Hi Everyone!

I am so excited to share my first PTR!

First the cast of characters:

Trip Planner- :teacher:- Me- ~Sara~ I am teacher to many :grouphug: and mom of two wonderful Kiddo's Kayla and Jordan. DisneyWorld July 2008 POP/Carribean Beach. Disneyland 1981, 1987, 1988, 2004, 2007 (FCCLA National Conference).

Disneyland 2004

I became hooked last year while planning a school trip for FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) (Formerly FHA- HI Alumni:thumbsup2) national convention. I was able to travel with 4 of my high school students to Orlando. We stayed 2 nights pre-conference at POP and 2 nights post-conference at Carribean Beach.

As I was planning this conference trip I felt VERY guilty that I would not be able to take the kids with me. I knew right then I wanted to plan a family trip for 2009. The wheels started turning- when I saw the 4/3 deal I knew I could kick the plan into high gear.

At first I was looking at staying at the POP- no complaints from my last stay the busess, food court, and everything POP were great. I did really like the curtain for the bathroom area at Carribean Beach and the beds were a bit more comfortable at the moderate....and I did want to stay somewhere new with the kids so we could experience it for the first time together. I started looking into the different Mod's. I really like the rustic backwoods nature theme of AB at Riverside and with the 4/3 deal I was sold. So I booked Riverside for June 8-16!!!!!

Next up travel plans! For sure we were flying- that is a given- we live between nothing and nowhere as it is- 4 hours to Reno- 4 hours to Salt Lake City. I checked the airports and SLC was the winner- so the plan is leave at 3 am on the 8th drive 4 hours to SLC plane departs at 9:35 am and lands in MCO at 4 p.m. We are taking ME to the hotel.

The following are my plans- please tell me what you think!

We are on the basic dinning plan we will use our snack credits and bars, oatmeal etc. for quick breakfasts. I have made the following dinning reservations and park plans:

I use the Unoffical Guide and TGM for planning.

6/8 Mon- Take Boat to DTD- dinner Ressie's for 8 pm at Raglan Road- both kids are totally into the Irish culture and super excited for this one.

6/9 Tue- Hollywood Studios- Arrive at rope drop- go one Toy Story 1st, Tower of Terror, then RNR! Tour like crazy until lunch 11:05 at 50's Prime Time Cafe- I ate here last year with my HS students and we had a great time.- Go back to Hotel to rest. Return to Hollywood Studios by 4pm- watch Fantasmic tonight.

6/10 Wed- Magic Kingdom- Arrive at rope drop- CS lunch- afternoon swim and rest at hotel. Dinner at 8:25 Ohana's- good dinner variety for everyone.

6/11 Thur- Animal Kingdom- Sleep in a bit today- DS and I are both early risers-DD likes to sleep in a bit later but she will get up for Disney! CS lunch at Flame Tree with dinner at Boma- Ressies for 7:40. I also had Boma last year with FCCLA- it was a great experience and I can't wait for the kids to try it.

6/12-Fri- Epcot- Rope Drop- Lunch at Le Cellier 1:20- afternoon break- Dinner at Sunshine Seasons, and Illuminations. DD and DS loved Soarn from Disneyland trip in 2004 and are really interested in all the countries of World Showcase. I am looking forward to this park w/o high school girls who only mission was shopping! Not that I don't mind a little shopping but I am more into the experience.

6/13-Sat- Magic Kingdom Breakfast 1900 Park Fare- 10:35. DS wanted a character meal with less cuddly characters and "hot" chicks like Alice- lol. Hormones:laughing: Today I want to catch more shows and parades. We also must see Spectro and Wishes DD request.

6/14 -Sun-Animal Kingdom- Yak and Yeti CS- today I want to focus on shows- I missed Nemo last time and really want to see this one. Lion King was DD favorite movie when she was 3- I think she watched it 500 times. Of course Everest is a must again today- I love this ride.
Dinner at 7:10 at Whispering Canyon Cafe

6/15 -Mon- Epcot- Teppan Edo 12:10 lunch- visit whatever we missed 1st day. DS insists on Downtown Disney this evening for DisneyQuest- we will have CS at Earl or Wolfgang's. I am thinking we may do the Characters in Flight also.

6/16- Tue- Hollywood Studio's- AM until 12:30. We depart MCO at 5:15- arrive in SLC at 8pm- we will stay the night and then drive home next morning.:sad1:

Please please let me know what you think- thanks for reading:love::love::worship:

Very cool! How exciting. It sounds like you are doing alot with your life right now, and a trip to Disney is just such a happy thing to do!! Look forward to more!! just a note- you will most likely be VERY tired on your first day. You didn't note what day you were traveling, but i saw that your first day you had a reservation at Raglan Road- keep in mind you might be too exhausted for this, or planes delay and you might not make it. I would make a reservation for a non-must do on this night. Just my opinion though :)

Thanks for reading my pre-trip report- it was fun to write. I am really getting excited now!

Thank you for the suggestion. We are leaving very early from Salt Lake City UT- but luckily we have a direct flight with no connections to worry about.
If we are too tired then it will just give me a reason to plan another trip:laughing:
