Okay, that was all so lovely. Obviously I've known you for a while, but it is so lovely to see that update with the whole family, including wedding photos. And mistakenly, I did not grab kleenex for that last post and that was a mistake.

How lovely to recreate that special family moment. Amazing.

Reading that post really makes me think about my Nana and Mom and how lucky I was to have them...and also how I won't be able to recreate those moments anymore but I can give them to my children, and that's something I know they'd be thrilled about.

Speaking of kiddos, HI KUKILALA!!!! Welcome to the DIS!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I thought I was having a dream again. :rotfl2:
If that is the kind of thing you expect to see in your dreams, you should probably seek help. :rotfl2:

Your New Year's trip looks like it was a fun time. Except for that big old tree in the middle of the road. But at least you made the best of the situation! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

I enjoyed your nature photographs. Very nice. :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing that story about your aunt and the picture on Main Street. I think we all would like to be able to go back in 50 years and see one of our favorite places and relive those memories like she did. I'm sorry for her passing, but those pictures and the memories will always be there. :thumbsup2

Firstly,

As long as the TP is on the roll, I could care less which direction it goes. And, if you have a cat who likes to pull on a roll, "upside down" is much more effective at deterring a total disaster.

Second. LOVE the getaway, it sounds just like a lovely family time all around (except for the tree in the road and the missing wedding ring part!).

And lastly....

Sniff. Such a lovely story to hear again, forever remembered is right.

You certainly made your way through the alphabet over break!

I always use UT... best thing about buying them early is you get the 2014 pricing. :thumbsup2

2014 Pricing... WOOT!!!!! It'll be very interesting to see how many price increases happen and in the end how much I'll have saved. :)

Alright, you convinced me. ;) Now I'm going back to read. :thumbsup2

Ahhh, so glad to have you here, my friend! I wish you had a TR going too; they always got me to think deeply and appreciate more what's truly important!

Yes, oddly I put a bit more up here, or rather share more openly, than I do on FB. A strange dynamic, but need to be mindful of potential career futures, etc...

I warned you... ;)

I actually thought of you as I wrote and posted that. Family is what makes the memories all worth making over and over again!

If that is the kind of thing you expect to see in your dreams, you should probably seek help. :rotfl2:

Always an opportunist am I!!:rotfl2:

Why thanks!

Totally agreed! Hard to believe our first trip with most of us was already back in 1998, so going on 16 years now...

Good point!! I'm actually far more irritated and consternated with finding an an empty holder and a fresh roll sitting on the floor beside the toilet!

Second. LOVE the getaway, it sounds just like a lovely family time all around (except for the tree in the road and the missing wedding ring part!).

It was relaxing for sure!!!

Sniff. Such a lovely story to hear again, forever remembered is right.

You certainly made your way through the alphabet over break!

I did want to get a fair amount up before I have to really focus in on learning what I need to.... More coming as I can.

I do remember that story from your previous TR. And so cool to see the original photo! I love that it was such a special moment, and that even the CM's recognized it as such. What a great, great memory.:goodvibes

Also, I have to say that I have tried using toilet paper with both the overhanded and underhanded dispensing methods, and have failed to notice a difference in its overall effectiveness. :duck:

I prefer over, but the effectiveness of one vs. the other can be heavily impacted by the location of the dispenser in relation to the throne.

Hi Tim !! The sight of you and the Whip brought me back:rotfl2:

There's NEVER any lack of entertainment here! If it's not whips, it's toilet paper. Just wait until Tate is able to post! ;);)

I guess that's a good thing.... :confused3

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It's a very good thing. Tim, it will NEVER lose it's entertainment value!! :rotfl2:

Truly a once in a lifetime experience, and how it so randomly, (Providentially?) happened just adds to how special it was.

So, the effectiveness at getting the TP off? :rolleyes1:duck: Or some other aspect of its effectiveness? Just wanna be clear here. :lmao:

And so the thread has gone the way of all others. :sad2: (Don't let me fool you, I live for this.)

Now onto the discussion at hand: The only appropriate distance from the throne is one that:

A) The cat can't reach. Thank you, Cynthia.

B) The toddler can't reach. Take note, Mark.

and

C) Is easy for teenagers to change. (Clearly, I've snorted something strong today.)

A) The cat can't reach. Thank you, Cynthia.THAT is a must have seriously thought of hanging it from the shower head to prevent FELINE tampering !!

B) The toddler can't reach. Take note, Mark.Oh how I remember those days :rotfl2:

and

C) Is easy for teenagers to change. (Clearly, I've snorted something strong today.)They only notice it needs changing when there is NONE left !!:rotfl2:

How about we throw in the preference for 1 or 2 ply !!!:confused3:rotfl2:
