What little boy (or big boy) (or even big or little girl!) wouldn't LOVE an up close and personal, hands on tour of trains?! And yes! Lots of Meets coming our way. Should be a day made in Heaven.

When you said you made a difference to that patient , it reminded me that the reason I LOVE what I do is seeing the difference I can make in the individuals lives . It is such a joy when I can joke/tease them and they know I am doing just that and LOVE it !!!

It IS a Terrific idea! I think they would all really enjoy the Train Tour a lot! Let me know, because I have a specific day I'd like to do it. But I"m open to re-arranging if necessary.

You should take joy in what you are doing- your work is so needed and valuable! We definitely need more people in the world with great big heart like yours.

Oh almost forgot where is Skippers Cantina ???

Skipper's Cantina is a new restaurant going into the Adventure Land Area in which the theme is that the Skippers from the Jungle Cruise pick up extra money by serving tables. Of course they always use their comedic talent on the job.

I've heard this particular tour gets one all up and personal (again, who doesn't love that?) to steamy machines.

You like it hot and steamy. Check.

Rumor has it that photos are absolutely allowed and you get a free cup of coffee! So does that make it a $60 cup of coffee with a side of train?

That's exactly what I first thought!

Know what else is gonna be really fantastaroni? I get to see Main Street completely deserted.

And fantastaroni is so a word.

(Hmmm.... this may make getting that wide angle lens I've wanted for a while, too.)

Also, I have a date with a certain Jalapeno Margarita. Or a Horchata Margarita. I still can't decide which one to try first. We could take a poll. (If it's a tie, I'll do both.)

Just yesterday we were notified of our Clinical Assignments. I was assigned to the most exacting instructor we have. His specialty is ICU Nursing, and I think I *may* have scored a Term in the IMCU (Intermediate Critical Care Unit) or the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. Of the 4 students I know of in my group, we are all the top students in Theory, and are, shall we say... the more mature of our cohort. I am SO excited about this possibly being true. It isn't confirmed, but this is my hunch. My hard work is paying off!

Way to go!

Train tour sounds like fun. My ds used to be a complete train fanatic when he was little. We spent way more time than I ever imagined in every possible train museum around, it seems! The appeal seems to have faded for him, but you never know. Since I haven't done any of the tours, Behind the Seeds is at the top of my list, however.

And I vote for horchata margarita. I tend to be a purist about margaritas, but I do like me some horchata every so often, and the combo sounds tasty! Strangely enough, now I'm wanting horchata more than a margarita!

I believe it is a little over 3 hours with a little coffee break (free coffee, HECK YES!) in the middle.

You will LOVE the Seeds Tour! It was fabulous in every way. There is SO much stuff to see in there, and so much information packed in!

I do love horchata. So much! The whole package sounds really great to me! I"ll be sure to take lots of pix and let you know what I think. ANd yes, you should go grab some with your take out Mexican for dinner tonight.

WE interrupt this PTR for some very exciting (well, at least it is to ME!) news!!!! The first views of the Skipper's Cantina came out last night, and BOY OH BOY am I excited for this one!!! Like... I-just-got-$50-Christmas-bonus-from-work excited. Which I actually did! WOOT!

Check out the scene, Folks!! Can you guess which table we've picked out to wait for? OH, and by the way, TOTALLY just found one of my souvenirs too. WOWZA, Kazowza, I REALLY want an Apple Slushie cup.

Skippers Cantina looks pretty cool. I look forward to reading your review on it as it will probably be several years before I get to try it. I walked by it on Thursday and it was still all boarded up so I am surprised that it opened already.

Pardon me, but wasn't this about two months ago? If you're talking 2016, this day I will be performing a concert, which is why I'm scheduled to arrive on the 18th.

I have been curious what you and Fran do for livings, or if you're retired what you did do in the past.

Well out of college I worked at a music publisher in the Marketing department. Eventually I quit when Fran and I had opened our own online sheet music store. However that became tedious, so we closed it down. Her family has been in property management since the 1960s and we inherited several buildings in Long Beach when they died. She has been working for them in the business all her life.
Now we manage the properties and as long as no one has problems, all we have to do is pick up the rent checks every month, which is why I say "cushy lifestyle". However when an apartment goes vacant, I get to scrub the floors, clean the cupboards and all that fun stuff. Plus I have to be on call to answer phone leads and show the place at the drop of a hat.
Luckily we only have one place vacant, but it's one that requires some major work on my part. When I get home from vacation, guess what I get to do full time?

The first views of the Skipper's Cantina came out last night, and BOY OH BOY am I excited for this one!!!

It looks great! The menu is really interesting!

As a fellow landowner, I feel your pain, and share in your sentiments of the niceness of it. It's the best and worst of both worlds. Either feast or famine of work. And yes, we do all of our own work on our rental as well when it turns over. Unbelievable how trashed it gets in so short a time.

I have absolutely NOTHING against a well-made purist marg! Seriously, one of the best drinks I've EVER had was none other than the Original made at La Cava with top shelf Anejo. Wisely, I only had one...

Ok, I must confess, I don't get the October 1, 1931 reference. I did some Googling and don't see the connection. But yeah, the LIGHTS! I wants one. Seriously, it would looks suh-weet in my living room which has a lot of art deco and Mission motif decor.

And yes, you got it. Anara and I decided we absolutely want to sit in "the best seat in the house". Sipping Schweitzer Slush. In that uber cool cup I'm going to get me one of. Can you just imagine having a hot toddy in it during the winter by a fire?

I think it is great that they finally added a new TS restaurant to the MK, it was desperately needed. And the place looks like a lot of fun and I like the menu. Of course, now this is going to be the hottest ticket for reservations... I guess I better start making plans for our next trip to figure out when we will be at the MK so that I can be online at the 180 day mark on the dot... I hope you get your reservations!!
