our high school band will be leaving Sunday for DW arriving on Monday! Not sure of the exact day (am waiting for a call from a band parent to find out for sure) but do know they will be marching in a morning parade at the Magic Kingdom. If you see the Bellville High School Band would you mind taking some pictures and send them to me via PM? I miss those days soooo much ; made 2 trips to DW with DD's as a band chaperone and loved every minute of it! Thanks.

We will be at MK on Monday and Thursday -- if I see a morning parade and see your band, I will surely take some pics for you! If they are arriving on Monday, it sounds like they may be marching on Tuesday or Wednesday???? Sounds like I may miss them.......We will wait and see!!

Hi Everyone,

Well, the time has arrived!! We are leaving for DW on Saturday and will be checking into the CR late Saturday night. Woooohoooooo!!! Our last stay was Nov. 2009 for our 20th anniversary -- we totally fell in love with the CR and cannot wait to return!! This time we will have our two princesses with us. Once again, we are staying in an MK View room -- pure magic!! We will be staying for five nights then moving over to the BCV for the remainder of our trip.

I'll be sure to post an update when we return. Our stay last time was soooo wonderful -- loved our room, loved the kind CMs, loved the restaurants and looooooooved that easy walk to the MK -- hopefully this stay will be magical as well. If anyone needs me to check out anything while we're there, please post for me, and I'll do my best!

So true. Heck, she's just across the lagoon, she can stop and visit the CR whenever she wants. I guess she could also ask to stay in a non-CL room at the CR, but who could give-up that RPC/TPV upgrade?

I apologize in advance for the double post but just realized that this was probably the better place to post for CR info. I am so torn and need help deciding b/w CR tower or Garden Deluxe room (assuming it's available). Any reviews or thoughts on Garden Deluxe room would be greatly appreciated especially if anyone has stayed there. I know it has a king, and sofa bed. Any other important info I should know about it?

It's 2 adults, one 4 yr old and one almost 3 yr old. Going in mid to late Jan. 2012. Mainly MK visit. Main priorities: alot of sq. feet in room so we don't feel cramped with the 2 kids as we don't travel light, want to walk to MK everyday with double stroller. The extra sq. ft in deluxe garden room seems appealing to me but I am hesitant to give up the ease of getting snack, coffee in the am, in the tower building.

We stayed in the deluxe room two years ago and LOVED it. Very large room. We were on the first floor, and had a great patio that was very close to the main pool. The bathroom is huge. It has a tub and separate shower. The room also has a wetbar area. I am sure you will love it.

In one of the threads it shows a photo of the pool slide and looks like the posted depth is around 3 feet 4 inches ... I will see if I can find it again.

I don't remember the monorail ever keeping me awake and we always stay on the side above it. I don't think he'll have any problems.

The arcade/food area is on the fourth floor, the escalator/elevator to get to the monorail is also on the fourth floor. The monorail is on a level of its own. Have a great time!

The monorail is not loud at all, it's virtually silent. What you might hear is the sound of the "ding-ding" as the doors open and close. From any room, you couldn't hear that though.

Here is a YouTube video of the CR which shows the 4th floor shops and arcade. There are many YouTube videos of the CR and the monorail so while you're on the site you might want to look at some others:

The arcade and all the shops are located on the 4th floor Concourse. All of the rooms in the Tower begin on the 5th floor. All the Tower rooms are just a quick elevator ride to the 4th floor. Your DD should find it easy to get to the elevators on any floor, as they are located in the the middle of each floor. Once on the 4th floor, your DD will be very close to the arcade and shops.

I think you've made a great choice staying in the Tower with your special needs DD. Everything (except the laundry) is in the Tower and most everything, except the health club, is on the 4th floor Concourse.

All of the rooms in the Tower begin on the 5th floor.

Don't forget that's only true for the Tower rooms with the Bay Lake View. The rooms with the Magic Kingdom View start on the 6th floor.

we stay in the tower, mk view which is above the mono. and you dont even know its there. if you walk out of your room, and over by the railing, it sound like a small fan running. but you cant hear anything in the room.
12 more days till the tower, mk view!!!!

Thank you all so much! I let DH read the replies and we watched the video and he's now really excited about it. Which is a shocker because he's like the anti-Disney.. But hopefully this trip will change that.

It sounds like Rachel (DD1) will be more then able to use her walker at the hotel. We want her to be as independent as possible at the hotel so she won't mind using the stroller 95% of the time in the parks & it sounds like this will be very possible!
