Staying in a Tower TPV room in March. Can someone please remind me which rooms have beds that face the MK - odd or even numbers? And my silly kids want to stay on the end above Chef Mickey's. I wanted to switch it up but they said NO WAY!!! Go figure. Anyway, we were on the lowest floor above the convention center last time and i didn't like seeing the roof. Any idea how far up to go before it is less of a distraction?

Odd numbered rooms have beds which face the Magic Kingdom.

Now the highest non Club Level floor you can stay on in the Tower is the 11th floor, so maybe you should request that or say as high a floor possible.

Maybe not the best thread to ask this on as I might get some biased answers ;) but here goes...

Thinking about doing a solo trip the weekend after Labor Day, just Friday morning to Sunday evening. I really want to focus on the Magic Kingdom--I love it, my fiance? Not so much. So I'm thinking about doing a Studio Room at BLT. Any pros or cons?

Studio room is winning out over a tower room because it's pricing out cheaper with the general public room only code. I have an AP, so I imagine it'll stay that way when the AP rates come out...

Here is a picture of exactly what it looks like.

What is the closed door to the left of the open refrig. door?

My husband, mom and I toured 5 different resorts when we were there in the Fall so we could pick a place for this trip. We toured the BLT and thought the layout of the rooms was fantastic! I still think that the low ceilings in the CR are weird, and I am only 5'2"! I also think the Tower rooms are really dark and the BLT rooms seemed much brighter.

All of us did think that the furniture looked a little worn in the BLT rooms. We saw 3 of them, so that gave us a pretty good idea of how they are maintained. It didn't look dirty - nothing did in the rooms or hallways! - but it just looked "tired." Does that make sense?

We are staying in the CR this time - CL/MK View - and will have a nice balcony. If the ceiling height gets to be too much for my DH, we can go out there. :lmao:

I think you will enjoy the BLT room! They really are nice and it is perfect if you want to spend a lot of time at MK!

When we stayed in at the CR in 2008 there was a great loop of music that played by the pool. I know I have been able in the past to get a polynesian loop and an animal kingdom lodge loop of music from the kind folks on the DIS. Anyone have a list or anything of what is played at the CR by the pool or otherwise. Starting to get very excited about our trip and wanted to set the mood!

Here is the entire pool music track, thanks to Craig! Enjoy!

Hoping for some great tips here!

This thread in the DVC Planning forum is helpful in deciding on a room location request:

And, the BLT owners' group thread has helpful info, too:

Is there a ping pong table at the Contemporary? I was pleasantly surprised to see one at the GF and I also spotted one at the Swan, so I was wondering if this was standard around Disney when I start trying new resorts.

I just love ping pong.

I hope you have a fantastic trip once yours rolls around, too!!

I finally scored the lovely 40% Pin code and am planning to book a few nights after our cruise on the Dream. The problem is I can't decide where.:lmao: I have wavered back and forth between AKL, WL and CR with the Poly thrown in at times.:confused3 It will be for 3-4 nights from December 15 on and we will most likely do the DDP and only get 2 days tickets for the parks to do MK and Epcot. This trip is partly for my DH's 40th birthday so I love the idea of celebrating it at one of the original resorts that are also turning 40. The problem is I just don't get that Christmasy feeling from the CR. Is is better in person than in the photos? Christmas music, etc..? Also, none of the Garden Wing rooms have real balconies, right?

Well the Contemporary is very easy for getting to the Magic Kingdom with their walkway that goes there and it's easy getting to Epcot. Just take the Resort Monorail to the TTC and switch to the Epcot Monorail.

Now the Contemporary does have a Christmas feeling because in the past on some nights they had Church groups signing Christmas songs on the 4th floor in front of the Fantasia store, the last 2 years they built a wonderfull It's a Small World display made out of Chocolate and etc selling various desserts along with other items.

Finally their Garden Wing rooms don't have any balconies, however their 1st floor rooms come with a patio. So if you want a room with a balcony then it's best to stay in the Tower since all those rooms come with one.

I was running my dates through the CR for the week of Sept the 19th to the 27th and could not get It. It looks like starting that saturday night through at least the 27th there book?. Is there any chance that these open up say In the next week or so?
