The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Hope you get to relax a little bit now, enjoy the end of the big stress without having to worry about the new stress, spend time with family and just with yourself!

I hope your interview with the hospice goes well. I have no idea what went wrong with your other interview. And I would be the last one to give you good advice. I recently read an article about how much the culture of hiring differs in different countries. But it could have been a million other things that made them pick someone else. Don't overthink it!

:cool1::cheer2::cool1::cheer2:

Time for a happy dance!!
SOOO Happy for you! All your hard work will soon be recognized, honored and celebrated!
Hope you have a great week and your tail bone gives you a break from 'being a pain in the butt"
Looking forward to hearing all about it.

"The good news is that my tailbone isn't broken; the bad news is that when I say that Nursing School was a pain in the butt I'm not lying and came just short of busting my ashtray. Next step is to see a physiologist and explore injections."

This is so weird!!!!!

Just the other day, I was talking about the DIS and "friends I've never met". I mentioned a few people and I specifically mentioned you! I said something like "And then there's Liesa. She seems nice enough, but I have a feeling she's a pain in the butt." OMG! Is that eerie or what?!?!? It's like I knew!!

(okay I didn't. but maybe you smiled when you read that? Maybe a little? No?.... Darn. Well I tried, feeble though it was.)

Driving is VERY painful and I have to do this sort of butt-shuffle while cruising

<snort> "butt-shuffle". I'm going to have to use that.

Luckily, I'm pretty sure that most people think I'm just hip-hopping to my tunes.

Ever wonder if someone pulls up beside you at a light and then tries to find what station you're listening to?

The few others probably think the coffee has "percolated" and my teeny-weeny bladder is being bossy.

:lmao:

Anyway, I went in and the x-rays didn't show much. So off to the next folks. And scheduled Ibuprofen. Meantime, I get to endure an hour on my rear end for the hour of our Presentation, and then Pinning. Yay me.

I foresee many standing ovations in your future.

Some other news, which I'm reluctant to either share or call fantastic, is that I got a call from the Hospice Group today. The lady who called me last week after looking at my resume and who basically told me they weren't hiring new grads, called me back. Apparently, she forwarded my resume to the "Interviewing Committee" and they would like to interview me after all. It will be on Wednesday at 10:00. I am really anxious about it. I guess I did NOT do well in my first interview at the Hospital (but thought I had), so am just not sure how this job hunt will go.

Change of heart? Of opinion? Good luck either way, no matter what.

Hospice pays very well, and it's a field that I think I'd really enjoy. Helping people find comfort and kindness in their last months is a gift I know I can bring.

That's an amazing gift. I have a friend who's going through a rough patch right now with a family member. And I'm ashamed to say that I just don't know what to say or do. I try to mostly listen, because I think that's what they need, but... it's not a gift that I have, I don't think. I envy you.

Wow!!! So happy for you!! What a huge accomplishment!!!

Good luck with the interview...I guess not a huge amount of partying tonight because of that lol

Just very quick before I go watch LOTR 1; the interview is actually next Wednesday. So time to really prepare, and fill out the application they asked for. Already had a couple Cadillacs, so celebrating is ummmm... happening. ;) But Saturday is our big bash.

And to update... The presentation went VERY well. Hoping for a good grade on it. I'd love to pull an A out of the term.

That's 6 long, hard terms
of Nursing School. The relief is overwhelming.

So soon? Huh. Didn't seem that long at all.

:duck:

(Very happy for you!)

When will you know?
(Not that I have any concerns about it whatsoever)

Now you can go and sit and relax for a bit!!

Uh... maybe not sit...

Congratulations on finishing Nursing School!! I remember the feeling well (even though it was almost 22 years ago :scared1: )

Good luck with your interview. I do some Hospice work (have to do as part of my On Call position at my Home Care Agency) and it definitely takes a special person to handle it. It's sad but it can be very rewarding.

So sorry about your tailbone hurting, hope you feel better soon.

My Friends,

I want to be here relaxing and enjoying your company. But I need to fill out some applications and clean my house some. Also having a big celebration bash on Saturday and need to make my potluck things ahead. On top of that, I have NO idea what I'm going to say at the podium Friday night. Probably need to nail that down. I promise replies are coming. I'm thrilled I still have a few readers, and really... there is much to come. I'm lurking a little, and do read the comments, just don't have a lot of extra to respond for a few more days.

For those interested: I got a 99% on our Case Study- it was the best of the 6 groups. Final grade was a 92.35%..... FINALLY got my A this year. It will be interesting to see how that affected my overall 2nd time through college GPA. Regardless, those cords and stole are MINE!

Kisses,

Steppe

You seem surprised. I'm not surprised one bit.
Of course you got the best score.

Regardless, those cords and stole are MINE!
