The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

All I know for sure is in all probability, when it opens, all the naysayers will be sprinting to it at rope drop everyday for at least a year or two.
And if it happens to be really good, those same naysayers will claim to have always loved the idea.

I will not be sprinting... unless there is a really cool attraction that makes a line. Otherwise, I'll meander just like I do with most of the rest of the park after hitting up EE. And if they are all sprinting that way, it leaves an empty park for me to take unadulterated photos of.

Yup it is is. I have been so busy that I have no DIS time and well I am just cranky. On top of 60+ hour work weeks.

I'm sorry, Pat. That just bites, and no wonder you are cranky! I certainly would be too because I can imagine that it is bull poopy you are dealing with that makes those long hours; not just long hours, but crappy long hours. :(

About the Poly and Wishes. The bungalows now skew the view of the castle. Those point eating way to expensive bungalows have the head on view- I have gone to watching EWP from the boat dock. It is now centered over there and I works well and I don't have to worry about sand bug bites from the beach.
Wishes .... trying to think if I actually stayed to watch from there but without a castle view essentially it take some of the "special" away.

That bites too. I saw your photos, and that just really torques me off. But I do like your alternative strategy of watching from the dock. I guess when there's a will, there's a way. :)

The Ditch would be perfect. :)

I thought I'd find some takers!! I am simply so excited and can't wait to hang with you again! In fact, I was looking at photos of our day together, and found some of us on Toy Story. :)

I love the Big Lebowski, I even threw a Big Lebowski party at my house once (I dressed as "The Jesus")... it didn't end well because someone brought some ultra-premium russian vodka for white russians, and I think that it might have been laced with something because the four of us that drank from that bottle were SO SO sick. We didn't even drink that much! And I served cheeseballs at the party. It was a huge mistake.

Hmmm... that sounds fishy; I do think someone spiked something. What a horrible way to end something that should've been kinda fun. :( Oh well.... We laughed a lot. And sometimes it was even at the movie.

Anyway, I often found a little wine with my studying helped me retain more information. So, go for it!

Tomorrow the 6 of us are going for margs after our exam to either celebrate or cry in our beer. Either way, we all want to do it together. No getting too wild though as we have a 4 hour long HESI exam (which is a practice for our National Boards in a few weeks) AND Orientation to next year on Wedneday. I have a VERY long week coming up as I have to study everything from the entire term for the Final on the 9th.

Generally a nice pinot noir is open for regular study days. ;)

ACTUALLY, we almost have the same order of favorite parks... except I would say that EPCOT and AK are tied, because I love Africa so much (I lived in Cameroon for a few years) -- though I would say that EPCOT has a better selection of things to do. The details in Harambe are so amazing to me.... I just loooove it! But MK is my third fav and DHS in last place, probably forever. I, too, love the WS and feeling the culture of each spot in quick succession is so unique. I only wish that they would add a few more countries!

YOU DID!!!??? I have some friends who did their Wycliffe Boot Camp in Camaroon, and they loved it! Someday, I'm going to go to W. Africa and dance to the drums!! I want to go SO badly!

And yes!! I totes agree with you! They need more counties terribly and I"ve been part of quite a few discussions and polls of what we'd like to see go in. My top 3 might be: Russia, Turkey, and India (not necessarily in that order). Yours??

I love your style of update. It makes me :sunny: and :flower: and :teleport: and :teeth:. And I feel like the DIS is cathartic, too! Even when I'm dog tired, I find myself wanting to relax and check in with my Disney homies.

Awww, thanks! I love to write, but actually am a bit disappointed in my lack of time right now to really put a ton of thought into writing really quality stuff. My older TRs are a lot more fun to read IMHO; hopefully this summer I can really put not only some MEAT to the trip planning itself, but also some time to make the chapters even better. :) Writing is something I do for fun, so I'm glad you enjoy it!!

You will always find good and fun people here. I have made some very close "real life" friends! You're always welcome to find company; it's like a big family!

Hmmm... I'm glad I finally found a good way to convey my feelings about it.

Awww, was that hard?? :rotfl2:

Sometimes, I just aren't good with the words.

Apparently. :lmao:

HP at least has Butterbeer.

Still not a big enough draw to get me to spend a park ticket's worth of admission.

I don't necessarily hate the addition of characters into the rides. I'm kind of OK with a lot of it. But I can't really argue against what you're saying. I appreciate the nostalgia of the old rides, and I don't see the need to add characters to them. They serve a role and clearly have withstood the test of time if they're still there. But it is what it is. As long as I still get to enjoy Pirates, I'm fine with Captain Jack Sparrow becoming a part of it. But would I like it any less if he wasn't added? No.

Points well taken. Still sticking with the purist POV though. ::MickeyMo

:rotfl2: I usually seemed to get there around June or July so it was usually fairly warm. But it always kind of fascinated me how I could get in the car, drive maybe 10 miles and get out and it would suddenly be cold.

Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes. Other places use this cliche, but I've never found it truer than here in Oregon! We had a hum-dinger of a thunderstorm last night, and yes, it blew up Facebook. It is such a rare treat for us here! Those are the one thing I really miss by living here.

Whew. Glad you don't hate me. I know most people I talk to seem to love Portland and talk about how great of a city it is. Of all the major cities in this country that I've spent time in... well, this is the last one I'd want to return to.

Nope, don't blame you a bit. It is just another big metropolitan place, but with a dose of weird that is just too big to overcome.

Any more takers??? I'm about to have a margarita or two- am I doing a happy dance or wallowing in a state of bummer deal?

She's gone offline, so it must have already happened. We might have to wait another day or 2 to find out the results.

Laugh all you want. This one was watery, so we're hopping to somewhere mo' better.

Just to put you all at ease, I blew the 88% out of the water with a resounding 90%.

Now back to business....
