The 40th, MNSSHP, Food & Wine, A New Camera and 3200 Pictures. Sept/Oct TR.*New 5/5

This was the one picture from The Magic, The Memories and You that came out great. I loved that I got this shot on the 40th, of all days. I actually have this picture in a WDW 40th frame in my room.

Now it was time for Wishes. I could watch Wishes every night. I listen to it on my mp3 player quite a lot, actually. When Wishes first started, we had some people that walked right in front of our cameras at the last minute. At one point we told this one guy that his head was blocking my dad's video camera. Asking if he could move just a little. His response, good. For being such a special day, there were some rude ones out there.

Most of my firework pictures had to be edited alot. I always had smoke in my pictures. Any suggestions on how to not have that happen? Or maybe a way to edit them better?

I was really hoping for there to be a mention of the 40th during Wishes, but it never came. They did add some perimeter fireworks at the end. Where we were standing though, all I could do was admire them, no pictures.

These last two are my favorites from tonight. The bottom one is quite often the wallpaper on my phone.

After Wishes ended, it was utter chaos on Main Street. There was no one directing the traffic flow. It took us 30 minutes to make a loop in front of Casey's. Finally we were able to cross Main Street and make our way to Tomorrowland. I took a much needed break, after all that crowd.

We decided to take a spin with Buzz.

After Buzz, we slowly made our way out the park.

It had been a long and tiring day, but definitely worth it. Despite the crowds and lack of huge celebration, I enjoyed every minute today. The crowds of fans are what made the day. It was great meeting new friends and just talking to fellow fans. Over the course of the day, I talked to two guys who had been in line since the wee hours of the morning, a couple who had come in for just the one day and surprisingly alot of people who had no clue what was going on. I have to say that the 40th was one of the most interesting days I have ever spent in the World.

We made our way back to the room for a good night's sleep.

Day 2 (Finally!)

Our destination today was MGM. I will always call it MGM, stop trying to correct me. LOL.

Just in case we forget which bus stop we needed.

That was the bag check line. Where did all these people come from? And why were they all at the same park as me?

We made it to the park for 8:45am and I was elected to make the mad dash to Toy Story Mania. Before rope drop, I made it to the end of the first set of stores on the left hand side of the street.

My view as we all made our way to Toy Story.

This was my place in line for a FP.

Our FP's were for 11:05-12:05. The standby line was already out the door. At this point we decided to just roam around for awhile.

I just might buy this hat for my next trip.

My dad's a mailman, so we had to take a picture of him next to the mailbox.

For you, Hollybelle.

It was now time for The Great Movie Ride, where I saw Joanna. (Hi!)

Munchkins!

After the ride, we started roaming again. We didn't have too long till lunchtime, so we didn't want to go to far.

I love Chip and Dale's outfits.

We caught them right as they were leaving.

I love the reflection in this one.

Time for lunch. We ate at 50's Prime Time Cafe for lunch today. I had the sampling of Mom's Favorites.

It was very good. My favorite though was the pot roast. I will be getting this again next time. Dessert was Dad's Sundae. I never finish the whole thing.

It was time to cash in our FP's for Toy Story.

My dad won.

We stumbled upon these guys.

It's Mike and Sulley.

Mulch, Sweat and Shears. I love watching these guys perform.

Apparently none of those people in the bag check line this morning want to see Muppets 3D.

My favorite gag in the room. A net full of jello.

What are we gonna do today?

It was now time for the Backlot Tour. I still like this ride. There is so much to take pictures of on this ride.

I love the next series of shots. I took them one right after the other, trying to capture the flow of the water.

It was now time for the Pixar Pals Parade. Or whatever it is now called.

I finally got one with his eyes open.

I love UP.

It's Woody and Buzz.

After the parade my dad went on Star Tours. I took a break while I waited and then wandered through the gift shop.

Here comes our on Cavalcade of Characters. First we met a penquin outside The Great Movie Ride.

Next we visited Winnie the Pooh inside the Art of Animation.

Time for the Mouse himself, Mickey!

The rest of the characters we met this afternoon were part of the surprise group. Every fifteen to twenty minutes a new set of characters would come out. We met them all except Minnie and Pluto. There was a little girl behind me who really wanted to meet Minnie. Her dad was telling her that he wasn't sure if they would make it because of how long the line was. The little girl was whispering c'mon, c'mon hurry up. At this point I realized that I didn't really need to see Minnie again. So we stepped out of line and the little girl made it to see Minnie.

Stitch didn't like that I had Mickey and Minnie on my shirt, instead of him. I tried to tell him that they didn't have any shirts with him on it, but he didn't believe me.

So, I had to kiss him to make up for it.

Belle insisted we that we hold our skirts up like this. She also asked all about the books I was reading.

We made our way over to One Man's Dream next.

Can you imagine what was discussed in this office? What major decisions were made here?

The Man himself, Walt Disney.

We watched the movie, which I don't think I have done before. I loved it.

At this point we decided to take our chance on the line for Fantasmic. As we turned the corner onto Sunset Boulevard, I didn't believe my eyes. There was no line at all. I even asked a Cast Member to double check.

I made it quite far down the path before I came upon any crowd.

This was my first time seeing Fantasmic.

Framed this one!

While I enjoyed the show, I don't think I will ever wait in line for it. If I happen to get there and the timing is right and there is no line, I will watch it again. Otherwise, give me Wishes any night.

We did some more roaming around, trying to decide on dinner. The problem was that it was now EMH and not everything was open. We had to hunt around for dinner.

We finally found some at Rosie's.

I was having fun taking pictures of my food tonight.

We went on one more ride on Toy Story. The sign said 70 minute wait, but it only took about 35 minutes.

My dad won again, but not by much this time.

Photopass time!

After our photo shoot, we made our way back to Pop.

Day 3
Today we started our day off at Animal Kingdom. There were morning EMH's, but we didn't make it till about 8:30. It was okay though, we weren't interested in riding anything before breakfast. We just wanted to be able to take our time getting to Tusker House.

We made our way in to get a locker and this lady was there to greet us.

Time for another photo shoot.

Now off to search for some food.

The welcome committe was out this morning.

I grabbed some fast passes for The Safari, before breakfast.

We listened to the band for a little while, then made our way to Tusker House.

The food was delicious. I love Mickey waffles!

Goofy was first this morning.

Sorry, it's so blurry, but it's the only one I have of Daisy and I.

Mickey asked for a kiss. Who am I to say no?

I love the look of Tusker House. Lots of little details that most people probably overlook.

It was now time for our safari.

I think someone is following us. I love having the backseat on the safari. Great views in multiple directions.

My favorite one from the safari and it doesn't even have an animal in it.

Flamingos!

After the Safari we walked through the Pangani Trail.

Next up, Rafiki's Planet Watch.

Jiminy Cricket, the reason we went to Rafiki's.
