Nope. We're still 16 days out. Advising them that my wife will be 8 months pregnant may have been a possible explanation.

Well hopefully what you saw is true because sometimes the WDW website has been wrong with things like this in the past. However my best advice is to print anything off saying where your room is located, because WDWKOOK is correct when saying your room is assigned 3 - 5 days before you check-in and with a convention rate you don't want anything to be messed up when you arrive.

Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your child:goodvibes.

CRRF4L's advice to print-out the confirmation that says Tower is smart. It is very unusual to have a room assigned that far out, and convention room assignments, as CRRF4L mentioned, are usually made at check-in on a space available basis. I think some pregnancy pixie dust must be headed your waypixiedust:

Thanks! This will be our second and final kiddo. We got one of each. The guy at reservations said nothing was guaranteed but when I looked two days later it said what it said.

I'll definitely be printing that out. Thanks for the tips!

Someday, you can tell "second and final kiddo" where s/he got to stay at WDW right before being born. That's pretty neat:thumbsup2

thanks everyone for all the contemp. tips!!!:thumbsup2 we arrived on sat, we got an odd number room and on the gift shop side, not chef. mickir side. i have been coming to wdw for a long time and there is nothing like laying in bed, turning chanel 20 on and watching wishes from your bed!!!!:thumbsup2 thanks again!!!:thumbsup2

It's been a long while since we have stayed in the tower but are you saying that they play the Wishe :surfweb:s music on channel 20 now?

Ok... just a general question... thinking of upgrading my one nights TPV Tower room to Club Level. Do you think it would be pointless to spend the extra $100? We are leaving for the Disney Magic the next morning and would like to have a great kick-off to our cruise. Do they have the fridge open all night with sodas and such? I have stayed at the POLY CL and the lounge was open all night with access to sodas and water all night. We would arrive about 5:30 and I have reservations for Chef Mickeys at 6:10 but other than that nothing is planned. And it would be nice to have access to breakfast in the morning. There are four of us btw... TIA! :thumbsup2

I have a really random question. My ds is addicted to pb & j sandwiches and would love them for a snack in the parks. Is there a place at the CR to purchase these and take them into the parks with me? I was thinking of a grab-n-go sort of place? Thanks so much!

Hey, Gina! Glad to have you over here:)

To be honest with you, if you're only going to be checked-in to the room for a little over 12 hours, I wouldn't bother with CL. Instead, I would order room service for breakfast or stop at the Contempo Café for a quick bite. You could even make an ADR for The Wave. All of these options would be less than $100 for 4 people.

With a 6:10 CM ADR, I can't imagine you'll want to eat apps. in the lounge beforehand. And seeing that CM is a buffet, you probably wouldn't want dessert afterwards. I think you'd have to consume MANY adult beverages after CM to rationalize CL.

:idea:How about changing your TPV reservation to BLV and adding CL? Then you could watch Wishes from the lounge and spend less money.

The Club level lounges have PBJ sandwiches and/or you can purchase Uncrustables for about $2.49 from the Contempo Café here:

Well hello to you too! :goodvibes

I thought about that but it is $79 more than what I have now and for $30 more I can keep my TPV. I think you are right though... I will see about Breakfast at the Wave! How is breakfast there?

What about going to MNSSHP?

The Wave now offers a breakfast buffet which I've read good reviews of. We're going to try it next month so I'll report on what we thought of it. I've never attended MNSSHP so I can't comment.

Well if you plan on taking full advntage of the food offerings in the lounge and etc then I would say it's worth it.

They also do have a fridge that is stocked all day with cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Sprite Zero, Apple Juice and Milk cartons. Then at 5:00 PM they will put in the various bottles of Beer, however at 10:00 PM everything gets taken away for the evening. So it's not a 24 hour fridge like at the Polynesian.

You can also purchase those same PBJ sandwiches from the Fantasia Market, however I can't remember if they are same price was the Contempo Cafe.

Hi everyone! We've recently booked a stay in the garden wing at CR. I was wondering if there was any requests that were usually made about rooms there? From my research, it seemed as though there were preferred buildings/rooms/areas in the mods and values, but couldn't find anything specific about CR. Neither my boyfriend nor I have ever stayed here, though it's (coincidentally) been our favorite hotel since we were younger, so I'd like to make it a special trip.

Thanks!

:welcome: You will have a great time at the CR!!! It's a wonderful resort. The CR doesn't have any 'preferred' rooms per say like the values and mods...what they have is GW standard view, GW GV, Tower BLV, Tower MKV, Tower Standard CL, Tower CL MK....did I get that right, yall??:confused3 There are usually preferred areas within the level of room that guest like to request...can't help you with the Garden Wing...sorry! But there are many on this thread that can give you room suggestions for that area.
