THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

Did you guys see that camel kick one of the people from India? It knocked him to the ground...ouch!

I didn't get to see the previews because 60 minutes went over(maybe from basketball?) and TAR was cutting into Desperate Housewives!

I like Victor and Tammy less and less each week. He sure does think alot of himself.

The preview showed Margie fainting from the heat. She said she needed water and then Luke grabbed her saying Mom! Mom! Phil and a bunch of other people were there to help so it looked like they were at the finish mat.

That was pretty wild when the camel kicked that guy!

I thought it was pretty funny how Mel was suffering so much doing the Roadblock, yet managed to finish before all those others, since he actually paid attention and used the basket. :)

I'm wondering if the Detour the stuntmen chose was a lot harder than the dancing one...I didn't think they were that far back from everybody, but they barely made it to the mat before the blondes.

Next week's previews look exciting...and I was happy to see Phil was right there when Margie looked like she was passing out, cuz that means they make it to the mat....at least, I hope that's what it means!

What did the brother and sister win for coming in first....hubby was yapping.:rolleyes2 Next week looks very good with the one armed animal handler at the roadblock. I thought I heard the announcer say heat exhaustion is why Margie faints next week. :faint: I remember from past shows, racers commenting on how hot it is there.

Kind of sad to see the blondes go home. I did not like them at the beginning, but they had grown on me.

This is the first season that I don't have an absolute favorite at this point of the race. I don't have any teams that I absolutely dislike either. That surprises me. lawyer siblings come the closest though--He's too arrogant.

They each won a kayak.

No fast forward yet. I wonder if they eliminated it. They generally have 2 during the race and should have had one by now.

Once I realized TAR would be starting late, I DVR'd DH, can't miss a minute of TAR.

I forgot about the Fast Forward. I can't imagine they eliminated it, maybe they will just have one this time.

Thanks! Although, I don't think they will be using them, I don't think they are the kayaking type.

I sort of get that feeling also, but I liked how they said it was a great prize for CA. Nobody really stands out this season, to like or dislike.

I just realized last night that there are no more couples on the AR. Has this ever happened before? Hasn't there always been at least one couple at the finish?

Thought it was so funny when the one girl started stuffing hay down her shirt to help transport as much as she could. Can you imagine what the finish would have been like had they not used the baskets?

You're correct. I hadn't realized that.

Great episode last night. Go Mel! I could not believe he finished before everybody else. Guess that basket made a HUGE difference. And I'm back to disliking the redheads - one just does nothing but yell (sorry, I'm not good with the names)- driving me nuts!!

Looks like Margie gets affected by the heat next week, but is it bad that I'm a little jealous she gets to faint into Phil's arms? :lovestruc

We actually rewinded and watched that a couple of times...vicious! :scared1:

What a drag starting late...I didn't think we'd have to worry about that with football season over :headache:

was it just me, or did it look like margie was at a pit stop when she fainted? if so thats not good, that means they made it again. i want those guys and the cheerleaders out! Go victor and tammy!

Everyone makes it to the pit stop. They wee on the mat when she fainted, but how do we know what place they finished?

Question...why do you think there was no penalty for the tems who did not use the baskets? They all had at least half the feed delivered before they realized the baskets were there, and I think one team used the water bucket the whole time.

I think all the teams eventually switched to the basket.

I was very impressed with Mel finishing before all those other teams - especially with how much he was struggling during the water part.

And it might not have been a pit stop where Margie fainted, but one of those check in mats where Phil tells them the leg isn't finished and gives them their next clue. I guess we will find out next week!

I am liking Mel and Mike more and more. He rocked that challenge!

Exactly what I was thinking! :teeth:

Now, while I know who Anton Chekhov is...am I the only one who would have immediately thought of Star Trek and Pavel Chekhov? Okay, so I'm a nerd...

You're not alone in your nerdiness! lol I thought the same thing.

I hadn't thought about that possibility. They were definitely at a mat of some sort. If you look closely, you can see a corner of the mat in the picture.

I was really hoping the little people would come in last b/c they really are not very good racers. If the blondes had jumped into a taxi that didn't have to refuel, they could have beat them.

I did think their Speed Bump task was pretty neat - how cool is it to say you painted an elephant!

I would be very happy to see two teams go, the brother and sister (mostly because of his attitude) and the ex-cheerleaders (one of them is quite rude, I don't know which.)

The two brother should go home, they are terrible racers.
