last day in Cyprus where I've been for the week with my friend Jane. I'll miss the pool and sunshine.

I am glad you decided to write your trip report! I can understand why you did debate about doing it. I am looking forward to following along!

Day 1, travel day

The alarm went off at 7am this morning, not that we actually got much sleep mind you - too excited! I mean does anyone ever get much sleep the night before flying to Florida?? We quickly showered and got dressed and by 8:10 we were leaving the house like excited little children.

Selfie in the car on the way, Sy's lovely dad was giving us a lift.

At the airport we had to quickly stop by the check in desk and then made our way through to premium security. It was nice to have and we were through quickly but tbh I'd never pay for it, but then ask me again when I'm in a queue for 45 mins and I might change my mind hehe ;)

First stop once through was to buy a boots meal deal for me in case I wouldn't eat on the plane (Sy got one too). We then went to find some breakfast, we settled on pret. I had a croissant, my usual go to breakfast; I'm not a huge breakfast eater. Sy had a hot sausage muffin which he said was really good. My croissant was still warm so it was extra yummy.

Breakfast of champions haha

Afterwards we went for a mooch round the shops, I'd been eyeing up a new bag in Ted Baker but sadly for me (and luckily for Sy's creditcard) they didn't have it. Boo! We then decided to go down and wait at the gate, we were actually the first there.

There was a little delay before they started boarding us, which meant we were a bit late taking off as well. We made up some time in the air though so it wasn't too bad.

Our flight was pretty jam packed. Virgin usually have 2 flights per day but because it was out of season and a Tuesday they had merged the flights into 1 (hence us getting bumped to the earlier flight). I was very pleased we booked the extra seat so we could have a little more space, there weren't many spare seats at all.

I passed the time on the flight watching a few films. I started with the Good Dinosaur followed by Sisters and finally The Intern. They were all ok films, I'm in no rush to watch any of them again soon though ;)

The food was pretty rubbish, worse than I've found it in a while. Sy and I both had the Somerset chicken. Dessert was a salted caramel gu pot which was yuk (I forgot to take pics - sorry!). Afternoon tea came later, the crisps were now LEMON flavoured. What is that about?? They were seriously RANK! I am not a fan of lemon at all. It's ok though, they give you a mint for after so I quickly popped that in my mouth... Only they decided one lemon flavoured thing wasn't enough and they added lemon to the mint too Grr that go spat out too Hehe luckily the chicken wrap was ok though ;) plus I had the boots meal deal to keep me going.

Before we knew it we were arriving in Orlando international airport, the time really seemed to 'fly' by ;) *thank you, I'm here all week* Hehe
We were about half way down the plane so there was a little wait at immigration, we quickly spotted Ali the other side of the glass waiting for her bag from the BA flight. We were arriving in Orlando around the same time so rather than Ali getting a taxi to Vicki's house (where she was staying for 5 nights) we said we would give her a lift.

Sy wasn't taken away due to his visa for once which was a nice change so it meant we were through and waiting for our bags in no time. Ali's bag arrived just as we got through immigration and ours were there about 10 minutes later, perfect timing! As we went through customs we were sent for a second bag screening, this as a first for me and Sy but Ali said it happens to her every time... I guess she looks dodgy hehehe

We went to get on the monorail over to the main terminal. Sy and Ali went up the escalator but I had to go in the lift. There was a monorail waiting as I arrived so I motioned to them from the opposite end of the platform to get on so they rode on one end while I was at the other. It reminded me of the time I came for a girly week with Jan when I arrived a day earlier, getting the monorail all on my own hehe.

We met up again the other end and made our way down to the car hire desk. There was a bit of a queue so we used the little kiosk to check in for the car. It took ages and then when it got to the end it timed out and told us to go to the desk! That was annoying. Luckily it didn't take long at the desk and we were soon on our way out yo choose a car. There actually wasn't many to choose from at all, we should have had a mid size SUV but we ended up with a people carrier, it was nice though and very comfy so can't complain too much.

Selfie in the car...

