I agree!

Here's hoping they actually got some sleep last night. I'm thinking she's a combo of :cloud9: and  (because of nervous anticipation) right about now. She deserves a mimosa or bloody mary along with a strong cup of coffee for breakfast today!

Isn't that cool that Kyle was quoted again! Mama Kathy is going to be so proud!:goodvibes

But yeah, I can't imagine how nervous she must have been & will be!

I have to take off now, getting my hair colored & lunch with dd today. I'm sad I'll most likely miss Kathy checking in! Lauren, I agree, how cool is it that they quoted Kyle again!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YAY:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Kyle has a cheering squad all the way up here too! I checked in this morning and was getting nervous, so thanks Ladies for sharing the good news!

Good morning all!!!!!

Everyone here was stunned to read that article.....it makes it sound like Kyle pitched a terrible game!!!!:headache: He was incredible last night until the last inning and got a little shaky so coach pulled him and he got another standing ovation. There was a scout for the Colorado Rockies sitting near Johnny and he was amazed at "the junk" Kyle was throwing, which is a good thing ladies.:lmao:

Oh well, we're 1 game away and coach told us after the game last night that if he needs Kyle to come in to pull it off tonight, he's going to "call on his horse"!!!!

I did so much screaming last night I can hardly talk today, which is making Johnny a happy man.:rolleyes1

ETA - WFD: A pool-side BBQ with the boys, early afternoon!

cajunmommy - Thanks for posting the article!!!!:thumbsup2 No one stole my thunder, hey aunties deserve the news as soon as they can get it....:goodvibes

I tried to keep up with it last night but it was just to hard reading a baseball game as opposed to watching or listening to. :headache:

And then the person writing it kept back tracking and missing things. They should have had it on ESPN.

Congratulations to Kyle!!! Kathy, I didn't think the article made it sound like Kyle pitched poorly. It was clear that they were facing a huge hitting team, and Kyle held them off. Kyle was very well-spoken too.

Good luck tonight!

Laura- Kady takes three classes a week and is being considered for the dance company, which is competitive.

That's great! I hope she is selected. I am considering moving Caili into a more serious ballet school in the fall, but I am going to wait and see her recital next weekend first. If she trips over her tutu, I think I'll stick with the convenient and inexpensive ballet class!

Wendie -- Happy Mother's Day to you.

I am on my own for dinner tonight, as the kids have a birthday party to attend. I am going to make pizza.

ETA: For those of you waiting, I got my tax rebate today!! Woo-hoo!

Dinner tonight will be sweet and smoky chicken wraps. In fact, I need to get off the computer and go cook the chicken.

Thanks for worrying about me, guys! I've missed you all!

Glad you're back! Got a recipe for the chicken?

Morning Y'all,

Kathy is probably too excited to check in so...

Woohoo! Kyle & his team won last night! Beat the 1st seed team to advance! Kyle was the starting pitcher!!!!

Here's the article:

Yeah KYLE!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I think tonight will be maple glazed salmon, taken from someone on here awhile back. I am going grocery shopping once Martha is over and I'll see what veggies look good.

Awesome! This boy is going places, my friend :thumbsup2

Now I can admit the same thing. I was totally lost so I needed to come here for the results.

This is her first year of dance and she is in with children who have been there last year. I watched her open window Saturday, and I love her dearly, but :confused3. I think that teacher on Wednesday really thinks her gymnastics are awesome and I agree. Kady practices on her own sometimes for hours. This is a dance company and they are pretty well rounded with a gymnastic component added. If not this year, there is always another time. Her recital is in a few weeks.

Caili will not trip over her tutu. She is a skater so I think she will take that grace over to her dance. Now in practice the girls were making a sort of pyramid and Kady leaped on a little girls back, little girl grabbed her legs and then they both went tail over teakettle :rotfl:

if it's friday, must be george foreman grill hamburger day!!!

We could always tell the day of the week when my Mom was cooking. :thumbsup2

Dinner tonight is a pasta and meat sauce with green salad. I also made a vegetable barley soup with turkey.

Glad you're back! Got a recipe for the chicken?

Sure.

Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing with 1/4 cup finely chopped English cucumber, 1/2 tsp. paprika, 1/2 tsp. freshly cracked pepper, and 1 Tbsp. honey. Cover and refrigerate.

In a large skillet, heat 2 tsp. olive oil and cook 1 1/2 pounds chicken strips (stir fry size) until no longer pink. Add 1 C. salsa, 1-2 tsp. paprika, and 1 Tbsp. honey. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10 minutes.

On a flour tortilla, spread some of the cucumber dressing then place a large lettuce leaf on top of that. Top with chicken and wrap up, folding the bottom of the tortilla up first.

Enjoy!

I don't have to cook tonight!!! Alan is taking me out for a pre-Mother's day dinner!!!! I can't wait!

Kathy - I'm so thrilled for Kyle! Please tell him how proud I am of him. I also loved his prom pictures.

I hope all of you mom's have a wonderful mother's day! You are some of the best moms that it has ever been my privilege to know. I admire each of you so much! Thanks for being the example to me that you are!
