The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Let me guess -- there was a 2-point extra credit question at the end of the test?

Congrats! Now celebrate a little. (but not too much)

Just dropped by to say I hope your final exam went well!!! :-) (88 or bust.....)

Thanks, Marv! It went quite well; I think they were nice to us being the last exam before Final. Some people are teetering very, very close to the fail mark.

I'll play it safe and say 88.

Close.....

92 and blew your personal curve. .... :teeth:

Also, very close (I wish it was a blow out)

I will go for 92 as well! Just because i really hope that I am right.

As close as Marv was...

Are you cheating off my paper Magdalene? :rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao:

You finally beat your 88 and got a 90.

Ding, ding, DING!!!!!

Just go ahead and tell us before you get drunk and pass out. :rolleyes1

Not a chance. We went to "South Campus" first for Margs, but they were so weak we got disgusted and left. Only to find that the second place was just as disappointing. :( Oh well.... I do have a long day of a 4 hour exam tomorrow and our Orientation for next year, so I guess it was a good thing to not risk not feeling well tomorrow.

She's a smallish lady, so that probably wouldn't take long. ...or much. ...lol

Obviously, you will have to be set straight come next October. There appears to be some learning to be done here.

She's gone offline, so it must have already happened. We might have to wait another day or 2 to find out the results.

Not even close. We noshed on fries, the other girls had gallons of beer (Hef) and I got a watered down load of crap, and spent $15 on not much. Sad day.

Congratulations! Drink up! :drinking1

Thanks, Andy! I'm happy where I sit because there is a pretty good chance I can hold my A.... but won't know until Tuesday for sure... see below.

Oh, that's fabulous!! So, now with some luck in the final you are a tiny bit closer to the A than you were yesterday!

A TINY bit. Here's the stats:

At this moment, I have an 88.4% WITHOUT the FOR SURE extra credit point I have right now. With it, an 89.4%. They do round up, so I am exactly 1/10 of 1 freaking percent away from an A. We get a little extra credit for the HESI, our 4 hour practice test for National Boards that I sit tomorrow, so that should do the trick to get me to the point that's over 89.5%

So, that means in order to KEEP my A (assuming I get above a 950 on the HESI) I need to get (if my math is correct) an 85% on the Final. I think I can do that. Instead of 50 questions, there are 100, and I can't imagine missing 15 on it?? So, just like last term, it is coming down to the last minute. I really won't know for sure until next Tuesday my final grade.

Let me guess -- there was a 2-point extra credit question at the end of the test?

Congrats! Now celebrate a little. (but not too much)

I only wish!! That would have been so awesome! But no. It's a long slog and every point counts in this game.

Way to go!! Congrats!! Enjoy another margarita!!

Thanks, Kathy!!!! I did, and am now firmly planted in my armchair and not moving until dinner! The DIS is my home for the next 3 hours. :)

Congrats Liesa! Wearing your pin I hope.............

Minnie was on my lapel the entire day!! :D I'm sure it was her that gave me that extra 1 question I got right that gave me the 90 instead of 88%!!

X is for: X-ams

Thank you all so much for all the encouragement and hoorah you have given for this last regular exam of the term... of my FIRST YEAR of Nursing School, in fact! It gives me something to have as a little fun on the side as I slog my way through what has been a long many months of stress, steep learning curves like I have only ever encountered once before (when we moved to Crapistan), laughter, tears, terrifying moments, self-doubt, and small, but consistent celebrations- because every little victory, every single day I am still in the program, is a day to celebrate.

For those of you who only read the chapter, here is the explanation once more of where I stand mathematically. It's pretty simple, I have to work my butt off for the next 7 days studying/reviewing for my Final... here's why:

At this moment, I have an 88.4% WITHOUT the FOR SURE extra credit point I have right now. With it, an 89.4%. They do round up, so I am exactly 1/10 of 1 freaking percent away from an A. We get a little extra credit for the HESI, our 4 hour practice test for National Boards that I sit tomorrow, so that should do the trick to get me to the point that's over 89.5%

Meantime, the Girls and I took the afternoon off to have lunch and drinks. It was SO nice to have a few hours to have some downtime, and celebrate that all of us will pass the term. I don't know what I'd do without these ladies and all of their companionship over the last year. Honestly, I spend more time with them than I do with my own family- and that's no lie.

So, now off to your lovely threads! I hope I can make it to many of them before I have to sign off for dinner and bed. It's an early night for me for sure!

I got it right!!!
what'd I win?

Hmmm.... let me think on that. You do realize if I grant you a prize you'll have to dish at least your name- possibly more.

From what we've been hearing, I believe you!

Yup. Exhaustion catches up with you.

It's one sad consequence of Nursing School. They told us at the beginning of the year that we'd become like family. That totally true. Some of the folks I have grown to dearly love. Others I think are just as annoying as some in my own family. (Mom, none that are reading this!)

And yes, exhaustion is setting in. The only thing that keeps me sane right now are my little Mickey Wishes (which I need to do some catch up on!)

LOVE it! I'm here and reading! Just wanted to pop in and wave hello! :wave2: *smiles*

YO! So glad you're here! :welcome:

I wish I could say that there is a whole lot more Disney and planning, but this is a marathon so to speak, and I've set myself down to camp for a while. Those that are willing can see this journey through, cheer me on as I go, and vicariously live their way through school with a BIG, FAT, Disney trip as a reward and celebration at the end. It's pretty exciting really. Just not as Disney-filled yet. It's coming.... promise.

consistent celebrations- because every little victory, every single day I am still in the program, is a day to celebrate.
::yes::

I need to get (if my math is correct) an 85% on the Final
I certainly hope your math is correct. Otherwise you'll end up overdosing somebody. :rolleyes1

But I'm confident you can get that 85%. Good luck!

I'm glad you have such a great group to go through this experience with you. The fact that you get along, study together and enjoy some celebratory drinks together is a great thing. :thumbsup2

Just to put you all at ease, I blew the 88% out of the water with a resounding 90%.

:woohoo: I knew Leslie Nielsen would be a good luck charm...eventually.

So, that means in order to KEEP my A (assuming I get above a 950 on the HESI) I need to get (if my math is correct) an 85% on the Final. I think I can do that. Instead of 50 questions, there are 100, and I can't imagine missing 15 on it??

Oh, please, give us a challenge! You got this.

Wow! Definitely a good thing to have that support group in place...and that you all get along!:rotfl:

You got that 90%...I just know it, Liesa. I'm glad you had some "down" time with your girls. Congrats to all of you.

Sitting having a pedi... With Exam #1's Binder, of course. The Final covers material from 5 exams- may as well start with #1 today, right??

In other news, I scored a 935 on my HESI, which gives me the extra 1% I needed to get me up to the solid A- now I just need that 85% to keep it on the Final.

Putting in job application #1 tomorrow morning after a Transitional Care Facility came to recruit us today. I'm pretty excited to enter the workforce and make some moolah for trips to Disney. And other not so fun to pay stuffs like... tuition. I will keep you posted.