I put the satnav on and we were soon on our way to DISNEY!! Or more importantly to Coronado Springs where we would be staying for our first 5 nights. We've never stayed in a moderate before. Sy's only stayed deluxe but I stayed in all star sports last year on the trip with Jan.

I was pleasantly surprised by Coronado. I really loved it! We were the Cabana's section 9A, room 9273 which was a huge corner room. It was lush! I'd totally jump at staying there again. Ali was still with us as we decided we would come to see the hotel first. She liked it too :)

Of course we had to get some new purple magic bands, gotta complete the set (one in every colour hehe)

We unpacked a little bit, cause we had a fair amount of Ali's things we brought over for her (girl doesn't know how to travel light Hehe) so Ali could take them to Vicki's house, and we had things we needed to take over to Carrie's house later.

Afterwards we were all a bit starving so we decided just to get a counter service here at the hotel. Ali and I walked over while Sy drove the car (so we could take Ali right after). The restaurant was empty which was half good and half bad - good cause it was nice and quiet but bad because it turned out the food had been sat under heat for a loooooong time. Sy had the burger while Ali and I both got the chicken tenders. Sy and I just shared a drink but I noticed on the receipt we had been charged for 2 so when we'd finished I went up and mentioned it at the counter, the manager came out and refunded it to the room. I mentioned to him that they might want to throw the chicken tenders away as they weren't very nice now (I didn't actually eat much of mine as they were so hard they were giving me jaw ache haha), he refunded them as well! I didn't say it for that reason, I ate half of them when I could have just returned them and asked for fresh ones (I was being lazy and I was starving which is why I didn't), but he insisted on giving me the money back. How lovely <3

When we were all finished we hopped back into the car and made our way towards Vicki's house. Vicky lives in Windermere so we got to drive through the Magic Kingdom gates.

We arrived 15 mins later and stopped in for a quick chat, we couldn't stay long though as we were heading over to Carrie and Mark's house. We made plans to meet at my French cafe the next day though for a proper catch up. We then made our way over the Carrie's. I had told Carrie before that we might be minging from the flight as we weren't sure we would have time to shower first, she had put a note on the front door that said "if you're a minging, don't come a ringing" laughed so hard when we saw that hehehe Sy had sneaked in a quick shower while I was sorting out Ali and Carrie's things from our cases so it was just me who was minging lol I still knocked though ;)

We spent ages there chatting and cuddling the kitty's. We were scheduled onto a periscope line up, we had hoped to be back in Disney by then but we weren't so we ended up scoping from their living room! Oopsy! Too busy chatting and not paying enough attention to time - time flies when you're having fun as they say.

Mark had been making cookies so we were treated to warm cookies while we were there and we were even given some to take with us (they made a great pre breakfast snack the next morning hehe).

We left there and arrived back at our hotel for 10:45, quite impressive to still be awake seeing as it was 3:45am by then to us.

Quick snap of the bed before we practically fell into it, after a shower for me ;) we were tucked up in bed by 11:30pm local time (4:30am to us, 21&1/2 hours awake!! Yikes)

Day 2

I slept through till 5am, I was awake for about an hour before dozing off again until 7:15, I'll take that as a win!

We quickly got dressed for the day ahead and then made our way over to MK - well there's gotta be an upside to being awake this early right? We wanted to make it to see the rope drop ceremony! We valet parked at GF and hopped on the monorail.

We made it just in time, Sy got randomly selected while I was in the queue for bag check. It was then time for the show!

I cried of course, as you do. I don't think there are many things that top this for me. It's optimises everything I love about Disney.

We walked up main street slowly, taking everything in. We stopped to get some Photopass pictures with a Cast Member who we recognised from our last trip for being awesome. He took our pictures in the Grand Floridian with Jan and he was crazy good! He was so touched we remembered him that he went to town taking pictures for us <3

Afterwards I gave him one of the little thank you cards I made up before we left home which has a pic of Squirt (Finding Nemo) and says 'thanks for making our trip totally sweet'

We walked on some more before stopping in Main Street Bakery for some food. We walked and found somewhere to sit and eat outside the plaza.

