After 8 days, 7 nights at the Happiest Place on Earth, we are home. We stayed at POR from November 16-23 and loved it! Of course after much care that the kids didn't get sick for vacation, both my DH and I had terrible allergies while there, however, that didn't stop us! It was our kids (7, 5, 3, and 1-almost 2) first trip and we wanted them to experience everything we could! It was cold by Florida standards, but like spring to us!
I'll try to post pics with this too if I can figure it out!
On Sunday we flew out of Indy and landed in Orlando about 1:00, we took DME(just an old yellow and black bus though) and arrived at POR around 2:45 or so and were checked in quickly and sent to our room. It is a beautiful resort and our room was clean and bigger than we thought. 2 of us slept in each bed, one in the trundle and the baby in the crib.
That night we just relaxed and ate dinner at the food court, which was very good for fast food. Loved the create you own pasta!
On Monday we woke up bright and early and went to AK for am EMH. It was perfect! We went right to the safari, which the kids loved!! We saw tons of animals, including the male lion which really delighted my middle son (5). We then wondered around DinoLand and rode Triceratops Spin and spent time on the Boneyard playground. Then we had breakfast at Donald's Safari at Tusker House. This was delicious and a lot of fun for the kids. After this we wondered around a little more and then went back to the resort to gear up for our trip to downtown disney.
We rode the boat from POR to DTD which was relaxing and fun. When we got there the boys made their own lightsabers, they were really wanting to do this, and then we went to T Rex restaurant. This was the highlight of our trip for our 3 year old. He absolutely loved it!!! I was worried that they might be scared, but they all thought it was fun!
Tuesday to come!

Ok, so Tuesday was our first Magic Kingdom day and we were all excited to see the castle!! After breakfast in our room, we left by bus and got there right after opening. We went to Tommorrowland and rode Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, which the kids loved and then headed to Fantasyland where we walked right onto PeterPan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, and It's a Small World. We really had no wait for anything and it was wonderful! The kids loved everything and were just so excited to be there. After a quick pretzel snack we headed to Toon Town and toured Mickey and Minnie's house and Donald's Boat before taking a round trip train ride around the park. Next, we started to head over to the castle for our lunch at CRT.
More to come...

Now, on to our lunch at CRT. Expectations were very high for this lunch and I'm sorry to say that it was disappointing. I have waited my entire life to eat in the castle and our server ruined the experience. He seemed annoyed with us and didn't offer any "magic" to our lunch. Everything else was great, but the server just really dragged my DH and I down.
Anyway, after lunch we were all whipped, so we went back to the resort and had some down time. I then returned to MK with my 2 oldest boys (7 and 5) to watch the castle lighting, SpectroMagic, and Wishes. This was the highlight of the trip for me! It was cold, but so magical, there is really nothing like it.
Wednesday and DHS to come!

Bummer about the server at the CRT. Did you complain to a manager?

I'm back... sorry

Wednesday
This was DHS day and we got up early so that we could get there at rope drop, but the bus was late, so we got there a few minutes later. We went straight to Toy Story Mania and only waited about 10 minutes. It was so much fun!! The boys really enjoyed it, as well as DH! :thumbsup2
We then went to Star Tours so my older boys could ride with DH. They loved that, but weren't interested in Jedi Training :confused3
After that we wondered around until lunch and then went to our reservations at Hollywood N' Vine's Playhouse Disney Lunch. This place was almost deserted! However, the lunch was good and the little ones really enjoyed the music, parade and characters.
After that we caught the end of Indiana Jones and then split up. DH and oldest DS went to Lights, Motors, Action and I took the little ones to Playhouse Disney Live on Stage (great:thumbsup2 ) and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Then, we got a great seat for the parade!! After that we wondered some more and went to Pizza Planet for dinner.
Thursday- Epcot Day to come!

No fantasmic?

I've never seen the parade at the studios. My kids think the High school musical pep rally was the parade. So don't tell them. We're usually back at the hotel by parade time.
