For the first time I rode around Shelby Lake which is the larger of the lakes at GSP. Several walkways out into the lake.

Looking over at Gulf Shores

Looking at campground, the blue water tower is the entrance.
Lower end of Shelby the bike lane is right up against roadway.
Another walkway over the lake, you can see the water tower better. Good cool breeze.
For dinner we went early to Woodside Restaurant which is in GSP. First time I've eaten there. It is now mainly things like sandwiches and appetizer type food. They have outdoor live bands, this evening show was just warming up. It was way early so no crowd there yet.
DDs got bacon burger and chips.
DW got club
I had grilled chicken. Will say, very good sandwiches indeed. Each plate about $14 plus drinks so about $80 for us total but not having to cook and no crowds was worth it. I'd say if I'm in mood for sandwich or burger I'll go back. Good stop off if your out biking.
We ended up heading on home before the mass exodus tomorrow. Smooth trip back for sure.
Got bigger plans come July. I'll post more on this later.