Another breakfast of champions.

Selfie in front of the castle!

It was then time for our first Fastpass in the shape of Seven Dwarves Mine Train! We sat in the back row. It was way better in the back that's for sure.

We saw the ugly sisters nearby meeting so we hopped in line to meet them. Omg it was the best meet I've ever had! They were hilarious! We periscoped the meet so I'll try uploading the video here (fingers crossed it works). They were fascinated by the people inside the tiny screen watching them and commenting! (Still having trouble uploading :( gutted)

We then made our way out of MK and back to the car as we were meeting Vicki and Ali for lunch in My French Cafe, just north of MK.

We caught the boat back

Was so lovely to chat for a while over some food. I went for a BLT (hold the T), Sy had a croque Madame. We got 2 desserts to share, a passion fruit and raspberry tart and a red fruit mille feuille. They were both amazing <3 :muchlove:

Afterwards we popped into the Publix for some supplies - meaning Diet Coke and apple with caramel sauce hehe.

We decided that we would then head back to the hotel for a swim. Ali decided to come with us to sit by the pool in the sunshine.

We arrived back in the room to find the cutest little towel animal!! Omg!! I also took some pics of the room seeing as I had forgotten the day before

Can you spot the photobomb?

Sy had a dip in the pool while Ali and I did a bit of sunbathing. I got a bit scared as I went really red :O but luckily it was just where I got a little hot and not sunburn, phew!

We headed back out at 5pm and over to Epcot to meet Vicki. Ali picked up her annual pass so I waited for her and Sy went in ahead. Of course this is what he did with his time...

We went to ride Spaceship Earth as we were passing and there was no wait.

We picked up our AP picture for the flower and garden festival before heading into the land pavilion to meet up with Vicki. I couldn't get over how quiet it was in there, with Soarin' closed. We went to ride a favourite of mine, Living with the Land <3 I know I've seen it a million times, but I still love it. I did notice something weird in there though, when you first go into the outdoor bit where the sand is, there were paw prints everywhere! Wonder what animal put those there?! Sadly we had gone past before I got the camera out.

Afterwards we grabbed some food in Sunshine Seasons. I went for a kids chicken wrap with potato wedges, it was ok. Sy doesn't remember what he ate and I have no pictures or notes - whoops! He did eat, trust me hehe.

We sat chatting for a bit before heading out to world showcase to see some of the Flower and Garden topiaries.

Warning, photo overload...

We stopped mid way round in America to share a funnel cake (well Sy and I did, Ali and Vicki thought we were mental for sharing Hahahaha)

Eventually as the sun had set and it was time to find a spot to watch Illuminations. We stopped between Italy and Germany.

We got chatting to the sweetest Cast Member while we waited. I forgot to catch her name sadly but I wish I had. She took a group picture for us.

Illuminations was good (it's no wishes let's face it). We had started to seriously flag now though so it was back to the hotel for us and back to Vicki's for her and Ali.

We arrived back and hit the hay at 11pm

Day 3

Woke up at 6:30 this morning and lay in bed for a bit, but by 7:50 we were up, dressed and leaving the hotel. We made our way over to McDonald's for some breakfast. Egg mcmuffin for me without the egg (this always gives them a giggle! It still comes with ham and cheese which I like, I just don't like the egg!), Sy went for his usual, sausage mcgriddle - he's gutted we don't get these at home. We went through the drive through and ate them in the car park. Weird concept really, getting drive through and then sitting in the car rather than just getting up and walking in! But that's what we did.

We then drove over to the GF and valet parked.

We hopped on the monorail and we were in time to watch Rope Drop again!! Squeeeeeee! Can never see that show enough.

We were meeting Ali this morning so we didn't want to go too far from Main Street before she arrived, so we decided to go for a ride on the old style double decker bus. This was a first for us. It's really good! It's a great perspective up there, you can see things in a whole new way. I personally loved the up close views of the Windows with everyone's name on.

We waited at the other end of Main Street and then rode back down again on the old fashioned fire truck <3 I got to ring the bell all the way down (much to the annoyance of everyone else on board haha).

