THE AMAZING RACE #19 official thread. No Spoilers!! Premieres Sept. 25

Disliked Rob and Amber even more after Amazing Race, which I didn't think was possible! I thought the race brought out their arrogance and cutthroat behavior even more. To me, AR is about skill, finesse, cooperation, not the lying and backstabbing so common to Survior. I didn't like that Rob and Amber brought their Surivior gameplay into AR. I like AR even more because most teams (I know there are a few exceptions) don't sabotage each other or work together and then stab each other in the back on a regular basis. I appreciate the dirty play on Survior, but not on Amazing Race.

I didn't find they played dirty at all on AR.

But other teams sure have. And it gets excused, often. I am not sure why R&A were singled out as the epitome of this when they were far from the first to be deceptive and have not once sabotaged a team as occurred one season when a contestant manipulated a task to make it harder for other players that followed. (His team received a penalty for that.)

Don't know who Jenna and Ethan are or any of the other reality tv "stars" are who make their way onto AR. I do like watching the race though, and can't wait for tomorrow night.

I have been trying to find out where they are staying, but can't find any info on the sites I used to go to. I'll keep looking. I also agree that isn't really a spoiler, so I'm okay with someone posting if they find out.

Exactly...they never broke any rules. IN fact, when Rob couldn't do a gross food challenge, he asked Amber to look up what the penalty would be. He used the penalty to get out of his dilemma. Once they knew what the penalty was, they knew they had to have at least 2 teams agree to take the penalty also. He talked more than two teams into taking the penalty.

They figured out the goal was not to be FIRST at the mat, the goal was not to be LAST.

The thing that I LOVED about Rob and Amber is that they never got angry with each other. It was always encouraging and supportive. Too many teams just start yelling at each other.

Right now the CT station is ontime, the NY station is late. I hope this doesn't go on all season, I would hate to have to DVR both channels.

Liking the snowboarders and the father son team so far. I feel bad for the old people.

Interesting way to finish, now more than ever I will be curious to see the start times and how far apart everyone actually is next week.

I like that father/son adventure team, the older couple and the pro-football player and his wife the best so far.

My least favorite teams are the twin sisters and the team that lost the passport.

Well, I know we're all playing from home and had the camera clue indicating what "look up" meant. But it was funny how many teams didn't simply take that clue at face value and went wandering - the grandparents furthest of all.

Which two?:lmao:

Girls got lucky. I wonder if they make a rule for that next season.:lmao:

I think they just wanted to prove how mass media can affect the game.

CBS has a forum set up on the Amazing Race on their website
