And as far as value goes, it depends on the type/quality of hay and what kind of sucker you have buying it. Like those horse people who want pure alfalfa hay. I've got a friend who bales a lot of hay and he loves horse people. He feeds the cheap stuff to his own animals and they do just fine.

@pkondz already mentioned it, but this will not work. You'll either have to use all 3 in EPCOT and then just take your chance on what you can get for a 4th at MK, or (what I'd do) just save your 3 for MK and hit Soarin at RD. If you have a group willing to move fast, you can do Soarin' right away, hit TT - single rider line if the standby is too long and then the rest of the attractions you wanted to do shouldn't have too much of a line by this point.

My group- there will only be 3 of us is WAY fast. Willing to mow down anyone slower or more naive. I think it'll actually be a pretty fast coup.

I hope it isn't too crowded. I know at MVMCP last year, we went on a sold out night and it was the least crowded MVMCP I've ever attended.

That's great news. I don't want to come away feeling like my time and money was a waste.

That would actually be a very nice dinner. I'd enjoy that!

I love that WDW has so many KINDS of options- sometimes you need fancy; sometimes you need on-the-go.

I'm looking forward to trying Soarin' again with the new theme/video. I haven't gone on it in years, because my kids take turns being scared. They both said they'd try it again since it's a new video, you now if we get the bottom row.

MNSSHP- we went twice. Each trip a bit different, first one we went during the week, I think the first party night, crowds were light by Disney standards and we got to do a little of everything. Second time was I think a weekend because my niece was with us and she goes to traditional school (her mom won't let her miss, so they only go weekends). anyhow..... my kids are allergic to dye so we don't do very many trick or treat lines, just a few for them to get the idea. One year they were giving bananas away in front of jungle cruise and that was perfect. The first year we made the mistake of doing the second parade and my little one missed it because he was asleep right before it started (your kids are older so I don't see you having that issue). The second year we skipped the parade it's always hit and miss doing any disney trip/party/event with my kids because of sensory issues and what not. The extra decor was fun and we took some fun "extra pictures" and we liked checking out what other people were wearing. The one thing and possible tip I remember is: we sat down for the parade across from the castle with some snacks really early and we got to see the Villain show in front of the castle (which we didn't plan, but was great to pass the time) and the parade started shortly after. So I would try and time that to happen.

Glad they're willing to give it another try! It's fun to see all the kids growing up and ready to move past fears, ready to get onto bigger things. Notice I didn't say "better" because I think a lot of the rides that are "kiddie" rides are still a ton of fun... ie. Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh.

I like the idea of catching the Villian show. I'd forgotten that was part of the evening. I have the soundtrack and without having been, it's hard to piece together what track goes with what show/parade/etc... That's one of my favorites, so don't want to miss it!

I honestly don't remember too much about MNSSHP. I know that I was EXTREMELY grumpy. It was very hot, VERY crowded, and nothing was panning out as we had planned. If we hadn't paid for the party, I would have called it a night and gone back to the resort bar. Instead, I grumped around like the saddest of princesses (mix between angry enslaved Princess Jasmine and dream trodden Rapunzel) . Part of the problem was my in-laws (and husband... who was raised by them, and therefore tours like they do...) doesn't mind the crowds or long lines or just flying by the seat of the pants... also they don't seem to mind not eating, drinking or happiness. I like planning, and if the planning goes awry, I like coming up with a different plan of action, even if it isn't as specific as before. If I remember right, it just felt like we wandered aimlessly, doing nothing but looking at lines and saying, "do we want to... ? No? well, what should we do? LETS WANDER OVER HERE AND THINK ABOUT IT WHILE WE WANDER NEVER SITTING JUST WALKING NO FOOD before squeezing in to watch the parade next to a bunch of crummy stroller parents who were rude. I didn't even know the DIS existed then, so I just assumed that I would see what I wanted to see, eat what I wanted to eat, move where I wanted to move. It didn't go that way. (I mean... OBVI... you're going to wait obnoxiously long for the Haunted Mansion. It's a HALLOWEEN RIDE).

So, I would say my advice would be:

#1 If you can go on a slower night, that would be ideal
#2 Kind of obvious... but be flexible in your planning. Choose just a couple of things you must do, and then have a number of things that you might want to do, and play it by ear based on the crowds. Aimlessness (unless you plan to just sit around and people watch) isn't the best during the party. I really think it's my favorite parade (I haven't seen FoF parade yet, and I think I will like it... but I love Boo to You. Just loved. IT.).
#3 Know whats open for food... it was late, I was starving and we couldn't find anything open (again... I didn't DIS back then. I just assumed my waffle sandwich would be there. But I distinctly remember eating KitKats on the brink of tears before the parade started because.... sugar in blood MELTDOWN).
#4 Dress up, but for the love of all things holy, dress in something breathable. Do not dress like the tightrope walker lady from the Haunted Mansion in MANY HOT POLYESTER LAYERS, including petticoat and bustier. You will want to hang yourself from the room that stretches... that is, if it's hot? It could be frigid! SO MANY FACTORS. Dressing up was pretty fun, though. We got a lot of compliments from other guests and CMs. But wear something you might wear anyway. If there is one thing worse than sweating through your bustier, it's taking it off to reveal a oddly crimped, sweaty tank top and carrying it for the rest of the night.
#5 Mini bottles in the bra? Wait.. you can't do this. It's against the rules. Mini bottles. In. The. Bra.