When we arrived back down at the front Ali was just getting in the queue to meet Minnie Mouse so we went over to join her :)

We then went round to join the queue to meet Pluto. I do love Pluto. Sy was periscoping the meet and he just loved playing up for the camera!

We then managed to catch the Trolley show from in front of the Train Station.

It was soooo HOT today so we decided to go round on the train once for a bit of shade and breeze. Plus well, it's fun to ride the train!

We got off again at Main Street and as we were walking out we got chatting to some CM's who looked like they might be managers of some sort, they were asking how our day was etc. As we said goodbye they gave us 2 paper fastpasses, how nice of them! We decided we would go to ride Splash a little bit later and use one.

We started walking up Main Street and stopped to get some photopass pics.

Love this one, makes me laugh every time! Ali giving Sy an air kiss haha

We were all a bit parched so we decided to stop in Starbucks to get some drinks... This is where Sy turned into a teenage boy again... He had it in his head he wanted to try getting the Starbucks people to yell out a funny name. Being from the uk and having different slang words he decided he would try an unknown word in America. He went off to order his drink and told the girl who took his order his name was 'Clungay' which was a Dutch name... He even helped her spell it... C... L... U... N... G... Ë... Or for any Inbetweeners fans... Clunge. If you don't know what that means, well I might suggest you search the urban dictionary.

Anyway Sy returns giggling to himself to wait for his name to be called, knowing full well they will take one look at the name and pronounce it Clunge. He turned his phone to video to relive the moment over afterwards and filmed the exact moment he's called up to get his drink, even asking them to repeat the name! Back he comes again nearly wetting himself. Yes, that is my husband people. To be fair, Ali and I did do a fair bit of giggling afterwards (with him or at him, you decide!).

Just as we were walking outside the move it shake it parade was coming past so of course we had to go watch and join in! And by we I mean Ali and I joined in, and Sy periscoped us dancing like fools...

All danced out we made out way over to Splash to cool down - dancing in Florida sunshine is hot work I'll have you know ;) The Fastpass we were given was for 5 guests so we hung about at the entrance for a few minutes till we found a couple about to join the line and asked them if they would like to join us in the Fastpass queue. They were really grateful - love spreading a bit of pixie dust!

Ali had never been on Splash, I've written in my notes 'scared Ali to death' hahaha poor Ali! I think she liked it still though...

Afterwards it was then time for some lunch, we had a reservation for Be Our Guest <3 I do enjoy lunch here. Louis came to join us too which was lovely. Bit of a queue to pay (no queue if you pre-order so must remember that for future reference!). But we were soon finding somewhere to sit in the West Wing.

I went for the usual turkey sandwich, Sy went for steak sandwich and a Masters cupcake.

I took a bit ill at lunch :( Ali was due to leave MK after lunch so I asked her if she would drop me back at my hotel on her way while Sy and Louis had a bit of boy time in MK.

I had an hour sleep in the hotel which along with some tablets had me feeling much better. I watched some tv and had a shower just in time for Sy to arrive back at 6:30.

Sy and Louis had been off having fun in MK. They rode Carousel of Progress and the People mover, they also went to the Polynesian to have a dole whip! alright for some ;) (I'm just jealous I had to miss out hehe)

Sy also bought himself a present....

We were heading out again at 7pm in search of some dinner. Everywhere had huge queues outside. We ended up driving all over and settling on chili's at Lake Buena Vista.

Our server was such a sweetie and sooooooo camp. We decided to go for the 2 for $20 meal, we shared some Texas fries to start then Sy went for a bacon burger while I went for chicken fajitas. $32 inc tip. Not bad at all. The food was lush too!

I forgot to take a pic of our mains but here, drool over our starter...

We then made our way over to MK - we wanted to watch Wishes. We parked up and hopped on the monorail over. Ali was in MK too so we met up once inside.

It was almost time for the Main Street Electrical Parade so we found a spot on Main Street to watch it.

