The 1st place you ever ate at WDW was....

Our first trip was in 2006. Our first day was AK day. We ate at Tusker house for lunch back when it was a CS meal. I had the Chicken and Mashed potatoes and DH had the chicken sandwich. It was all very good.

First table service was Chef Mickeys Dinner that same night.

My first trip was waaaay back in '82 (I think). We went several times during the 80's and ALWAYS had 1 meal at Crystal Palace because my Dad loved it so much. Back then, it was cafeteria style and you would go through a line to select your food. We always had spaghetti even though it wasn't really that good. Guess it was just tradition! Crystal Palace is waaay better now and I still haven't done a trip without eating there! My father has been gone for over 6 years now and I will probably go to Crystal Palace every trip just in honor of him.

It is so nice to hear that you have that special memory of Disney World with your dad. My dad passed away a little over three years ago, but he hated crowds, and lines, and rides lol, so no Disney memories with him. It is so nice to hear a story like yours though. :goodvibes

The Starlight Cafe back when real bands would rise out of the floor. I love Cosmic Ray's still to this day! lol pirate:

Wow, you are making me put on my thinking cap aren't you...;) When I first went to WDW I was 9 in 1987 and we stayed at the POLY. Now I don't know exactly where it was (if it was a the POLY or somewhere else) but I remember the first morning there we had a character breakfast with Goofy, Dopey, Mickey, and Minnie. All I remember was burrying my head into my dad's chest because that was the first ever character interaction that I ever had.

1985, other that the sandwiches out of mom's cooler in the trunk we had 2 meals.
Crystal Palace, and as I read this thread I was trying to figure out if I was right because I remembered it being like a cafeteria. I see in above post I am not crazy. I don't remember for sure but I think I had a tulip cup of jello

We also went to the italian restaurant in Epcot. I do not know what I ate, probably spaghetti, but I definately remember what my older sister ate. She had some kind of red sauce with kalamari, not the fried kind. It was in a bowl and there were tentacles hanging out of it all over the place. I was 13 and thought she had lost her mind.

I don't remember which meal was first but I think it would be Crystal Palace.

I don't remember any of the meals from my 2 childhood trips to WDW. The first meal of my first trip as an adult (in 1999) was at Cantina de san Angel in Epcot. I had the combination platter and a churro. We try to make it back over there during every trip.

Boy, that triggered an incredible memory - does anyone remember Michael Iceberg, who played this whole bank of synthesizers when he performed there? He was phenomenal ... he composed and/or played the music for the Main Street Electrical Parade, if I'm not mistaken.

You can find videos of him on YouTube. Amazing. Just really something.

Of course I went when I was younger, and I don't remember those. But the first food I actually remember getting at WDW was either at Cosmic Rays or Pinochio's Village Haus. At Pinochio's, I remember getting a huge hot dog. At Cosmic Ray's, I just remember having a burger and fries. I also remember that it was extremely crowded and dirty in there when we went, but I was young so I didn't really care.

I remember a burger place in MK circa 1973 - don't remember the name (barely remember my own :lmao: ) Also a burger place in Disney Market Place early in 90s (also don't remember the name) that used to serve a quadruple hamburger. Our son still talks about that one and he's 30 now.

The first place I remember is the food court at Dixie Landings (it was a long time ago) ; I think our first TS in a park was Prime Time.

It was the restarant at the top of the Contemporary back in the 70's. I want to say it was called hte Top of the World or something like that. The restarant revolved. I was 5 years old and that was the first year I went.

1995 Fireworks Factory (DTD). Ribs if I remember correctly. The restaurant was to resemble a fireworks warehouse after an explosion.

1984, ate at the Kona Cafe (not sure if it had a different name back then), had the shrimp tempura.

1985 - Thanksgiving dinner in King Stefan's Banquet Hall in Cinderella Castle. Of course I had to be different and had a steak instead of the traditional turkey dinner.

Magic Kingdom-Adventureland Veranda hosted by Kikkoman

Epcot-Rose and Crown, England

Disney Studios-The Sci-Fi Dine in Theater

Animal Kingdon-Rainforest Cafe-Breakfast on opening week, we got to meet the CEO before we ate.

Akershus in Norway. It was 1999, and it was buffet. I remember there being a lot of raw fish.

1999 Nine Dragons at Epcot. I was in Orlando for a conference and went to Epcot by myself for the day.

In 2000 my DH and I went for our first trip. Our first meal was lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe.
