~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

I freaking hate when they all get put on the same plane. :headache:

I also hope the previews for next week were being intentionally misleading.
That was my thought, too, since ALL of the previews were cowboys. :sad2:

::yes:: Makes you wonder why bother getting a good hour or two lead. :confused3

I was hoping for Carol and Brandy to be out. Even last night, there was a mean comment made by them. My hope for the final three: Steve and Allie, Jet and Cord and Mike and Louis. I like how (at least through the editing) there is rarely a cross word between the players, they are all pretty strong, and they are all willing to acknowledge mistakes and play harder the next time. Whining is at a minimum. :thumbsup2

I was so mad the cowboys didn't take the bottle!! I don't know what they were thinking (obviously they weren't!) I hope they catch up next week, but the previews don't look good for them.

I really don't like when they get equalized at this point of the game. That really hurt some of the stronger teams. I don't think they should do that when they get down to a handfull of teams. The detectives had such a good lead going in.....then it's gone.

I don't know if the father daughter will get their bags back, it didn't sound like it. It seemed like the teams were supposed to take their back packs to the beach and it looked like there was another boat that was taking the back packs. It was probably listed in the clue, but they just didn't show us, but it looked like they should have had the packs with them at that point. There is so much we are not shown.

Yeah.... the cowboys were definitely off their game last night. We couldn't believe that the teams didn't double or even triple check their area to make sure they had all the coconuts after they saw the models having to come back to get one.

About the backpacks.... at the end they show, Allie and Steve are enjoying their dinner on the beach and both are wearing different clothes than they had on when they checked in, so I'm thinking they did get their backpacks back. Just a guess though.

Was the last non elimination also when they all left at the same time, and took the bus? I wonder if that is why it is non elimination. I don't understand, if they all have to leave at the same time, why they don't hold them up at the other end by time. It seems to me, that those that have to leave earlier, because they came in sooner, end up losing sleep. Those that come in later, leave later and get more sleep. Doesn't seem fair to then have them all leave at the same time. Of course those that left earlier, if they choose to do so, were able to check in the flight earlier and get seats closer to the front.

I also hate them but it is a built in equalizer. They have at least one per season and I think it is to make sure no team gets a really large lead. If a team won by an hour two or three legs in a row they could end up walking it if there wasn't some way to catch them all up again.

I couldn't believe how many people messed up tasks yesterday. How they didn't have someone wait behind as the cart pulled out to make sure something wasn't underneath is beyond me. I also didn't get why they went back with the cart. One team member should have just run back to grab the one coconut instead of laboring back with the ox. I am not sure if they specified in the clue that they couldn't though.

I imagine that these people have watched previous seasons and know how many people just don't read the clues.

I'm hoping the cowboys overcome the speed bump. I'm still hoping the final 3 are the cowboys, father/daughter, and the cops. Anyone but Caite's team.

Or they could have purchased some new items. Just a thought.

If they didn't/don't go back and get their packs, I hope they don't go to anywhere w/ cold weather. They will so NOT be prepared. Its cheaper to buy warm weather clothes. Warm coats, hats etc might blow their budget.

If they had a long time before a flight or something next leg, they could go back after they get their tickets right? Or, are they allowed to call/pay someone to go get them for them:confused3

I hope the cowboys READ the clue next time. Why would the retrieve an item and then leave it behind, come on guys.

And them and the cops went to eat instead of getting their seats, that was a big mistake. :guilty:

What a way to lose a lead! I was a little shocked that the teams made so many mistakes last night, it makes me think that it happens more often than we can see in a one hour show. I do hope that the mean women are eliminated next week, they just are nasty.

My feeling is that they won't be. Its all in the editing. The producers know the outcome of the race before they edit. They want to give us a team to hate, till the end. I'm sure all the teams have their meltdown moments also--we just don't see it.

Like when the team got eliminated a couple of weeks ago. Can't remember their names but it was the morse code challenge. Apparently he was quite cocky and rude to the other teams and quite disliked...we just didn't see much of it.

I'm watching it now, and the thought of Brandy in a swimsuit just scares me.

I agree...especially after they showed the clip on the mat with the detectives and Brent/Caite and they were complaining about how all the teams hated them. That means unfortunately we will be stuck with them until the end.

What the heck was that about? I don't remember them asking those questions before.

The women don't bother me much. However, Caite bugs the heck out of me. She seemed eager to talk trash about the women (what are their names) at the mat.

those models are driving me crazy

talk about whiners - boo hoo hoo it's not fair boo hoo hoo i quit waaaaa i'm such a baby i'm gonna throw a fit becuase I messed up boo hoo hoo

I was hoping the models would go but since they were ahead I was then hoping it would be the lesbians. I don't care for either one of them. I am glad the cowboys are getting a second chance. I didn't care for them to much in the beginning. Mostly I was sick of hearing "oh my gravy" but now since they don't say it a lot (or it's not shown) they aren't quite as irritating.

Well, just went and watched Elimination Station. Joe fully intends on confronting the cops about why they U-turned him and Heidi.

what is emimination station?
