They will love the CR. Don't forget to file a TR with us when you can:)

We plan on doing a TR for sure...last year on the Poly trip, between my mom and I, we took around 1500 pictures. Ridiculous, I know! :confused3 Needless to say, many of them were cut, but had plenty to use for my TR. Most mornings I was up before everyone just to take pics of the resort...I plan on doing this at FW and CR;) It's always so peaceful and quiet in the mornings...my favorite time at WDW.

I also like waking up early and walking around whatever resort we are staying at because I agree it's a very peaceful time to be there.

The next free Disney Trading Night will be held on May 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Disney's Contemporary Resort - Ballroom of the Americas. This event for trading pins and other Disney merchandise is open to guests of all ages.

I am waiting for them to announce the date this event will be taking place in August.

Yes, it is so peaceful and you feel like you have the whole resort to yourself. I love seeing the steam rising from the CR pool, the CMs and all the lights on when it's still dark when I go out to jog.

What did you think of CL at the Poly? (You can tell me the truth, we're not on the Poly thread:laughing:). I just changed from the YC/CL to the Poly/CL for our split. (Just noticed your link to your TR so I will start reading your TR to find the answer to my question.)

Hi-
I've been searching the boards and reading through the threads and can't seem to find the answer. If i'm staying at BLT on rented DVC points, can I go to Top of the World lounge. Or do you have to be DVC member staying on DVC points to be able to go? Thanks for everyone's help.

Only the DVC member staying on points has TOWL access.

I hope you have a great cruise:goodvibes

We had a great experience with the Poly CL!! Can't say enough wonderul things about it. The location of the Hawaii building is perfect...the view from our room and from the lounge were absolutely beautiful, too. My TR should sum up everything...hope you enjoy!

By the way, where exactly do you run at the CR?

I really enjoyed reading your TR yesterday and I especially loved all the photos. You have such cute children and your parents seem so sweet. It got me really excited about changing to the Poly. Your TR covered all my questions and even though it's almost a year old, I don't think anything is out of date.

The CR is my favorite resort, but it lacks a great outdoor jogging path, doesn't it? Usually, I go down to the Olympiad and use the treadmill, but sometimes we jog back and forth from the BLT parking area to the Garden Wing parking lot area or down the path to the MK and over to the path that follows along Seven Seas Lagoon to the EWP canal.

It's exactly four weeks until your next vacation! Are you going to the CR or are you doing a split?

Hi all!! Can you help me out and refresh my memory please? It's been a few years since we've stayed at the CR (now that the BLT is open) and I need a refresher course on room numbers please. I just need to know which way the numbers go from the MK side to the TTC side...do they increase or decrease? I know the floors are the first 2 numbers added together, but I want to know what number is closest to the MK so I have an idea down at the front desk when they give us our room number. Honestly, there really is no "bad view" of the MK....but I'm really hoping for "high up and close to the MK". TIA!!:thumbsup2

Oh yeah, and regarding HA rooms, do they end in the same numbers and are they located on each floor? We had one on the 14th floor years ago and would prefer not to go that route again. Thx!!;)

The room numbers get larger toward BLT and the MK and smaller toward the Garden Wing and TTC.

The front desk has a map that they can show you where your room will be located even if your room isn't available yet. If it isn't to your liking, you can certainly ask about another room. I can't answer your HA room number question. They're not identified on the CR room number map I have.

Thanks for your kind words! My parents really are wonderful people and love WDW just as much as me. Dad is super excited about the CR...it's been 20 years since he stayed there...so much has changed!

If you like to walk/run in the mornings, then the Poly/GF has a great area for that....the walkway between the two resorts...plus you can go past the GF until you run into the end of the sidewalk:confused3 I've always found that sidewalk strange...not sure why they just didn't extend it to the MK. Your idea about the MK path is great! I completely forgot about that walkway. I'm not much for running on a treadmill unless I have to.

We are staying at FW cabins the first 2 nights, then heading over to the CR on Saturday morning for 7 nights. I'm curious to see if I will like the cabins/campgrounds...the jury is still out...but will let you know in my TR;) I feel quite sure that the CR will not disappoint!!

Thank you! I didn't have much luck when I tried to request another room last month for our stay at the BLT. I'm sure they must have many people ask for another room. I was prepared, and knew exactly what room they were giving me (it was on the 7th floor, but facing the CR). She was able to get a room on a LOWER floor :sad2: but with a better view of the Castle, so we took it!:thumbsup2

Thanks for posting this...very helpful. We are staying Tower-Bay Lake view...are there any 'bad' floors? I know there are no obstructed views, but was wondering if I should request a higher floor? Not too worried about noise at Chef Mickey's...our kids don't nap anymore. At night, I'm assuming by the time we go to bed, Chef Mickey's will be closed. At other deluxes, I've ALWAYS requested because there is such a variety of rooms that you could get:rolleyes: Would NEVER 'NOT REQUEST' at WL, GF or Poly!!! ...still love all of them, but CR seems to be a bit easier on room selection:confused3

Thanks! (27 days and counting;))

Well I know you said the the noise from Chef Mickey's won't bother you but if I had say which floor was the worst I would say it's the 5th floor with their rooms that are right above Chef Mickey's since it's exactly one floor below. Now you could also get a room on the 5th floor over the Bay View Gifs store and won't hear anything from Chef Mickey's.

Thanks! I think I will play it safe and request floor 6 or higher...no 5th;)

Since the path from the Poly to the GF is only about a mile, we jogged instead from the Poly to the TTC parking lot. Early in the morning there aren't any cars and you can jog around the perimeter which is huge.

We (momentarily) considered the FTW cabins for our next split. Since there isn't a health club and the beds are doubles and not queens, we changed our mind quickly, but I still would like to try them someday. Your TR will probably help sway me in one direction or the other. I think it's a great idea to do them for just a couple of nights. We could certainly survive a couple of nights without a health club and queen beds.

I'm eager to read what you think of the cabins for a short split-stay! We love riding bikes around FTW when we stay at WL. The horseback riding, while not very exciting, is nice, too. We're going to do the archery our next trip. Have you done that yet? It feels like you're on a different vacation when you go to FTW! I think you're going to have a lot of fun. Will you be renting a golf cart? DD12 wanted to stay there just for the golf cart:laughing:. Can a 12-year-old even legally drive one of those things?:scared:

On what thread will you be posting your FTW/CR TR?
