THE AMAZING RACE 15, Season Starts 09/27/09

Maybe they are really good friends and it was cold out and they were huddling together. The globetrotters waited outside for their penality, but then at the end, it showed them inside getting up off the floor. So maybe the place felt sorry for them and allowed them inside.

One of the globetrotters said, they really did the race for the experience. They almost got to the end, so maybe the money really didn't matter to them in the end. But I am sorry to see them go.

I think they are such a good sports.Im sure they wanted to money too, but they they were there for more than money. I had never felt so sad for a team. Big easy tried so hard.

Does anyone knows if they're going to be on the early show tomorrow?

I wonder if Big Easy might be dyslexic; I asked my 15yo DD (she is dyslexic) if those challenges he didn't do well at would be hard and she said they would be hard for her.

I am so disappointed! Fast Track should have done that roadblock or whatever it's called. I feel he would have been able to do it. Taking the penalty was the easy way out, I don't care how long he was in there.

I am soooo disapointed in the brothers! For him to not share when they were working together is rotten!

I'm now a fan of Megan & Cheyne.

I was hoping that the arm of the statue would fall off and they would have to start over. May KARMA come and bite them in the behind!

My son and I were thinking the same thing and when he let them pass with the broken arm we screamed. lol

Im going for anyone but the 2 brothers LOL.

Poor Big easy, he thought they were 'working together' Ahgghhhghhhgg I used to like the bros, just a bit, well not anymore. I hope Megan and Cheney win.

Well you have to admit that Megan and Cheney have run a good race, so far, they by no means are my favorite but they have really stayed focused.

Can you really blame the brothers for not giving the globetrotters the clue??? They know good and well that if push comes to shove that they would lose to them, it is for a lot of money and I can't say I wouldn't do the same to be in the top three. I don't feel really bad that he did that after all would Big Easy really have shared the clue with him, I kind of don't think so.

This last team ( can't remember their names)...but I would love to have a dh treat me as well as he has treated her on the race, that is one good man to her, but I think she gives up to easy on everything and gets mad, he has basically carried her though this far, don't look for them to win.

I am pretty sure he would have gotten it right if he would have stayed and worked on it in less time than the four hour penalty.

Keep in mind, they had to fill out the stupid form each time, too. So, it wasn't jsut a matter of unscrambling the letters.

I think the Globetrotters were really hurt by a lack of education. I felt that, too, on the time/lock challenge--everyone else had the critical thinking skills they don't seem to possess. Most people with a decent HS level education could come up with Franz (you know the first letter is "F", "FR" is the only logical 1-2 combination, etc.) I felt so bad for them--such great guys, with great attitudes.

I'm not a huge fan of Megan and Cheyne, but they've run a great race.

I was so hoping they would reject the golum with the broken arm. Of course, we would have had to hear more of the brothers whining, but it would have been SOOO worth it!

What is their highest level of education? I think they are both pretty intelligent judging on past tasks, I think at this point of the race, they are exhausted and the brain just wasn't working on this task.

I too was hoping the broken arm would be their downfall but I'm not sure the Rabbi even noticed.

What bothered me the most was that it was the BROTHER who approached Big Easy and said, "do you want to work together?" He did it because he was having trouble and couldn't figure it out, so he wanted to use Big Easy. Then when the brother got the name right, he didn't need Big Easy any more so he screwed him over and said, "see ya." Kind of a cruddy thing to do and shows what kind of person he is. Yes, he gave him the first letter, but that wasn't the deal, the deal was that they would work together to get the clue TOGETHER. Yes, it's a race and yes, he wants to win, but don't go making a deal and not follow through. Don't make the deal in the first place if you don't want to share the answer IF you get it first.

It's like he did it on his terms, "If you get the answer, give it to me so I get ahead, but if I get the answer I wont give it to you and I still get ahead."

It bothers me because if you were not going to give him the clue, then you should not have asked, then agreed, to work together.

Yes, I can.

Don't say you want to work with them, use them to eliminate some combinations of letters and then leave them high and dry. It is morally wrong and bad sportmanship!

The brothers are jerks!

I'm not sure why you assume they don't have an education. They both went to college.

I think if the brothers win the race we can officially say that karma does not exist. :sad2:

And did I imagine it or did he ramble off the letters in the right order when he was telling the brother which letters he had.

No but he was so darned CLOSE! F-A-R-N-Z is what he rattled off. I was sure that he'd get it soon because of that. He obviously didn't hear me yelling at the tv to switch those letters. :rolleyes1

I was so hoping that the rotten, whiney, poor-sport brothers would have to do another golum thing and have to cart it back a second time! Oh, I would have loved that!

I didn't think the GT would win but I really wanted them in the final 3.

I seriously hope the brothers get so stuck on a task that they're in a rediculously laughable (like HOURS later) 3rd place. That's saying a lot because I really don't like Erika. Meghan & Cheyne will win, I think.

I'm not sure why you assume they don't have an education. They both went to college.

I agree with the pp who suggested that he may have dyslexia. Combinations of letters and numbers? Yeah, they all start to swim around and nothing makes sense.

The GTs really amazed me with how quickly they figured out the gold weighing challenge. Didn't Brian and Erika try that first but gave up and went to build the hookahs?

My assumption on the education is the lack of critical thinking skills. Sure, it may be fatigue, at this point, but it was also a factor in the lock/time challenge. It really seemed like Big Easy was completely, completely thrown by the letters last night. Totally defeated--to quit like that. Especially since he had a paper and was scribbling the choices. Now, maybe it's something like dyslexia that was making it so darn hard for him. I thought "education" just because he didn't even seem to know how to logically approach the task (F first, then only so many combinations, etc.)

Also, it may be a stereotype, but a lot of jocks, even ones who went to college, are woefully lacking in education. It's a shame, really, but coaches and scouts focus on their talents, and don't worry about what will happen once they no longer play their sport. There are literally college jocks who can't read a cereal box. It's a darn shame! And I don't know their backgrounds, but I also look at Flight Time was from N'Awlins--not exactly an educational mecca. It makes me suspect he was the product of a bad public school. Maybe not, maybe I'm just assuming, but a lot of us live in nice, middle-class areas, and don't think too much about kids who struggle in failing schools.

I thought the brothers would be out as soon as I saw the arm hanging off that statue. Not sure how that was acceptable to the rabbi~

I do have a question about that Cheyne~ is his backpack filled with hair products? That is some "do" he has going....: )
