THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

Oops, meant flight attendant. I think I said cheerleader cuz the person I quoted said cheerleader.

At any rate, I think both commando and butt floss are gross!!!

And yes, that was funny with the drunk guys!

Tha would be me! LOL :lmao:

I can't keep 'em straight. There's blondes, redheads, and african-american girls, and I never can remember who does what IRL.

Evidently, I can't keep 'em straight either! LOL

LOL Those are the 3 teams that I dislike the most. The cheerleaders are rude to everyone! They snip at the taxi drivers, the other teams they don't like, etc. And Mel (is he the dad?) was making fun of the brothers/stuntmen one week. I don't like players that are rude to each other. I agree, not a popularity contest, but I think you can play the game and be out to win it w/out being rude to people. Thats why I liked last seasons winners.

 It's all relative, isn't it! I truly didn't like the girls either - last night they just didn't bother me quite as much. I'm with you about the rudeness, but I've noticed even in reality, there's a heck of a lot of that going around.

As for the other teams, Victor just bugs me - he's just such a geek or something. I don't know what it is, but he bothers me. :confused3 :)

I think it is that he is so "fake" and he comes across as very condenscending. I mean he acts all care free and giddy with his little sing-song voice, but you know he is calculating every move underneath.

Maybe. He's just so awkward. "1 -2 -3 - we're good now, right?" What the heck was that about. 1 -2 - 3 - now you'll forget I'm a jerk?? :lmao:

I guess I just lost respect for him when they were hiking the wrong way and he just could NOT admit he was wrong. Up until then he was pretty strong - no he seems mindless to me.

Anyone else getting sick of Luke? I mean seriously, you're here for the race, run the race. All he did was worry about the cheerleaders, helping them, staring at them, etc. Sorry, I really don't like Luke & his mom since Luke decided to uturn for no reason and get the good team kicked out. Its annoying seeing him just drool over the cheerleaders all day.

That is a pretty good reason to U-turn them.

I don't like him either but last night when her asked his sister what she thought, her reply was "I don't know."

How can you say they U turned them for no reason?? They were the best team on the race and the favorites at the time to win the $1000000. It is a game, not a popularity contest.

You are out there to win $1 000 000 - so get rid of the tough competition.

Smart move on there part IMHO.

I don't like the cheerleaders much, either, but it's funny how different people's perceptions can be. I hated Nick and Starr. They lied to the other teams (frat boy about helping if they figured out the wall, then about the u-turning thing, telling one team that another team was trying to get them to u-turn them, when really it was them.), and grabbed clues right out of another team's hand. They were a strong team, and weren't the rudest the race has seen, but they played dirty, IMO.

U-turns are part of the race, and teams should expect them to be used strategically, as Margie and Luke did, to oust a strong team. And they had the guts to own up to it, when they could have kept quiet and let the other teams think it wasn't them. Lying to other teams obviously isn't forbidden by AR rules, but is completely different, IMO, from using u-turns and says a lot about a person/team's character.

Tammy or Victor (can't remember which now) also grabbed a clue right out of one of the stunt men's hands in one of the early legs, which was the beginning of my disrespect for them. The whining and idiocy when they took the wrong trail on the vampire detour, and Victor's obvious phony-ness sealed the deal as the most annoying team to me. :happytv:

Hmm .... why was Jodi allowed to wear a coat? Because of the thong?

Yeah, she's not high on my list either. I don't see them sticking around for long. I want him to trust me but then I have nothing to offer. :confused3

LOL - doesn't look like the coat is covering up much of the thong area. :lmao: I didn't see her running with the coat though - I thought her partner threw it on her when she ran up the stairs at the finish. Sometimes I miss details like this though.

I agree. I don't think she got the coat until she got into the theatre.

I took that 1 - 2 - 3 to mean "we'll finish as teams 1, 2 and 3" - kind of like "you're still in the top 3 so it doesn't matter that I lied about helping you".

I'm looking forward to Victor's karma coming back to get him.

Ahhhh - yes, that is probably right. Duh on me!! :rotfl:

I am with you on Nick and Starr----they were horrible. T.K. and Rachael from 2 seasons ago proved you can win the race without lowering yourself.

This was also the time I started disliking the brother/sister team. And they did that more than once. They are the only team I don't like this season.

I thought it was great getting to see Novosibirsk, too. My cousin got his mail order bride from there a few years ago. I guess it's really as big a business in Russia as everyone teases about it being.

I love them being in Russia. So many things that they were being told by people, I understood and was yelling in English the translation. Not that it helped anyone or anything...

I just had to come here because I was so excited to watch this last night. My DH and I stayed in Novosibirsk for over 2 weeks when we traveled to adopt our 2 wonderful children. It was so surreal seeing the places we visited or even drove by. We actually spent an evening at the opera house which was just beautiful. Glad to see that the AR finally got to go there and I could share some of it with friends and family.

I know exactly how you feel, last season AR was in Almaty, Kazakhstan which was the birth place of my children. They also showed areas of the city that we were at.
