The 70 - 300mm goes to a soccer game

Took the camera to my dd's soccer game last night. Thought I would share some shots with you.

Very nice... I've gotten some real nice shots with that lens at both soccer games and baseball games. Its one of my sharpest lenses.

This was my first real go with this lens since getting it. I'm quite happy with it so far. The reach is awesome, some of these shots were taken from way across the field. Didn't do much pp to these just some cropping and slight tweaking of the exposure.

Girls soccer can sometimes be very tedious to watch especially after having two older boys who played soccer at a higher level. Bringing the camera and this new lens will most certainly help the time go by much better.

Yes it focus's quite quickly and set at 5.6 aperture with adequate light the shutter speed should be fast enough for you. These soccer shots were at f/8. I should have went down 5.6 when the light started to drop of but at the time I didn't think about it. I was just so excited using the new lens.
