THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

The teams should have know where the Gorilla was before they entered their cabs. They should have asked people on the plane, people standing next to them in customs, etc. They ALL waited far to long.

I agree! :confused3

As for Mike and Mel picking the barrels task, I think of all the teams they would have had the most difficulty with the two mile rickshaw run. So the barrels was probably better for them. I was surprised Keisha and Jen didn't do the run, though.

Did you notice there was only about 5 minutes left on the stuntbrothers' penalty when the next team arrived? They were that far ahead of everyone!
Also, I think Tammy and Victor's cabdriver offered to lead them in the rickshaw and Victor said, no that's not allowed, just meet us there. So maybe it said in the directions they couldn't have assistance.

It did, Victor read it aloud. It clearly said they could ask for directions, but they could not hire a guide.

But what didn't look fair, to me, was that Victor's taxi driver followed them and they kept looking back and asking questions then telling him to follow them. It seems that they still had help, but the taxi just wasn't leading the way.

I liked Mike and Mel's attitude at the shop picking the boxes. They had such fun with it, and they knew they were far behind. The shopkeeper was all smiles with them. It kind of made up for the horrid cheerleaders. I want the sisters and the cheerleaders gone for making fun of the brothers' size. Make fun of their race, fine. But not their size. Rude!

ETA: I don't mean their race as in white, black, hispanic, etc, but their race as in how they are racing. That sounded funny after I re-read what I posted. LOL

Did I hear them right? The show won't be on next week?

ETA: I found this interesting, the elimination station is in Thailand this year. So, Mel and Mike won't have far to travel. Plus, when I was watching the first episode of elimination station, the first couple eliminated is in a van being driven from the airport to their villa. And they pass by a 7-Eleven. We don't even have one of those around here.
7-Eleven is an international company with stores all over the world. I was shocked the first time I saw one in Japan, but now I have come to expect them in unexpected places :).

OK ... now for what you have all been waiting for ... last night's dinner! My DH decided to cook last night and I just had to :rotfl:. He sometimes complains that I take too long to cook dinner. It took him 90 minutes to shop and then another 2 hours to prepare and cook. That will probably be the last time he cooks in a very long time!

Shrimp tum yum soup
Tofu pad thai
Sticky rice with mango
Mango ice cream
Singha beer

It was all very yummy!

I really liked the team that was delayed for dirty tricks. It makes me feel bad that they felt they needed to do that :(. I am glad that they suffered a penalty. Maybe they, and the other teams, will think twice next time.

Well, the little people just gave me another reason to dislike them and hope they are out next episode. Cheaters, and making racist Asian comments when they started up in the rickshaw. For as loud and nasty as the one Red is about her "ugly American" attitude, I have seen a lot of subtle UA crap from these two clowns. They cannot get off my screen soon enough.

And to the poster who said she changed her attitude about Margie & Luke after they used the U-Turn: the U-Turn is a legitimate part of the game, and they seem to have used it to their advantage quite well (getting rid of a strong team). Completely different than, say, these little jerks tampering with the bicycle pumps, which is uber-uncool.

I think this was partly due to their following the cab, but more so to do with them having properly inflated tires and the other teams all pulling rickshaws with flats. Ever try riding a bike with a flat tire? It takes a ton more effort to get anywhere.

Dang, I totally didn't catch their racist comments. I'll go back and rewatch. That's totally not cool.

That could mean that the other teams failed to notice the pumps because they were all in the box. Seems the plan worked, right up to the point they got caught. :rotfl2:

I agree with all this. ;)

I will miss Mike and Mel - they had a great attitude the ENTIRE time. They had fun. Boo to the cheerleaders for all that yelling - must be so annoying to be around so many people who are so incompetent and who have the nerve to not speak english in their home country! C'mon - give me a break!

Seems to me that that would have been a Rob and Amber trick seasons ago had they had the opportunity. I thought that it was pretty sneaky and smart on their part. I wonder if it's written somewhere in the rules that tricks like that are not allowed. Haven't they been done before without penalty?

You mean other than when Mel was making rude comments about the little guys during the hanggliding/run or whatever down the mountain?

I was happy to see Mel and Mike go..next, Margie and Luke, then the brothers, then the rude girls.

Oh, must've missed that. We all have our moments though - I still liked them. ;)

Haha - and I like Margie and Luke too. Good thing we don't watch the show in the same house! :rotfl:

Did anyone else just last night realize that there is no medical staff or helpers traveling with Phil apparently? He was the one taking care of Margie. Gosh, he's just the sweetest.

I was saying outloud "get her in some shade, put a cool compress on the back of her neck and get her some cold water for goodness sake". Then I saw that they did that. I still think they heard me yelling through the tv. :rotfl:

Phil seemed very concerned. He did good! :thumbsup2

Us too. We were very surprised she didn't go down earlier. She was saying her lips and fingers were numb in the cab! Strong lady.

Mel did that because he wanted them short guy to get frustrated and run down the hill. Like the rest and hope that the wind would get him down faster. It was a game play on his part.

He didn't say it to be mean to them....:confused3 That was the only time I saw him do that. Over all these two men were having fun , mostly beating themselves up over dumb moves and the other one being positive for the other.

I said to my husband, "they should of called a medic in as soon as she mentioned her fingers were cold!" What was it 95 degrees? Phill just stood and looked at her, and then he signed to Luke their place.

I think she was running on adrenaline and when she knew they had made it her body collapsed.