Pic of the infamous white rabbit... He didn't fall over today ;)

Quickly popped into Guest services after to get Ali a new tables in wonderland card once the parade was over, and then it was time to find a spot to watch Wishes <3<3

We decided to go up to the Train Station and watch from there, it's meant to be a good place to watch and as we haven't ever watched from this spot we thought it would be a good place to try. We managed to get a really good view, right in the centre and only a couple of people in front of us. It was nice seeing it from up there but it's definitely not my favourite place to see it from, mainly due to the lights staying on on Main Street and the music not being played up there (you could still hear it but it was much quieter). But it was nice to try it out!

Once it was finished we were totally shattered so we decided to head straight back to the hotel. We were tucked up in bed by 11:15

Day 4

I was awake at 6:30 this morning. My mum had sent me a message and asked me to call her so I went outside the room to call and leave Sy sleeping. It was then I first got the news about my brother being taken ill, we didn't know what he was ill with but that he was in intensive care after an ambulance being called to his home. They said the outlook wasn't good, his organs weren't working for themselves :(

It wasn't the best start to the day. Though it was pretty stunning outside.

I went back in and woke Sy up with the news. We decided not to rush out to a park this morning and instead messages Vicki and Ali to see if they wanted to meet for breakfast at Keke's. We arranged to meet at 10 so in the mean time we had showers and I washed my hair before heading out.

We were a bit early so we could put our names down on the waiting list.

Ali, Vicki and Vicki's son Finlay arrived just before we were called in. Perfect timing.

Breakfast was yummy! I had a waffle and loaded hash browns, oh man I wish I could eat them right now....

Sy went for eggs benedict, Vicki had stuffed French toast and Ali had banana French toast.

Our breakfast was $28. Not the cheapest but very nice. We left Keke's, said goodbye to the others and made our way to Animal Kingdom.

It was sooooo hot today! We went to watch it's tough to be a big first to get out of the sun and into the aircon.

After we decided to make our way over to festival of the lion king, favourite show in Disney! We had time to stop for a frozen jungle juice on the way - there's always time for a frozen jungle juice ;) We still had a bit of time to kill so we watched the African band playing for a little while, loved watching the dancers getting all the little kids up to dance.

It was then time to make our way into the Lion King, we were first in line so we got a great viewing spot, sorry no pictures though! The show was of course amazing as always.

Afterwards it was time for our Fastpass for Kali. The Fastpass queue was 20 minutes long :O crazy! We lucked out and got a spot which didn't get too wet, though I think in the current heat the wet might have been a welcomed relief. In fact it was so hot that we decided to call it a day after and head back to the hotel.

We stopped on the way for Sy to get some pics of the new River's of light viewing area.

After being up so early this morning, I was feeling sleepy and had a 45 minute nap. Sy woke me up as we had to make our way out to dinner with Carrie and Mark. We were going to a bbq place called Cecil's outside of the normal tourist spot. I hadn't looked at the place online or anything, Carrie said they did chicken so I was good. I put the address in Google and off we went.

I was starting to panic when we got nearly there and the area wasn't looking the best... But we pulled up and it looked good. Though I was a tad overdressed lol

The food was really, really good, and it looked a good price - though I can't say exactly as Carrie and Mark paid for our dinner <3

This is the place if anyone wants to visit http://www.cecilsbbq.com

We stayed there chatting for hours till the place was pretty much empty. We said goodbye at 9pm.

We decided on a whim to go up to top of the world lounge for fireworks so we hot footed it over to Bay Lake Tower. There was no room inside at a table so we got a spot outside and waited for Wishes to start. For some reason Wishes was late tonight, and then when it did start there was no music! What?! We were a bit gutted honestly after rushing to get there. Ah well! Not like we haven't seen it before ;)

We left bay lake tower at 10:30 and made our way back to the hotel, we were in bed by 11:30.

Does your badge say I'm celebrating being a Princess? Love it.
Hahaha yes it does! We got chatting to a lovely CM who insisted on making us buttons to wear, mine says being a princess, Sy's says being married to a princess and Ali's says not so solo trip (as she usually holidays solo)
