Turn down service is automatic if your staying on either one of their two Club Level floors, so because your staying in a regular Magic Kingdom View then you need to request it. There is no charge for it although I read that other guests who do get this will tip the Housekeeper that does it for them, so that's up to you if you want to do that. As for it being worth it all they do is leave some chocolates on your pillows, turn down the beds, empty the garbage, replace any dirty towels you might have, close the blinds and they might turn on the radio or the TV so it will be on when you get back.Staying Contemporary MK view in August. I have heard about turn down service and I am interested in hearing more.
Is there a charge if you want this service?
Is it worth it?
Please fill me in.
Thanks!!

You're welcome.Sounds good to me! Thanks!![]()
No you can not. It's actually the other way around because anyone staying Bay Lake Tower can swim at the Contemporary pool if they want to.I'm at work and could not read through everything, if your staying at CR can you use the BLT pool?
Thanks

If I bought a DVC contract it would be for BLT, but I'm kinda strange...my stays at WDW HAVE to be in the tower of the CR. It has become as much a part of Disney for me as Cinderella's Castle.![]()
One of the Cast Members who remembers my family and I from our previous stays at the Contemporary asked us if we would ever want to stay at Bay Lake Tower. We told her while it sure is nice and etc it would be weird for us because off all our previous stays on the Contemporary Tower. Plus we like having their stores, restaurants, Monorail station and etc all just an elevator ride away. So for us that would be the major difference.I've really debated that myself Airgoofy. We are also CR Tower fans! We stayed at the BLT for the first time this past April and LOVED IT!!
I remember someone saying if they were add a counter service location inside Bay Lake Tower then it would DVC members more points or something like that to make it happen. So my guess is they won't be doing that and from what I have seen it's not hard using skybridge from Bay Lake Tower to the 4th floor of the Contemporary.Yeah, I've wondered about that as well. My guess is they will do something with TOTWL and add a food place or something in the future. We purchased a SSR resale contract outright for a really good deal and have really enjoyed DVC. I guess we are used to not having any food places at SSR w/o a walk. We have never stayed in the MK resorts, yet, every trip, we find that we spend time there along with MK and Epcot.
We only get to WDW twice a year.
It's funny, we use our children (or child, in our case) as our "excuse" to go to WDW, then we count the years until they go off to college so we can go more often and at non-peak timesYou are sooo lucky to be able to go twice a year!!
Right now we go only once a year.![]()
But as soon as our daughter goes off to college ....we hope to head down in May and December!
...only two more years to go!!
(see you at the BLT)!!![]()

The Figment antenna ball reminds me that I must not forget our WDW Parks CD for our trip next weekend. I always play the "Imagination" song when the ride starts to get tiresome. It always gets us laughing - you just can't get that song out of your head!
I think I may have said that in the beginning, but not anymore. Good thing dds (8,6) like going there. Friends (and a few strangers) have asked me about restaurant choices, transportation options, resorts, ticket prices, figment van antenna ball, Disney people on the window,![]()
All this talk about brining stuff reminds me that my family and I need to start packing, because this coming Friday we are starting to drive down to Clearwater Beach and then it's off to WDW.The Figment antenna ball reminds me that I must not forget our WDW Parks CD for our trip next weekend.
