Ok, so when I make the reservations in a few months for a package with QSD and park hopper tickets. Can I request a balcony/patio? Would it cost more? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions, its been decided in my house, we are staying there next year! I'm trying to learn everything I can!

Thanks for the advice!

The information posted by jcb is what you should remember.

MNDisney Congratulations on you CR reservation!!!:dance3: The regular dining plan is great if you like to sit down once a day for a TS meal...

Did this on a recent trip and couldnt believe how easy it was...

We made dining reserations for most of the dinners and CS for lunch time....so with this plan you would want to make some ADRs just to be on the safe side...

The Contempo Cafe at the CR has awesome CS offerings(we have had a few nice dinners here...but sounds like their breakfasts are yummy too!)... and very convenient...

Cinderumbrella :woohoo:

Does anyone think once Bay Lake Tower opens they will sell Bay Lake Tower merchandice in the Bay View Gifts store? However because it's seperate from the Contemporary they might open up a store inside Bay Lake Tower if they are having any merchandice for sale.

I have heard several times that there will be NO stores inside BLT building itself, and NO restaurants either. Basically, there will be a front desk/bell services. That's it. Perhaps a laundry facility for the people who rent the studios. I'm sure there will be vending machines for quick snacks and drinks.

I imagine, like at WL, the DVC merchandise will be sold in the Main gift shop for the adjacent hotel. In this case, the BVG store.

Exactly. AKV, VWL, BWV, BCV and now BLT are not separate, stand-alone resorts (though I know the Kidani section of AKV has their own check-in desk, small store and sit-down restaurant, but I believe that's because it's so large and about a 1/2 mile away from the main building) -- they are considered part of their original resort and share all amenities as such. :)

Well in that case I wonder what items they would selling at the Bay View Gifts store? I am not sure I would purchase anything that says Bay Lake Tower, although you never know.

However since I am a WDW pin collector/trader I do hope the Fantasia store will be selling some open edition Bay Lake Tower pins that anyone can purchase, so obviously I am not referring Bay Lake Tower pins just sold for DVC members.

anyone have any pics of pool we will be arriving on the 16th of may and was wondering how it is coming along:wizard::banana:

Wow, those songs are different than what they played during our stay in June 2008. I wonder how often they change the playlist? :confused3
Hmmm... We recognize them from Aug. '08 and years prior:confused3.

My DH was thrilled to have the playlist link so that he can load them on his iPod and listen to them at the Poly:sad2: and CR in Aug. - just in case they do change the playlist;). After all these years of listening to the same tunes there, we've really grown used to them:music::rockband:.

Thanks for the link, CRRF4L.

You're welcome. :thumbsup2

Maybe they were experimenting with some different music when we were there? :confused3

I dragged out my vacation video from when I did some filming by the pool last June (any excuse to watch WDW vacation videos! :rotfl: ) and while I was filming they played "Africa" by Toto, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet, a country song I couldn't identify (don't listen to country very often), "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Barbara Ann" by the Beach Boys. None of those are on the pool loop link. Weird!

I now have yet another mission on our upcoming June trip...pay closer attention to the "pool loop" music! ;)

I love that you have your video as proof!:thumbsup2:rotfl:

Wow, only one more month until you're at the CR:). I'm going to have to listen carefully in Aug. - this might require an extra adult beverage if it takes a lot of time;).

I imagine a variety of DVC merchandise will be sold rather than BLT specific things. Several years ago, there were some BCV specific polo shirts for sale at the BC Marketplace but for the most part the mercahndise just bears the DVC logo.

I agree with most of this but doubt there will be vending machines. I'm sure there will be a laundry room for the use of anyone staying in a studio.

So I guess it would be like the few DVC logo items I have seen for sale at the Boardwalk.