I would definitely do MNSSHP again... but of course would do it differently!

You must. Well, if you like rice, and creamy, dreamy whipped cream, but not too sweet a dessert. Topped with berry compote of sorts. It's one of my very faves that I'd do every trip.

I like rice. I like whipped cream (although not fanatical about it, like some), I like berry compote...

But I do not like rice pudding... so that's why I'm so hesitant.

I seem to remember us watching the parade and just waiting in the hub for the fireworks to start afterwards.

No, nothing like that. His animals are well cared for and far from malnourished. It's just that grass hay, in most cases, is more than adequate. Especially when paired with feed and other supplements. We just tend to make fun of the snooty horse people around here who want pure alfalfa hay and are willing to pay top dollar for it.

When in all honesty, unless we're talking about a race horse, alfalfa isn't even that good for them unless you're trying to fatten them up. But I digress.

I'm enjoying your Kentucky report. Nice to see some Middle America adventures. It brings back some good childhood memories for me. Not Kentucky, but just the down home feel. Hopefully I can get an update done on my thread soon. I am really frustrated with my internet at home right now. I thought it was my laptop until I took my work laptop home yesterday and experienced the same pokiness. I need to sort that one out in my spare time. Enjoy the rest of your week!

You are right! Flexibility is the name of the game. I suppose if it comes right down to it, I'd HAVE to do the parade/Hallowishes/ and the HM. The things I would love to do if we had time would include: The Cadaver Dans, The Villians Show, and at least one trick-or-treat trail. Yes, we def need to know the eats options. As I have it, Casey's is on the list, but hmmm. maybe no? I"ve tried to find online what's open on several sites, but can't seem to. I'm sure it's there, but I'm not finding it.

Right now, I have it on a Tuesday evening... that oughta do it, but then again, NEXT year's dates aren't even released. We'll have to maybe tweak that a bit.

I've already chosen my costume: since I'm celebrating my Nursing School Graduation, the only obvious choice of costume is my Mickey scrubs, my stethoscope, and maaaybe my nursing cap. We are still given the choice of doing a separate, intimate capping ceremony led by one of the older nursing instructors. I made the decision a long time ago to do that to honor the nurses of bygone eras.

As to #5... uh, yeah, I can actually see myself doing that.

I detest pudding as well (it's a texture thing), but this is so much lighter, almost, (ALMOST!) like a mousse, and the berry on top makes is way less pudding-y. You can always throw it away, and get a schoolbread.

I did see a sample/suggested schedule on some site I went to last night. That one seemed to make sense, and we'll likely stick kinda close to that. I do think we'll do the 2nd parade, as it's a thinner crowd. Then hit up a few more rides after that.

I think it's the Goat Shangri-La. Although, we could let them loose in the field up the street where they just cut the alfalfa and is waiting to bale. Hmmm???

Oh, Tammie, your computer issues are even frustating me! I'm so sorry; I know how rotten having those issues is. And yes, getting sleep is definitely a good thing, especially when it's lacking. I do know that we all definitely miss you too!

I am making about what it's going to take for a night's stay in a mod every day I work. So it's all good. I need to just keep telling myself that it'll all be worth it!!

So, we all know by now that a couple of my main goals right now are to make enough this summer to cover the coming year's tuition and get a good start on THE TRIP.

I've slowly listing some stuff in EBay, and I'm pretty excited that a $200 item sold for full asking price. You never know what junk sitting around will go for (in this case some over bought wallpaper). Let's talk about what this equates to in Disneytrip Speak, shall we??

A night's stay at a mod, 3 MNSSHP tickets, 2 REALLY nice dinners, several shopping trips around the World (remember my self-imposed cap), re-fillable mugs for everyone (I would never buy one for each of us), or 20 inexpensive adult bevvies (10 expensive ones with souvie cups).

What I"m saying, is that $200 will actually go a long ways. I have a lot more to list on eBay and will in the coming days, but hey, I'm pretty darned excited!

Can I ask my DISFriends to please pray? My hubby was deployed to one of Oregon growing wildfires (probably for about 16 days) a couple days ago. I've been getting e-mails off and on from him, and JUST got word that a copter had crashed working the fire. I don't have details yet. This is a VERY dangerous situation ALL over the PNW right now. Houses are going up in flames and now lives (apparently) are being lost. 3 others were killed earlier today in Washington state.
