The ABC's of Trip Planning, Pt 1- K is for Keeping Things Kooky- Drinks V-Z; pg. 197 + New Link

Found my spot, found my spot!

Back on page, like, 101.

(To be honest, I was expecting worse)

Obviously I'm not gonna comment on everything that happened since then, because that'd be a lot of stuff, and if you're like me, more than half those comments would probably make you go "Huh? When did that happen?"

I did manage to spot a reminder to myself to buy my wife a Minnie Mouse nurse pin since she's officially into the nursing program, so there! Of course, now I can't actually find it anywhere by itself on eBay, but oh well. I still got the reminder!

(40 down, 40 to go...)

(At the 200 days mark - must mean ADRs are coming soon, woot!)

And here goes the ADRs! Man, having to do it in two shots would have stressed me out, but I'm glad mostly everything seems to have worked out in your favor! Of course, at the point I'm reading, there's probably been some changes (cause it's not a real PTR if there's no Dining Plans changes...) especially since I'm seeing you were hoping for Skipper's Canteen, which has recently switched from walk ups to ADR... suspense!

Loving the Halloween costume :) It is a shame about the new restrictions, but you clearly found a great way around it! Those Mickey Ears are clearly gonna be the perfect touch (along with all the other elements, but you know, everything's gotta have its crowning glory).

Ten pages to go! I think I can safely start multi quoting without this getting overwhelming! ;)

Especially since 90% of it appears to be great food plans that I can't really comment much on seeing as I have not tried most of these picks. I think the most adventurous food we've eaten at Disney thus far is Katsura Grill. We need to stop being such wimps with food (though it's easier to be experimental when the bill o' fare is a tad lower than at WDW...)

This looks so great! That is some skilled airbrushing. And glitter always makes everything better ;)

That's 6 long, hard terms
of Nursing School. The relief is overwhelming.

Belated by a couple of weeks, but congrats!

party:

she asked me if I knew "So and So". My heart did a flip flop and I about died. Turns out a former boss, who I did NOT get along with at all, has ended up working there now too! It's a very long story, but let's just say that I left my old job with a mutual parting. It was a temp position, and I was very glad of it. I'm VERY certain she would not give me a good review if she were asked, which now I'm pretty sure she will be. The GOOD news is that ALL 7 of the other references I used will give me raving reviews, and those are the more important ones because they will speak directly to my nursing.

Oof, way to be between a hard place and a rock... I really do hope those 7 raving reviews by far outweigth a less glamorous one.

There are definitely some lingering hard feelings I'm sure on both parts, so I'm just praying that it doesn't interfere with the process now.

My thoughts are with you on this! Of course, I'd be completely caught up right in time for a cliffhanger ;)

Last note to add, lovely wedding pictures!

Drive by post...

Quickly to say:

I SCHEDULED MY NCLEX EXAM!!!

July 20th will be the telltale day as to the quality of both my program and my retention/studying skilz. That gives me about 1 month to study like mad.

I also took the opportunity to give the HR Lady a call to tell her that I'd scheduled and 1) ask for a good reference to get me started in the basics of Hospice Nursing and 2) give her more specifics on the vacation time I needed for the trip and Andrew's wedding. She told me that I could consider those dates pre-employment negotiations and that I'd have that time off assuming everything goes as she and I both expect. Woot!!!!!

Ok, off to get some panoramic mountain and sunset shots. The campfire burgers with grilled onions and mushrooms were fabulous. As I'm sure the s'mores in a while will be also.

Congrats for scheduling your Boards! I remember that time well. I took so many practice tests while I was preparing for them it was crazy but I felt that it helped me a lot.

Glad you got your time off squared away.

I probably only get like one alcoholic drink while on a Disney trip. I just can't justify the prices.

Bummer about forgetting to pay for the car before they closed. But no reminder call or anything? Did you leave them your cell phone number?

The "funny" part is Glenn, uhhhh, yeah I did leave a number and yeah, they did call.

Way to go!!! Exam not too far away...that's great!! It seems like adequate time to prepare, but not so much that you have to stew about it for ages. And good that your potential new employer seems good with everything!! Things are looking up!!

I thought I commented here last night, but then again I was up past 1AM (when the boards go down out here) Perhaps I hit reply and got the "closed" message.

Good job on scheduling your NCLEX! One step at a time! You'll get there! And yay for including prior scheduled vacation in your contract!

Sorry about the day... but sounds like things are looking up!

No

No, they are looking down. Waaaaaay down all the way to my pillow. I haven't slept for 2 nights, hiked straight uphill for 2 hours, sat on my inoperable tailbone for 4 hours while everyone else hiked for 4 more hours, and studied. I'm tired, I hurt, and am now snuggled down in my mummy bag. Good Lord, when is Disney?!??!?

I know how that feels.... oh, I know.

Not that part. Sounds.... invigorating? How's that? Makes it sound less horrible, no?

and am now snuggled down in my mummy bag.

Now that sounds good!

Good Lord, when is Disney?!??!?

3 months, 2 weeks and 4 days.
